(@ashmarie I wanna see what happens when Dami learns what Kevin and Adam did....muhahahaha. He wouldn't take that "inner wolf" stuff.) Damian seriously needed to check his morals. Lately he felt like he knew more humans than half-bloods, and he was keeping their secrets for them too. Weren't these the same kind of people that killed half-bloods by the dozen? For what?
Because they were monsters. They were stronger than others so...yeah. Been down this road. Doesn't need to be explained. Got it. Damian sighed and sat next the the lake, looking out onto it as he tucked his knees into his chest. He wings were hidden and pressed into his back, a sign he was more nervous than usual.
He knew not all humans were bad. He did. Yet he still felt paranoid and guilty around them. What was up with that?
And why don't I feel like that around Cecelia? What exactly had she done that made Damian trust her so much?

A redhead walked through the forest happily, taking her time to get to the lake. It was a beautiful day, and she wanted to enjoy every minute of it. Cecelia loved to take walks in the forest. It was so pretty especially with the beautiful weather summer was bringing. She was hoping to go for a swim in the crystal clear lake. The girl hummed to herself a happy tune as she walked through the forest. The lake came into view and that made her bright, green eyes sparkle with delight. There it was! Just waiting for her to dive in. Cecelia had her swimming suit on underneath her dress. The dress wasn't too fancy. It was just a pinkish white sundress and a pair of white strappy open-toed heels. The thing Cecelia didn't know was that Damian was going to be there. She hadn't seen him since the her first day at the school. It would be nice to see him again. Well, she was right on time. Cecelia spotted a dark-haired boy sitting next to the lake, and he looked a lot like Damian. Wait a minute... It was Damian! Her smile grew bigger, and she walked a little faster. "Hey, Damian~" she called and waved at him as she walked over to him. "Boy, am I glad to see you!"

Damian perked up a bit, lowering his knees and turning around to face Cecilia. A small smile crossed his face. His notebook and led pencil tossed haphazardly to his side. He hadn't really come her to swim. He was only wearing his jeans and dark blue T-shirt. His wings weren't fully extended, though they weren't closed. Overall he just kind of looked like he was just sitting. Which he had been.
"Hey," he replied, giving a little wave. "Didn't know you were going to show up."

Cecelia smiled at Damian and gave him a tilt of her head. It was a regular thing. Just one of those habits she had whenever she was happy. She would give a little tilt of her head and a smile which was odd because dogs do that when they are begging. They'll tilt their head and whimper or something like that. It was cute on Cecelia, though. She always had this positive energy radiating off of her all the time. It looked like nothing could bring her down. A nice walk through the forest and a swim in the lake should be able to clear her mind. So many things were happening at once that it was quite overwhelming for her. Half blood students were getting into fights, and Cecelia didn't know what to do about it especially since Adam was involved in two incidents. He got punched by Kevin, and he scratched a little boy's eye out. She was lost in thought that she was startled when Damian's voice magically popped into her head. "Oh, sorry.. I'm glad to see you. So much is happening at the moment. I just thought I would come here to clear my mind. A nice walk on a beautiful day always cheers me up. And, why not have a friend of mine make today even better~ May I sit with you?"

Damian's smile faded a bit as he saw how Cecelia spaced out a bit. He seemed to be unintentionally observant, even when he wasn't trying due to his owl nature. Cecelia was not really one to space out. How exactly do you know that? he asked himself, wondering since when had he become an expert on Cecelia's habits. He shook it away quickly.
Cecelia wasn't visibly frowning, but Damian thought he saw her smile fade a bit, even if for a moment. She was too positive for that, something must be bothering her. Just let her handle it, it's not your business, he told himself, but couldn't keep his mouth closed.
"Something wrong?"

Ugh, Cecelia kept on spacing out in deep thought of what Animalia Academy was coming to. People were getting mad at each other and acting violent. Maybe that was how animals were sometimes. How would she know what was going on in their minds? She was a human after all. She just hoped that they wouldn't end up killing each other. The school was there for the half bloods to finally be separated from the humans. It was supposed to be a place where the half bloods could live peaceful lives. Maybe they were just trying to settle into the new school the hard way. But, it bothered her that Adam, her friend, was involved in two incidents. She was worried about him, and she was confused on what her emotion should be toward him since he scratched Jet's eye out. Cecelia snapped out of it again when Damian started speaking to her. She waved her hands in front of her in distress, shaking her head.
"No, no. R-Really! I'm fine.. Just a little lost in thought, that's all~" she said and forced herself to smile so Damian wouldn't worry about her. "So, what are you doing out here by yourself? Doesn't it seem kind of lonely? Of course, you do have the company of nature. That's good too, but I always thought it would be better with someone by your side to enjoy the beautiful scenery with you." Cecelia walked up to his side and sat down next to him on the grass. Her forced smile was starting to form into a real one. She didn't want to worry about all that stuff. She wanted to focus on leaving it up to Damian to distract her from those things, so she could be her happy self again.

