Lily walked back to where she was after Diana was finished talking. She waited quietly, and when Dee nodded, she set the music machine thing so that it would start playing Magnetic. Lily didn't really enjoy Magnetic, but it was decent. Ish. Lily looked at Dee, quietly listening to the music as it started it play. It sounded a bit futuristic, Lily had to say, but she kept a smile, watching Dee, seeing if she would do well and sing. No, she always sang well. She looked to see if Diana could sing better.

Diana, tapping her foot like any good musician, started the first part as it came. She scrunched her face at the Light up part, rocking and singing with her whole heart, thinking distantly about Shadow and any sign of rebellion or strength, smiling, closing her eyes. Dee didn't really know what it was about music and singing. She sometimes imagined herself as a siren, calling out to her audience, willing them to listen to not only her voice, but her lyrics and the meaning and her expression. Diana smiled deeply and stretched her voice. Suddenly, her wings flicked outwards slightly, then recoiled, the music getting to her more by the second. It wasn't the song, but herself easing into a comfort zone. Singing is my talent. It's my passion. It is me. And so she sang better. It may not have been noticed, at least not by many, but it was better. And the important thing was that Dee noticed.

The singer gave her thanks to dear ones like her adopted sister, Lily. Wait- "L... Lily!?" she said out loud and gasped, cowering back into the corner. Her face turned red and she tried to hide herself in the darkness of the cafeteria. That was so embarrassing, but... Xiomara sat up straight and focused her eyes on the young girl that was announced as Diana's adopted sister. Her wings were familiar as well. How could Xiomara forget them? They were different from the other bird half-bloods' wings.
I wonder if that really is her.. I've never seen her in her other form. "I know we've all been shaken up by Shadow and Marie. The least we can do is hope. And in memory of those many we have lost, I'd like to ask that we donate a few minutes of silence for their memory." Out of respect, Xiomara closed her eyes and prayed for everyone's grieving. It would also leave her sticking out like a sore thumb if she didn't know what was going on.
Her eyes opened when Diana started to dedicate another song to the half-bloods. As the performance was going on, Xiomara was trying to figure out what that was. Who was Shadow and Marie? Were they humans from a long time ago? Or, was something going on that she didn't know about?

lizardfart145, please read the rules. Lusaki was interested the whole time, but rather quiet. What if the assassins attacked? Lusaki had to keep herself from laughing at the irony- a song about hope, smashed by the same people that caused this to happen. Lusaki liked that idea. Wait. What? As the half bat listened to the song, she kicked her legs back and forth, her attention span starting to shorten. It wasn't her fault- she hated sitting in place, especially when she was upright and not hanging upside down. Lusaki managed to control herself, but her wings twitched, and her ears pinned back and forth.

Brenda, smiling lightly, examined the girl that apparently was the lead singer's adopted sister. They both are extremely talented, She thought enviously. They're lucky. When Diana asked for quiet, she ducked her head low, pinched her eyes shut, and recognized those that had been lost. She didn't know any of them, she didn't think, so she wasn't as shaken at the news. Brenda was shaken by everything anyway. But what if they get to me? Or Jack? She had thought a long time ago. What then? The next song started, seeming almost futuristic. It made Brenda wonder if it was meant to represent the hopes of the future, the image of rebellion, etc.

( lizardfart145, As much as it's fun to post pictures like that, we don't do that in threads like these. If you want to post pictures like that, you can post them in the Random Club/ Spam Club or the General Board. Like what Sunny said in the Joining Thread, you have to read the rules. Otherwise you'll have to face the punishments of the site.) Jack thought the same thing as Brenda: Man, they're both extremely talented. Especially for their age. It mostly amazed himself, probably because all the concerts he's been to, all of the singers had been at least 21. Then again, the theme was hope; meaning that these girls~these amazingly talented girls had hope to go up on stage, and literally provide hope to the academy. (oof short. )

