I padded through the forest, slightly dragging my paws and tail. Where did everyone go? My head shot up and my brown eyes grew wide. Did all of them die? I heard about the killings. Now, it felt calm and almost as if everything could go back to the way it was.
I missed my friends: Grant Bixby, Opal Strole, Nythraina Zohamaru, Brenda Anderson, and Angelica Mason. I knew for sure that one of them was dead. Angelica.. We were like brother and sister when I met her. I wish I got the chance to get to know her even more. She was really cool and fun to play with.
I fluffed up my fur as a cold breeze howled by. I hung my head and sighed, stopping and looking up at the sky. Where was my pack.. I sat down and raised my snout to the sky, singing my song in a howl.

The movie was drowning time. Opal sat on the black leather couch, a bag of popcorn in hand. She was watching Taken, a movie about kidnapping, and how there was this super intelligent guy that would stop at nothing to save his daughter. It was kind of nice, she thought, to see on a screen, rather than just her imagination, what she could have been like had she taken a different path. It was constantly crossing her mind, that thought; How it could have been. A sudden howl nearly made Opal jump out of her skin. What was funny was that since her surrender, Opal had become more jumpy than when there were a whole bunch of students that despised her guts. She supposed it was the fact that now everyone knew who she was, and the chances of them stumbling upon her cage were even greater, considering the fact that her location wasn't so hidden. Probably just some student off in the distance, she figured and returned to her movie.

I rose up onto all four paws and continued to travel forward. That was all I could do. Continue forward. My ears perked up when I stepped across something that felt a bit off. It wasn't like the regular forest flooring. I retraced back my steps and sniffed above the ground. What was it? My fur bristled, and I growled at the unknown trap that was set in the forest. I barked at it like a mindless dog and growled to myself, pawing at it. It made me jump, and I growled at it, baring my canines at it.

|Lol I mean like, Imagine a jail cell, but inside it is a grass floor, and the trapdoor is within it. LOL Here's a beautiful drawing| Whatever it was, the animal was now right outside her prison home. The creature sounded upset, furious even, which made Opal more nervous. However, she knew that she may as well go out an face whoever it was; she didn't want to be a coward, and besides: there wasn't much anyone could do to her when she was separated by bars of iron. Opal cautiously wriggled out from under her blanket and set the popcorn down on the coffee table. Her hands shaking, she approached the hatch that led up into the outdoor section of her prison and took a deep breath. "I'm coming out!" Opal called carefully. After waiting a few seconds, she slowly opened the hatch and peeked out. Her eyes landed on the wolf immediately. Terrified, but knowing that it could do nothing from where it was, she clambered out in her blue jeans and red sweater and her slippers, her hands up in the universal sign of peace. "You don't have to shift," Opal assured the animal, meeting it's gaze. To show the half-blood had dominance, she lowered herself to the ground, slowly, and then lowered her eyes. "It's alright. My name is Opal."

I snarled as the hatch opened and someone was coming out. Could it be a hunter that set up camp in the forest? Impossible! It must have been the assassin from before. My brown eyes grew wide when I saw Opal standing there. She was alive! Wait.. No... She wasn't the killer.. She couldn't be. I trusted her. I watched as she lowered herself to show me dominance. I didn't find it necessary for her to do. We were friends. Yeah.. Opal could not be the killer. I shifted into my human form with a big smile on my face. "Opal! It's me, Elias." I said and looked at the jail cell. "Wow.. this is quite the, um, home you have. They do have dorms, you know."

Elias's voice seemed at a loss of fear to Opal's ears. Unease crept through her veins like poison, and she stood slowly, shaking off the dirt, eyeing his smile carefully. "Oh," She said, then shaking her head, "You don't know, do you?" Opal took a deep breath, holding the bars of the prison with both hands at the right of Elias. She hadn't seen Elias in a very, very long time, so she assumed he had heard the rumors about her, since her real name was in fact floating about the school. Oh well. "I... I.. How do I say this?... Elias, I'm.. I'm Shadow."

I worried when she said that. What didn't I know? Was it true? I shook my head, refusing to hear of it. It struck me as she revealed her identity. "I don't.. understand. Why did you kill them? They did nothing to you! They were innocent!" I snapped at her and kicked the iron bars. It hurt but I bared the pain. "You better not have touched my brother or Nythraina!"