Damian raised an eyebrow, rather stubborn about letting the subject go. The smile was forced at first, but ended up seeming pretty genuine. Rather than being forceful Damian decided he'd let it go for a minute and ease back into the topic. He shrugged a bit.
"I was just going to draw a bit. Clears my mind. It's kind of pretty here soo..." he tapped his notebook to show her that it was indeed there. "Felt like I would bore somebody else." He paused for a minute.
"And you? You sure something isn't wrong?" concern glimmered in his blue eyes.

The raising of Damian's eyebrow made Cecelia a little uncomfortable, because she knew that he was going to just drop the subject that easily. Thankfully, she was wrong about that. Damian let the subject go and that made the girl relax a little bit. Damian caught Cecelia's attention when he started to talk about why he was at the lake. She didn't know that he liked to draw. That was pretty amazing but sadly, Cecelia couldn't draw to save her life. She could only draw simple things like hearts, flowers, etc. It was pretty outside. That made her curious about what Damian was going to draw. Did he want to draw the lake or something? Cecelia rolled her eyes playfully and giggled to herself. "C'mon, Damian! I'm fine so stop asking me about it. So, what kind of things do you like to draw?" she said, hoping Damian would stop worrying about her. It always bothered her when someone was worried about her. She just wanted to see Damian smile or something besides giving her what looked like a pity look.

"Dunno. Stuff just kind of comes to me. I guess I like drawing night scenes more. Maybe that's just because I'm an owl, though," Damian admitted. "Look, I know that you are lying to me about everything being okay, but if you don't want to talk, that's okay to me. Just know that pretending isn't helping me feel like you are feeling better." He flashed her a small reassuring smile before going on as though nothing happened.
"It happens in class. Too much," he joked. He picked up his notebook and started flipping randomly through pages, till his eyes fell on one he had made earlier in class without thinking.
It was a snow owl flying away from a wave of fire. The flames were almost touching its feather tips. Damian had still wondered what had possessed him to draw it. His smile faded and he sighed, tossing the notebook away again.

Cecelia nodded with agreement that it made sense for Damian to want to draw night scenes. It went with the whole owl thing but that was kind of like stereotyping, right? The next thing Damian said bothered Cecelia. She didn't mean to lie to him about it. It just didn't seem important enough to talk about, but maybe it was to Damian since Cecelia wasn't being herself. It was crazy! Damian was being a good friend and worrying about Cecelia. She wanted to get close to him as friends, but she was pushing him away by saying that there was nothing wrong. She sighed and smiled a small smile, nodding. "You're right. I guess I'm just worried about Adam. The half blood students have been turning on each other.. I think. Adam has been involved in two of those incidents. He got punched by Kevin, and I heard that he scratched a little boy's eye out. I don't know if I should talk to him about it or not." Cecelia watched Damian flip through his notebook to stop on a page with a drawing of a snow owl flying away from a wave of fire. She couldn't help but take a glance at the drawing. She was leaning over a little bit too much so she pulled away and blushed with embarrassment. "O-Oh! I'm sorry.."

"They did what?!" he asked, giving her a look of disbelief. Of course, he wasn't particularly friends with either of the two that had caused the trouble, but even so he couldn't believe that they would do that. Damian decided he would have to talk about it with them later.
When he noticed that Cecelia had watched him look at the last sketch he shook his head. "N-no, it wasn't you," he insisted. "I honestly don't know why I drew that. I wasn't paying attention and..." He wrapped his arms around his knees again and pulled them closer. His wings pressed into his back again.
"It's...it's a drawing about....the night that my parents died."