The song ended with Diana feeling confident and happy and proud. She breathed heavily, smiling, hands out, frozen in place. Dee looked back, towards where Lily would be, smiled wider, turned back to the crowd, and proudly said, "Thank you!" Diana waited for a minute, giving Lily time to get the next song set up. "I'm going to go through the next two quickly since we do have a time limit. The next one will be In My Arms by Plum, choice of Lily, and then Brave by Sara Bareilles, one of my choices. I hope you enjoy! And don't forget: We can stand up to this!"
(*takes advantage of permission to powerplay Lily temporarily*) The song started up, slow and calming, and Diana sang though all the parts. The let it seep into the room, the light dancing across her face. At the end of In My Arms, Diana gave a few moments for Lily to get ready, and as the music started, she just grinned wider. It was too true. It was a catchy song too, and one of Diana's personal favorites, especially with everything that was going around at the academy. |People need to post quick here. Two or three, then the next thing will happen. *Poof*|

For most of the time, Shawn sat in his seat, with his arms folded on his chest. It wasn't that he "was too cool for this", it's just that Shawn was somehwhat upset about the whole concert idea. It seemed almost entirely idiotic that practically the whole academy was going to be here, while the assassins were on the loose. The first time Shawn saw the posters for the concert, he cringed. Honestly, it was a little confusing that he was there in the first place. Maybe Shawn just wanted to prove his theory correct, and see the whole scene unfold under his nose.
That just meant he was flirting with death.
Shawn politely clapped after each song, one song closer to the assassins arriving. All he felt like doing was exiting the cafeteria, and then telling Claire about this.

Lusaki grinned the whole time through the song, and all though the song was too loud, Lusaki enjoyed listening, kicking her legs back and forth. She was starting to get wiggly, but it wasn't her fault. This thing was getting long, and Lusaki would rather be out running around then cooped up listening to music, however beautiful it was.

|mmmKAY I'm inpatient. I hope ya'll post cuz this thread is a biggy| Opal was a shadow. Well, yes, that was her assassin identity cover; Shadow. But as the concert music sobered on - clear and angelic, and almost enough to tint regret into her humanity for destroying it - Opal was masked and supplied and ready, the late night darkness falling across her black hair and black mask and black jumpsuit and black boots. She was leaning against a wall in the shadows of shadows, somewhat close to the door, her black against the stone and her head titled back ever so slightly with her leg propped against it as well. Below her was a bundle, unrecognizable, but she knew what it was. Beside her stood Sapphire O'Connor, her ally, though more of an underling, hopefully ready and fierce as ever. Opal knew she would have to trust Sapphire then more than ever to keep her cool and follow her instructions. Otherwise the entire plan could crumble under her feet, a plan she'd spent decades perfecting. And she was already inconvenienced by the strange feelings she felt for Damian and Lusaki. The song that Opal found slightly ironic - Brave - finished with a satisfying ending, and she pushed herself off the wall, standing aboce the bundle with a slight smirk on her face. "It's time," She announce, turning to her ally with a wide smile, her face darkened on one side by the shadow the moon cast over the roof of the academy. "Carry her in. And drop her at our feet. Like we planned." With a sharp nod, Opal nodded, turned hastily for the door, shoved it open, and stepped in, clapping musingly loud. And she walked in. To the center of the isle, a placid smirk on her masked face hiding her slight unease. I hope Rosemary and Lusaki aren't here.

Lusaki turned sharply, her bat senses noticing something quite odd. Hearing a door slam open was one thing that concerned Lusaki because of this person's rudeness and inability to notice that there was a concert going on. But when Lusaki turned and made her high pitched sounds, she could shape out something familiar. Oddly familiar. Someone she recognized. Not like Lusaki only recognized the facial shapes of only 2 people, both assassins. Lusaki blinked slowly, looking at the figures. She then turned back around, her wings now shaking, her ears pinned flat against her head. Hopefully it was just a friendly audience who were just quite rude. The girl clapped for the music, which was really nice and pretty.

