I know it isn't necessary for me to withhold my identity, but I don't want to have to worry about hard feelings between myself and those I indirectly confront.
This site is dying. We all know it. And I feel terrible watching it burn in the ugly pit of failure in the vast void of inactivity.
I did not intend for that to be so deep.
Whoa
So that said, I want to ask for you're guys' suggestions, feedback, etc. I very much suggest you be anonymous just in case.
Feel free to speak out about your opinions, suggestions, etc - I just have one rule:
No offensive or direct confrontations.
Yes, I am a member of this site, and one that feels I am as active as I can be. Don't worry, I'm not some random member pointed at starting an internal site war....
I'll start?
I think one of the most influential reasons for this site's inactivity is neglectfulness. I know for a fact that there are people that will see there is a new post in a thread they are in, read it, then think "oh, yeah, I'll respond later," but then never do. And that's the reason I used to be like "Hey, uh, were you gonna respond to this thread?" What disappoints me is saying that causes an uproar. I understand that constantly bugging people about responding is over the limit, but what I don't think people realize is that when they are inactive, it causes everyone to be that much less active. Why? Because how can you roleplay if you aren't getting responses from people? Roleplay goes two ways - maybe more - depending on the number of participants. I've been in instances where I'll make a post in a public rp thread in response to another person's post that is crucial to keep my muse high, and then that person completely drops out of the thread, or even out of the site - completely inactive. I can't necessarily just keep roleplaying because I like to keep my characters as realistic as possible. It's so frustrating. I can't continue participation if threads aren't getting completed in the first place!!
We can switch topics once each thing is resolved. K? Great.
Please post!
