This is a place for you to get the real details and thread links for things happening in the plot. I suggest you at least try to read them in your spare time, or at least clarify things that are fuzzy. If you're planning on being part of the plot, you need to stay up-to-date so you know what's going on.
THE SHADOW COSTUME AND UTILITIES
Opal uses the name Shadow for the masked version of herself, as she doesn't want to be detected as a threat quite yet, and only wants people to know that there is a female assassin trained extremely skillfully under the name Shadow lurking in their woods. These are some details on her costume.
Hair Color Extension Clips - Clipped into her hair, Opal uses these accessories to further disguise herself
Mask - A solid black, full-head mask made of a new material designed by a secret dealer of Opal's. The material is soft on the inside, extremely thing, and incredibly strong and stretchy. With holes for her mouth, ears, and eyes, it almost is invisible against her black hair. There are red outlines around her eyes in a cat-eye makeup affect, and she usually wears red lipstick with it.
Black Jumpsuit - With long sleeves to add to full coverage of her body, with all the other black she wears, the jumpsuit, light, durable, and smooth, adds to her Shadow effect, making her nearly invisible in the darkness.
Utility Belt - Around her waist Shadow wears a belt where she keeps a black bag (details below), several sets of knives held in black leather holsters, both throwing and hand-to-hand combat, and a piece of cloth made of the exact material as the bag (details below). It is made of black, thin, nearly invisible cloth, and is hardly noticed.
Boots - Opal loves her thigh-high boots, but she couldn't possibly run in heels, so she purchased a pair very similar to the ones she usually wears, but with a mostly-flat heel. This is where she keeps her main, 4-inch throwing knives tucked safely in a small, built-in, thin holster.
Hair - Shadow wears her straight, black hair down. It's long and usually tucked behind her shoulders, unless a few bits happen to get in front of her ears.
Bag - Ordered secretly, Opal managed to purchase a special bag made of the same material as her mask, making it easy to store and use. On the inside, it is lined with a scentless gas-emitting material that kicks up when in contact with the carbon monoxide in your breath, or the oils of your skin.
Knock-out Cloth - As though cut out of the bag (details above), this cloth is kept with Opal so that she can easily make someone go unconscious without needing to worry too much about struggling to get the bag over someone's head.
THREADS AND THREAD LINKS
The threads participated in by Opal. The links are followed by a short overview of what the thread is about
A Cold Heart :: Opal Strole B+P - Bio and plotting for Opal Strole. This is the best place to find information in general descriptions of this character
Fox-Hearted Darkness - Opal arrives at the Academy and meets Elisa Resnik, claims to be half fox, and begins forming her appearance of innocence.
Born To Work Together - Logan and Opal meet in the forest, Opal shares that she's human, and a bond of alliance is agreed on.
The Wealthy And The Ready - THIS IS WHERE YOU CAN FIND DETAILS OF THE BASE. After working on it for two days, Opal shows Logan the base. After mild planning and overviews, Logan springs an attack on Opal: A kiss. Stunned and returning the favor, Opal pecks him back, deepening their relationship, though it didn't occur to them then.
Victim - On their way to the base, Opal and Logan end up running into Jack King and fight him. With Opal showing some of what she is capable of, Jack is left mortally wounded, beginning the rumors of a masked woman working with Logan, and leaving a little "female" symbol written in pen on his hand, beginning the series of hints she would lay down to show her identity.
Homecoming Queen - Taken hostage by Opal, Rosemary is forced to tell the secrets that came to her anxious mind. Though not much information was gathered, Opal was left mostly satisfied. Towards the end, Rosemary probes Opal about love, and reminds the mastermind why she wanted to kill all half-bloods in the first place: To get vengeance for the murder of her father. Rosemary is left scarred for life.
Success As A Team - {Details Pending} After winning in their own ways, Opal and Logan meet back at the base to relax and enjoy the fear and chaos they created.