The first thing Jack had thought when he had heard doors open, was: Jeez, this guy is late. And soon after: This guy is super rude to be interrupting such entertainment.
Having feline senses, Jack could hear many things, and could enjoy the music better than most. This also meant he would get ticked off more easily if someone interrupted his entertainment.
So Jack was pretty agitated.
He wanted to yell at whoever entered the cafeteria, but then everyone else would be just as angry as him. So Jack stayed quiet. His annoyed expression stayed on his face, however. Jack crossed his arms, and sunk into his seat.

"Sounds great." The brunette muttered a reply, not a sarcastic one but feelings were getting to her. Sapphire was a little jealous about the plan. She couldn't sort out her feelings about this well, but her main reasoning for being jealous was because it seemed, to her at least, that Opal would receive all the credit for this chaos. Sure, she had knocked Claire unconscious. Sure, she had come up with the idea. But Sapphire just felt... A little left behind on the plan. After all, she was an assassin too. Sure, Opal arrived at the academy first. But still, she was there too, and she had injured people too.
Despite her attacking feelings, she put on a sly smile and slung the dead-looking Claire Blakely over her right shoulder. She pitied the poor principal a tiny bit, because she still had all these half-bloods to look after. But half-bloods were what she despised after all.

Lusaki heard the noise again. Okay, who are you!? Lusaki mode those high pitched, silent, and quick noises again, fast. They bounced off all the walls, and Lusaki recognized the mask of Marie. What was she doing here? And then there was Opal's mask. What was she doing here, too!? On the supposed shoulder lay a thing, though Lusaki had no idea what it was. It seemed to be inanimate, so it was probably some bag. But why was it so stuffed, and why did it have really long fur?
Lusaki narrowed her eyes and continued her echolocation.

Diaba's change of expression was almost comical. She went from pleased to mortally terrified in milliseconds, her light eyes falling on the two assassins, panic arising inside her. She noticed Lusaki whirl around, and several other halfbloods looking quite annoyed. They don't know its them, Dee realized with horror. She could only assume they would have noticed her shocking change of face, and threw her eyes around asking for silence. The last thing Diana wanted wad for anyone to get hurt.

Hauntingly, Opal nodded slightly to Diana, the white-haired girl on stage. She knows how to act, the girl thought, considering keeping Dee alive just that much longer.
"Well!"Opal said suddenly, greesing each half blood with a dominating stare. "A wonderful concert, don't you think Marie?" She chuckled slightly, low and frightening. "It's a shame that last song will likely have no effect to the extent of what we'll do to each of them if they dare revolt, isn't it?"

(Sorry I didn't mention this earlier, but she isn't wearing a mask. Just the black cloth thingy in the image that's loosely covering her mouth. Shh I know the outfit is tacky ) She grinned evilly and almost contently, though she still felt a piece of the plan missing. She flipped her hair to get it out of her face, and checked her outfit in a brief second. "Yes, indeed." She responded, glaring evilly at all the half-bloods, twiddling her sai in her left hand as she shifted Claire's weight on her shoulder. To take the weight off her, and also to have a sai in her best striking hand, she dropped Claire on the floor in front of the two assassins. "Oh, and should we mention their almost-dead principal?" Sapphire grinned outside to show her excitement on the topic, but inside she was a nervous wreck. What if Opal didn't want her to bring up Claire yet? Sure, anyone could easily see the unconscious principal, but would Opal want Sapphire to make it so obvious as to announce it? (OMG I JUST REALIZED THE WOMAN IN THE IMAGE LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE SAPPHIRE ONLY WITHOUT WEAPONS )

Lusaki narrowed her eyes, but didn't say anything in response. She didn't want to throw herself into anything. Meanwhile she noticed Lily peeking out from backstage, her hazel eyes wide in what Lusaki supposed was an expression of fear. Yea yea, that was ordinary. She look the other direction, noticing a half-lion. His tail was sweeping slightly back and forth, and his fists clenched and unclenched. If this hadn't been Lusaki dealing with the two people she feared would come, then the reactions would've made Lusaki giggle. They all seemed ready to beat the assassins up. Where was that when they were torn up by Opal? Lusaki held back a random grin. Grinning seemed to be the thing that people thought made Lusaki look creepy.