No kidding. Somebody needed to talk to Adam about it. Cecelia felt like it should be her, but she wasn't sure if she was ready for that yet. Anyway, she only pulled away because she was afraid she was in Damian's personal space. She listened to her friend and noticed him pulling his knees close to his chest. It was a beautiful drawing, and it was also a bit disturbing. Without a doubt, Damian had a lot of talent. Cecelia placed her hand on Damian's shoulder and gave him a sympathetic look.
"Y-You didn't have to tell me what your drawing meant... I'm not going to say I understand.. because I don't. I just... I want to be your friend. I want you to know that I will always be here if you need someone to talk to." Cecelia hoped Damian would feel comfortable to come to her when he needs someone to talk to. That would really mean a lot to her. She wrapped her arms around her legs and looked at where she was. It was so beautiful, and Cecelia was glad she could enjoy it with Damian. I hope I'll be able to become better friends with Damian. That would be nice...

Damian gave a small smile. Somewhere in the back of his mind, he had already known that. Before Cecelia even said it. Just days ago he might have flinched at the touch of anyone he knew was human, yet he didn't with Cecelia. He felt like he could trust her.
The weirdest part was that he honestly had no idea why. For all he knew she could probably just turn around and give away everything. Expose them all. Yet all of her actions were so sincere. It was like she was an open book, practically.
Damian wished he was like that. Easier to read. Able to not hide anything and yet not feel exposed.
"I know you wouldn't understand how it feels. I dunno, for some reason I honestly don't care if you do or not. I feel like I can trust you," he admitted, with a small chuckle. "How weird is that?"

Cecelia forgot that Damian was distant from humans, and she kind of acted on her own without even thinking when she put her hand on his shoulder. Why did she even do that, anyway? Damian didn't do anything to show that he felt uncomfortable that the human girl was touching him. Thank goodness that was over with, and Cecelia pulled away to wrap her arms around her legs. Her green gaze shifted from the sky to the water, staring at her very own reflection. She lifted her head up because Damian got her attention with what he said. She looked at him, and her green eyes started to sparkle more than ever. The girl was so relieved to hear that coming from Damian. But, he said he felt like he could trust her. Oh, well. Who cares if he is unsure if he should trust her completely or not. He trusted her, right? That was good enough for her, even if he didn't trust her completely. "Yeah, you are weird, Damian~" she said in a playful tone. "In a good way, of course." Cecelia wanted to splash a little water on him, but she didn't want to get his notebook wet since he still had it out.

Damian stood up and carried his notebook to get it out of the way for now. At the moment he was content just to sit and talk. "So, Cecelia, what brought you out here in the first place? The weather? Or you just wanted to see me," a smirk crossed his face at the last part of the question, signaling he was joking. He pulled off his cardigan, deciding it was a bit too warm for it.

Cecelia looked up at Damian, who was standing up at the moment. Did she say something wrong? Oh, she hoped he wasn't planning on leaving. She liked talking to him, but if he wasn't having fun talking to her then she would understand. He didn't have to stay for her sake. In fact, Cecelia was getting sick and tired of people saying they were doing something for somebody's sake. That wasn't always the case. Her cheeks turned slightly pink, and she looked to the side with embarrassment. "W-What? I-I... N-No..." she stuttered and that made her blush even more. Cecelia decided to give up, and she let her hair cover up the expression on her face. Once she returned back to normal, she looked at Damian and smiled at him. "The weather. It's very pretty out here, and I thought I would go on a walk. I really like it out here because of the scenery and the fresh air. It's so peaceful here. I bet I could lay down here on the grass and just fall asleep if I wanted to." That didn't sound like a bad idea, but Cecelia would rather stay up and continue talking to Damian.

(I. FORGOT. ABOUT. THIS. THREAD. OMG. I AM SO SORRY. Yay, RP with non-injured Dami!)
"Of course you didn't," Damian responded, a playful glint in his blue eyes. "I guess the weather is pretty nice." He leaned back on his arms, legs laid out in front of them as he closed his eyes and simply enjoyed the moment. Suddenly he was regretting not bringing anything to swim in...then again, just being shirtless in front of any girl, particularly Cecelia, wasn't all that appealing.
"So what do you want to do?"

"I don't know.. Was there something you had in mind?" If only they could go to the beach in the human world, then Cecelia would want to go search for beautiful seashells on the shore. "Damian, you aren't planning on keeping my secret forever, are you? You know... so that I can stay here for more than one year..?" Cecelia looked at him before she leaned over on his shoulder. She gazed up at the sky and watched the clouds float by, guessing what kind of things the clouds were shaping into like a rabbit. Why did things have to be so difficult? They were living in one messed up world. "I just... I don't want to get attached to my friends, although, I think I've already failed to do so.. especially with you, Damian. I'm going to miss everyone when I leave after this year.."

