Double Trouble, Part 2
By Kat
Logan awoke to find himself tied to a post.
“Get me out of this, Opal! What kind of sick joke is this?”
He looked around at his surroundings and quickly realized this was the storage room in the base Opal built. He then realized that no matter how many times he screamed or cried out, he would never get anywhere- the base was not only underground, but sound-proof as well.
“It’s called my kind of joke, Logan. Get used to it.” Opal walked into the storage room and shut the door behind her. “Now listen up, honey. I can’t keep you alive anymore. Really, I can’t even trust you, especially since you know my name. We’re going to have a contest to see how far you can go before death breaks your door, with the help of my good friend Sapphire.”
The girl he assumed to be Sapphire casually walked into the storage room and shut the door behind her, just as Opal had. Logan blinked his eyes, and when they were open again he saw Sapphire out of the corner of his eye. But when he turned his head to see her and blinked again, she was gone. Just like that.
“No! I don’t want to play this contest!” He yelled, struggling to get himself out of the ropes. But he couldn’t think of any way possible. If he morphed into his tiger form, he’d still be tied to the post. The ropes were tight, and as he struggled the overprotective barriers seemed to be digging more and more into his chest.
“Here we go, Logan.” He had blinked again, and he felt Sapphire’s presence behind him. That was when he knew he had mere minutes to live.
“So, let’s see how far we can go. Careful sweetheart, don’t thrash your neck, or else the katana will just go straight to the bone!” She giggled mercilessly, like a crazed scientist in a black-and-white horror movie.
She let the katana make small contact with Logan’s neck, just enough to make mere contact.
Her lover was going to die, and there was nothing she could do. After all, she had agreed on the plan with Sapphire. And she had let her kill Logan. She had decided that killing her lover herself would be too heartbreaking, and she would eventually back out of it. She really didn’t trust him, now that he knew her name. And his being-a-half-blood didn’t really help the situation.
But more pain would occur if he died quicker, or at least that was what he thought.
“Stop!” She screamed, startling Sapphire a little, but not enough for her to move her katana. She ran at Sapphire and attempted to shove her.
The events that occurred next would be what scarred her forever.
But what startled her most was when Opal shoved her over. But a mere millisecond before Opal got to her, she put her hand on the opposite side of her katana blade. So if she was knocked over, her tight grip on her katana handle and her sort-of-tight force on her not-sharp katana blade side would decapitate Logan almost instantly.
The events that occurred next would bring her happiness for the rest of her life.
A strong force pulled the katana blade back into his neck and he choked. He could breathe through his neck, and it hurt. Bad.
Then, he blinked, and when he opened his eyes again he saw a bright crème colored light. He wanted to laugh and smile, but the only thing he felt was the floating feeling, as if he was up in the sky.
Was this it? Was this what the afterlife was like? Was really off the planet for good?
He smiled and soared towards the light, still feeling nothing at all.
But, he was dead.
He was really dead.

“Here we go, Logan.” He had blinked again, and he felt Sapphire’s presence behind him. That was when he knew he had mere minutes to live.

Sapphire knelt behind the panicking Logan Marshall, her katana at his neck, just a couple centimeters from making contact with the skin. When the two feminine assassins were discussing the plan, originally Opal wanted to be the one to kill Logan. But Sapphire, after days of trying, finally convinced Opal to let her do it.“So, let’s see how far we can go. Careful sweetheart, don’t thrash your neck, or else the katana will just go straight to the bone!” She giggled mercilessly, like a crazed scientist in a black-and-white horror movie.
She let the katana make small contact with Logan’s neck, just enough to make mere contact.

Opal watched Sapphire slowly kill Logan, trying to the tears welled up in her eyes.

The nicking at his neck was really hurting Logan. Well, it was really annoying him anyway. If he was going to die, shouldn’t he just let it happen at once, rather than die slowly? But more pain would occur if he died quicker, or at least that was what he thought.
* * * * *
Sapphire dug her katana a centimeter into his skin. “Time for the real pain to begin.” She grinned as she watched the tiger half-blood squirm. Slowly, she dug the katana blade half a centimeter into Logan’s neck.* * * * *
He was tempted to scream, but he didn’t. It was very painful, and he wanted to thrash just once and let his life be over. But in his head, he said a prayer, and hoped for the best, but he expected the worst.* * * * *
Opal squatted in front of Logan and searched his eyes. It was almost as if she could read her lover’s thoughts- he was definitely in pain, and she thought she saw tears in his eyes, but she wasn’t really sure. Blood was oozing from his neck, and she knew if Sapphire didn’t remove her katana from his neck now, he would be dead in less than a minute’s time.“Stop!” She screamed, startling Sapphire a little, but not enough for her to move her katana. She ran at Sapphire and attempted to shove her.
The events that occurred next would be what scarred her forever.

Sapphire was startled at Opal’s sudden cry, and she shouted “No!” in response. She was not going to stop now, especially since she was just minutes from killing the one who was changing Opal’s life before Sapphire’s eyes.

The events that occurred went in such a rush for Logan, he didn’t even know what had happened. All he felt was blood and pain- for about ten seconds. Then he felt nothing at all.A strong force pulled the katana blade back into his neck and he choked. He could breathe through his neck, and it hurt. Bad.
Then, he blinked, and when he opened his eyes again he saw a bright crème colored light. He wanted to laugh and smile, but the only thing he felt was the floating feeling, as if he was up in the sky.

Opal heard a choke and got off her ally to see Logan... Dead. He was really dead, and she knew because the faces on the victims of the mass murder looked almost like Logan’s face. Blood leaked from his neck, gushing, almost like a steady stream. His eyes were rolled back into his head, just white spaces. Just a few seconds after she had turned to look at him, his head tilted to the side and tore off his body, rolling across the floor for a couple seconds before resting on its side. There wasn’t much skin to keep his head from doing that anyways. But, he was dead.
He was really dead.