{LINK PENDING} Hostage Freed - Rosemary is found by Adam and Cecelia, now a shy, self-confined girl like she used to be when first coming to the academy, after suffering through as the first hostage victim of Opal. Left with her is a clue to Shadow's true identity: four lines set up almost like a hangman game: "__ __ __ __."
Taunting The Cat - Unluckily, Rosemary makes an unfortunate encounter with Logan at the lake. Though she ended up injured, Rosemary managed to trick Logan into saying the first two letters of Shadow's true identity: O and P.
Heart Of The Dark Pixie - Still moved a bit by the love that Rosemary showed for Adam when held hostage, Opal captures Adam and interrogates him for more information and attempts to drill into the prospect of love. {Hint Pending}
When Night Calls - Opal takes Damian Wright hostage to interrogate him about the academy, half-bloods, and secrets of students there. On questioning his choices to protect Cecelia due to love, Opal reacts fiercely, screaming at the top of her lungs and lashing out harshly at Damian. By the end of the thread, Opal leaves Damian struggling to stay alive.
As Dawn Rises - Damian is found lying on a patch of clovers by Cecelia Leerit, who alerts Claire. The two rush to get him back to the Academy before it's too late. Nearly forgotten in the chaos was a clue to Opal's identity left on Damian's left arm in the form of a note scribbled in sharpie that reads, 'Father = Killed by halfbloods. Claire narrowly escapes fainting from exhaustion, and Damian is left scarred.
Secret Reminders - The night after interrogating Damian, Opal runs into Rosemary once more, and though she's purposefully dressed nothing like Shadow, the girl can just tell who she is. Breaking down at her feet from the overwhelming sense of grief that had been rekindled by her captives, Rosemary seeks to give forgiveness and tries to show she'll give her another shot. Opal refuses, swearing she'll kill Rosemary and Adam if she tells anyone who she really is.
Igotnoideaforatitlesoyeah - Logan and Opal meet up again in the base. While teaching Logan how to use the bow and arrow, Opal, overcome by the past events and emotion, kisses Logan. Later on, Logan admits that he accidentally gave a way two letters on Opals name, and Opal is furious.
Skipping Stones - Though not a big detail of the plot, Opal runs into a young girl with a feisty attitude: Lusaki. They talk and hang around, forming a bond, and Opal experiences compassion.
Weapon-Wielding Allies - Still perturbed by the new information of what Logan had done, Opal meets Sapphire, another rage-driven bloodthirsty human who wants to destroy Animalia as it is known as much as she does. The two form a tight though raveled relationship, and Opal finally agrees to be Sapphire's ally.
Hangman - After cornering Logan at last, both Opal and Sapphire attack him. But, overcome by the realization that she loved him, and that's why she was hurt, Opal gives in, and offers forgiveness.
I just want a sunlit forest - Opal and Sapphire meet together by coincidence and attack their first partnering victim: Hiro Hamada. |Possibly incomplete and wont be finished..|
Lonely Days and Wild Ways - On a mission to capture and torture someone, Opal and Sapphire run into Lusaki. As Shadow is hesitating, overcome by uncertainty of whether to attack or give in to her compassion towards Lusaki, Sapphire admits to having attacked the little girl before. That enough to send Opal into a protective state, swearing that if Sapphire touched Lusaki again, she would "find being my enemy is far harder than being dead"
Cat and Mouse - Almost accidentally giving away her mask by sheer forgetfulness, Opal meets Zachary as she is performing on her violin in the forest. They review the details of love, and Opal gives up a touch more about her past |Incomplete|
Hunter && Wolf - Still shaken up by her meeting with Lusaki, Opal meets again with Elias. They small talk, mostly about Shadow |IMCOMPLETE|
{More Information Added As Plot Progresses|
Taunt Me And You're Dead - Mass Murdering - In hast to cement her danger, Opal murders at least 25 (inactive) students, and Sapphire is pleased that Opal is no longer soft. Alice finds her first, nearly overwhelmed but sensible to keep her trap shut. |INCOMPLETE|