"Meh...not really," Damian admitted. When Cecelia started talking again his gaze hadn't wavered from the sky, but as she started to lean on him he felt himself turning a deep shade of red. His cheeks were warm and he was thinking he probably looked really stupid at the moment. He would have gone back to rubbing the back of his neck if most of his weight, and Cecelia's, was planted on that arm.
For a moment Cecelia seemed to be changing the subject, so that Damian had a chance to let the blush fade from his face. But that was until he heard the last part. If he wasn't red before, he certainly was now.
"Well...ah...I was planning on keeping it as much of a secret as I could. I don't know how many half-bloods have larger grudges against humans than I do. Until people think you're cool, I wasn't gonna tell anyone. And whenever you think enough people like you, you can see if they will let you stay, even if you are human, I-I guess," Damian replied, trying to sound not as flustered as he was. He was pleased with how he hadn't stuttered too much, and gave Cecelia a reassuring grin.

"Oh..." Cecelia was a little disappointed to hear that Damian didn't have anything in mind for them to do. She wanted to go swimming at first until she started talking to Damian, which she had no idea that he was going to be at the lake. They could just keep talking. Oh, gosh... That wouldn't be a problem for Cecelia. Damian was sitting there with blush red cheeks, and Cecelia didn't take notice of it. She was lost in thought of leaving Animalia Academy at the end of the school year. She made some good friends at least she thought she did... Their actions were a bit bizarre and unnecessary, but she still loved them. Cecelia blinked and looked at Damian as if he was crazy. That's when she noticed him blushing. She ignored it and went back to the human secret thing. "But, aren't you worried that if I make it this year and continue another year at the academy.... Aren't you worried that they will catch me next year? I don't want to, but I think I should leave after this year to be safe... I-I'm not scared to die. Maybe we could figure out a way to stay in contact with each other, and we could meet again someday. Anyway, let's not worry about it now I guess. That will be a long time from now. I'm sure we will figure out something by then~"

"I guess so..." Damian tried his best not to sound too disappointed. He decided on something else to do with a bit of a smirk.
"I'm gonna regret this," he muttered, a smirk creeping onto his face as he stood up and kicked off his shoes, heading to the edge of the lake. He kept his wings in tight, not wanting to risk twisting them the wrong way.
He positioned himself accurately before taking the plunge, clothes and all.

Cecelia blinked curiously at Damian, wondering what he was going to regret. Then, Damian started to take his clothes off. "If you were going to regret it, then why are you doing it!?" she laughed and stood up. "Well, I might as well join you, too." She wanted to go swimming the whole time but she started talking to Damian. It was hard for her to believe that Damian was probably getting bored of talking to her. She could go on for quite a while, and she understood if he wanted to move around or something. That was the same with her. Cecelia could barely keep herself still. Damian is taking his clothes off to go for a swim sooooo... I'm sure he wouldn't mind seeing me in my swim suit. Her swim suit was a bikini, and Cecelia wasn't sure what Damian would think if he saw her like that. Cecelia took her shoes off and stood up, taking off her sundress to reveal the bikini she was wearing underneath. She walked over to the edge of the lake and sat down to put her legs in the water. "C-C-Cold!" The water was cold, but she didn't take her feet out of the water. It felt better when she kept her feet in there for a while. Pssh, chicken!
(I dare Dami to push her in<3)

(Challenge accepted!)
Damian sped through the water, wings kept tight and close to him to help him propel through the water. The icy sensation that was covering him was refreshing, reminding him slightly that Snow Owls were not as accustomed to the warm weather as others. While they could handle it, they had evolved for more cold regions.
Soon the teen came up for air, dark wet hair plastering itself to his face. He shook it out, the feeling of his wet shirt plastered to his frame uncomfortable at first, though he soon grew used to it. As soon as he had managed to get the hair out of his eyes and saw Cecelia, despite being slightly colder from the water, Damian could feel a deep red blush form on his face again. Why that happened so much around Cece he still couldn't quite figure out.
He was probably just in denial.
He tried his best to shake out the blush and a smirk spread across his face. He ducked under the water again, swimming quietly towards the girl, hoping to remain unseen. When he got as close as he could get, he practically jumped up, reaching out to grab Cecelia in an attempt to pull her in.