Shawn was on the same boat as Jack. He wasn't really enjoying the whole concert, but whoever this was, was making the whole experience altogether worse. Shawn desperately tried to ignore the sudden intrusion.
But then they started talking.
Shawn crouched down on his knees, and ran his fingers through his dirty blonde hair, trying to disregard the lecture.
"Oh, and should we mention their almost-dead principal?"
He stood upright in his chair when he heard the words, "almost-dead principal". Shawn quickly whipped his head toward whoever intruded the concert. Thank god the music stopped, thought Shawn. Now I can focus on what's important.
Horrifyingly, that was Claire, the principal and head of Animalia Academy, slumped over one of the assassins' shoulders. To his surprise, the assassins were wearing obvious "assassin" clothing.
Not so secret, eh? thought Shawn.
He knew that he could do nothing in order to help his girlfriend. Shawn was too afraid. Sure, he could probably shift into a bear, and attack the crap out of the enemies, but they were assassins. They were always prepared. (Shawn also noted that he was a bear shift, and there were such things as bear traps.)
(woah this is long)

The lead assassin waved away the suggestion as though she hadn't already been contemplating. "If fear doesn't drive them, to listen, maybe we'll have to make her less alive," Opal responded, taking a few steps forward, over the body slumped of the floor. The principal's battered face was turned enough so anyone could recognize her. Sharply, Opal nodded to Sapphire, asking her ally to do as she pleased. This is our moment. It took Opal only a few seconds to make it up the steps, swipe the microphone from Diana, and smirk softly to the crowed. "Well, hello, Animalia," she started, then laughed hollowly. Looking around the room, she nodded to those she recognized - besides Lusaki, of course. Can't draw attention to her. "Starting today, things are going to be different. Very different. I'll explain further later but... I've decided to be nice and let you ask questions. Don't try anything or I promise-" She nodded to Marie - "You'll wish our blades were nearer your throat. Who's first?"

Lusaki blinked. She was tempted to raise her hand and be a smart aleck. Maybe kill herself. Ms. Claire was very battered up. It made Lusaki wonder what happened. She needed to know what happened. The girl stared dead in the eyes of Opal, her own (yes, I'm thinking of changing the color of her eyes) red-amber eyes dull, her face slack. Staring, it was called. Lusaki noticed Lily melding into a bird. Rather pretty. The bird flittered over to a chair in the first row, and then perched on it. Perhaps to get a slower look. The half-lion looked the same. Lusaki mused over this for a while. They're probably taking over the school. Yea, that sounds about right. Maybe I can lengthen my lessons. I hope Claire's alright. I don't want her to die or something. They'll probably hold her captive. That seems like something a power-hungry person would do. What am I even thinking about!?
(I am allowed to make it seem like Lusa's noticing my own characters move, right?)

I'm late! I'm late! I'm late! Hannah repeated in her mind, to make her go faster. She didn't feel even the least bit overdressed in her silver sequin dress and silver sequin heels. It was a concert after all, and to her, concerts meant dressing up fancy. But her surroundings when she opened the doors to the cafeteria took her by complete surprise. An assassin was on the stage, and another one was just in front of her. Hannah saw the body of someone in front of the assassin in front of her, and she was scared. What if it was one of her friends? Scratch that, she didn't really have any friends. But what if it was... Grant? The death of her crush would be another crying breakdown for her. Her eyes widened as she panicked a little. What if the assassins would get her, because she came in late? What if the assassins kidnapped her and took her hostage? What if she was about to be the victim of another mass murder, right before her eyes? She didn't know, and she was scared. Hannah stood, her palms sweating, her heart racing, before the door labeled death. She just hoped the door would be locked, and she wouldn't be able to use it.

Cody thought the music was...actually pretty good. Secretly...he...really like singing him...so maybe he started humming along and singing what lyrics he knew. But since somebody else was in the row he did it really quietly. The concert was doing a good job of lifting his spirits when...oh no.
He recognized Claire and stiffened at the sight of her lying there- no- this couldn't be happening.
In a bout of courage and stupidity he never thought he'd have, the small 15 year-old stood up and shouted with a voice he didn't know he had. Well...he did know he had it but he never thought he'd use it in front of anyone else, not to mention towards assassins.
"W-why are you doing this?!"
He immediately regretted the decision and tried to shrink back into his seat but his white hair made him easy to notice, anyway.

Opal's gaze flickered from the new, appropriately-dressed blonde at the door to the young man shouting a question that was, doubtless, on everyone's mind. She smiled, not a kindly way, but more of a smothering beckon. "Well, well, young lady. Don't be shy. Take a seat. Marie and I would love you're company," Opal said slowly, to Hanna first. Then, her sharp brown eyes to Cody, she responded, "Why? Well I know both Marie and I hate halfbloods. I personally have a keen interest blocking me from killing you all right now, and an empire is too delicious a chance to put down. Anyone else?"

Jake held his tongue, not wanting to make Opal change her mind. It had all gone on so quickly- the music, beautiful, flowing, and then all of the sudden two assassins come by. Jake was doing well to hide any emotion except a blank, slightly perky expression. Jake did wonder what his brother was thinking. Maybe he was confused. Maybe he was scared. Was his brother scared? That didn't seem very likely. BUt then, Jake was never good at reading minds. Jake then raised his hand, and then said, "Uhh... Who are you???"
Oh shoot, Jake asked a dumb question.

Everything was alright. Well, was would have been a better term. Ben wasn't nervous at all. All he did was watch the whole thing go on, only a slight chill racing down his spine when he thought he could have sworn he recognized the second girl, but No, that's obvious. Of course it's going to be someone from the school. I probably bumped into them on their way past. Then Jake spoke up. The twin turned sharply, eyes wide. "Nini katika dunia unafanya ndugu!?" He hissed in Swahili. "Wewe ni kwenda kupata kisu katika kichwa yako!"

Sapphire's eyes darted around the room to see who had spoken, and was shocked to see it was none other than Jake Rhodin. She didn't want to hurt him, but then again, he wasn't... Ben. So he wouldn't be as hard to hurt. And, Opal had said to do as she pleased. So first, she dropped her sais by the door, by the blonde girl. Then she slowly brought out her katana from its sheath, trying to show no nonsense, and walked to Jake and stood in front of him. She knelt down to Jake's level.
"You know who I am." She whispered to Jake, attempting to drag her katana across his neck slowly. She guessed he would be too paralyzed in fear to do anything about the katana- after all, she thought all the half-bloods were wimps. Except for Ben. "You've met me before. Look into my eyes, honey. You'll understand."

Jake frowned slightly, ignoring the stupid knife. He'd seen worse. Sapphire? "Nadhani msichana ni Sapphire!" he replied back to Ben in the same tongue. "Mbaya sana yeye pengine ni kwenda kuniua kwanza." No way Sapphire's that mean. No way. She's nice. Kind. A little vicious. But an assassin!? And what's with Ben and Sapphire? I thought they weren't... Ice-like shivers seemed to crawl through his fur. Of course Sapphire would be all nice to Ben, they were probably dating. That probably meant Jake would most likely get killed. But then, looking at Ben, Jake wondered what Ben was feeling, hoped for no reason....