Cecelia sighed with relief and sat there with her feet in the ice cold water. I don't understand how the water could be so cold if it's summer time. Oh, well. It still feels nice... The sun was beating down on the crystal clear lake, and the water was still cold for some reason. It had to be the fact that Cecelia hadn't gone swimming in like FOREVER. Her body grew used to the warm showers she took every day, and she never had a reason to get in water during the winter. That would be insane! The redhead sat back and smiled back at the sun as if she was thanking the sun for the beautiful day. She looked back at the lake to see what Damian was doing in the water, and she blinked in confusion when she realized that Damian was missing. "D-Damian! Damian!"
Cecelia was about to jump to her feet until some guy jumped out of the water and grabbed her arm, pulling her into the water. She let out a little squeak and held her breath when she was pulled into the water. Who the heck was that guy? Was he responsible for Damian missing? Cecelia rose up to the surface and realized that the boy that pulled her in was Damian. "Y-You meany! I thought you drowned. You had me scared to death! I-I don't know what I would do if... if you..." Tears began to well up in Cecelia's green eyes when she thought of Damian going underwater and never coming back up. It sent a cold shiver up her spine, and she tried to shake away the thought. "At least I know you're alive, and that you are well enough to play jokes on me like that." She smiled at Damian and laughed at what she said about Damian feeling good enough to play jokes on her like that. Cecelia giggled and splashed water at Damian playfully. "And, what if I couldn't swim, huh? Did you ever think of that? Of course you didn't because you're just a big jerk~" That was pretty harsh, but she meant it in a just kidding kind of way. You could tell that she was playing around. She was smiling and giggling. Cecelia was having a great time.

As the teen surfaced again a large playful grin had spread across his face. Once he saw the look on Cecelia however, it faded suddenly, eyes widening in a look of guilt, and more horror. He hadn't meant to scare Cecelia like that at all. His keen eyes could tell apart her tears from the water on her face, and if he hadn't been swimming currently, he might have slapped his hand over his mouth.
"Cecelia-" he began. "I-I never meant to scare you. I-I was just trying to-" He cut himself off as the girl tried to move on to a different subject, a concerned expression not leaving his face as she spoke. He swam back closer to Cecelia, looking into her eyes with a warm gaze. "I wasn't about to drown. I was only underwater for a minute. If you couldn't swim I would get you out of there, but you had a swimsuit, so I figured you were intending to swim anyway." He paused for another moment, a detail of what Cecelia had said that had slipped his mind returning. Confusion flickered in his eyes for a moment.
"You were really that worried about me?"

Oh, he didn't scare her when he grabbed her and pulled her into the water. It was amazing for those few seconds she thought the guy was someone else, she thought of only one thing and that was Damian. Cecelia was scared that Damian drowned, and it scared her to think that she might've lost him. Wow... Now that I think about it, my classmates could think that I killed Damian if he did drowned like I thought he did. They would probably never trust a human again... She began to swim back a little as Damian swam closer to her. What the heck was he doing? The deep red blush that had disappeared for a while finally came back to Cecelia's cheeks. "N-Not in that way! Um... well, of course I was THAT worried about you. You're my best friend, and I can't even think of what I would do if you... you know. W-Was it wrong for me to worry about you like that?"

"N-nothing was wrong with it," Damian stuttered slightly, noticing another blush forming on Cecelia's face. It seemed contagious. He turned to the side, looking straight forward, though still casting occasional side glances at Cecelia once in a while. His cheeks were red, and he was using one hand to rub the back of his neck nervously, while making sure to stay floating upright in the water.
"I-I didn't know that you thought of me as such a close friend, that's all," Damian admitted. "It kind of surprised me."
Damian founding himself looking back at Cecelia, trying to avoid looking any lower than her head. He wasn't the type of boy to appreciate bikinis as much as many others. He didn't think that girls should have to show off like that.
The sun was setting. Damian had been sure they hadn't been outside too long, but then again, the conversation could have gone on longer than he thought. Cecelia did look pretty in the light, the teen had to admit. Without thinking, he found himself drifting closer to the girl, eventually being right in front of her and kissing her slightly on the forehead. Upon backing away a bit, his eyes widened when he realized what he had done. His cheeks became bright red.
"I did not just-" he slapped a hand on his face, loosing his balance and falling under the water. Water poured into his mouth and nose, and the teen struggled to the surface again, coughing and sputtering. He couldn't see all that well and was forced to try and go by memory to get to the shore and grab onto something.
(Don't make that last sentence turn into something pervy please xD Just lead him to the shore or something)
