Cheerful humming came from the red-haired girl that was approaching the hospital. Her fiery red hair, in which several snowflakes were sticking to, flowed down her back almost reaching her waist. She sure was bundled up for the winter weather. She wore a big, dark pink scarf around her neck, a pink turtleneck, a white heavy coat, black jeans, and black boots. Her big, green eyes sparkled brightly... but not as bright as before.
Oh, she was a poor innocent soul and yet she didn't want to trouble anyone with her personal problems. It was hard to keep hidden but a smile always worked. It always seemed to please everyone. They were scared of her when she wasn't smiling. That was just Cece. Cecelia came to a stop and stared at the hospital for a moment. It was just a moment and she continued to stare at it. Her humming slowed down and it grew lighter and lighter.
Suddenly, it was gone and her smile was starting to fade. She shook her head and tried to ignore any ill thoughts that could bring her down. Cecelia walked into the hospital and scanned the room for her friend and principal, Claire Blakely |

|HAHAHA Opal made Claire seem like a coldblooded killer  | Despite the numerous torture victims, and lets not forget the twenty-five killed, things seemed, in Claire's woried opinion, rather calm. It was like she was swimming through submission. She didn't really know how else to hand Shadows. Not while whenever anyone tried to do anything they were killed or brutally tortured. I can't let anyone else get tortured. So if she wants to control the academy... I suppose... I'll do whatever I can to kill her before she kills our existence. This kind of anger and confusion rolled through Claire's head as she sat, positioned expectantly, at the front desk. With so many injuries recently, she didn't have much to worry about. The rooms were prepared, and the patients cared for. Except for Damian. The word was that he had left after feeling healed. She had decided against going after him for the simple reason that she had only been keeping him at the hospital for fear he would do something stupid. Truth was, he was healed as much as hospitalization could give. Time could only tell if he would be alright. A familiar red head bobbed in Claire's peripheral vision, and she turned her gaze quickly. "Cece!" She exclaimed, rounding the desk to hug her, arms out. "I've been worried about you. I haven't seen you since..." Since Dami. |

Cecelia was a bit startled and blinked curiously, looking around to see where that voice was coming from. It sounded a lot like Claire. Her eyes finally fell upon the front desk and it was her. DUH! Of course, Claire would be there. Well, she could've been with a patient I guess... It must be hard for her to manage the front desk and her patients. Especially with so many coming in. Her body shuttered at the thought of having practically everyone's life in her hands. It surprised Cece that Claire was handling it all so well... more than when Kevin had passed away.
Guilt still struck Cecelia in the heart for what she had done to him. She felt so... untrustworthy. She did not deserve Dami's love, but he was willing to be hers. It was almost too good to be true. Wait, could it be? Ugh, Opal is getting to me bad.. I shouldn't jump to conclusions. Cecelia smiled bigger and waved at Claire, walking up to her and giving her a hug. Her mouth opened before she gave Claire a hug. There was a moment of hesitation and she was sure Claire could tell in her voice.
I haven't seen her in forever. It is all too weird. It was a quick hug and Cece backed away to look at Claire. Her eyes searched Claire's face for any signs of exhaustion. "I'm fine but... how are you? I doubt you have been getting enough sleep with all of your patients that you need to take care of. Have you?"

Claire smiled and took a step back, brushing black hair out of her eyes. "No," She admitted, shrugging, rolling her eyes. "But I put it on myself. And I'm not letting it slip past. Besides, it's been... better." She shrugged again, sighed, looked around. Finally, her eyes returned to Cecelia, and her smile started to fade. "Are you alright? You look... Almost..." Claire shook her head at herself, laughed at her stupidity. She waved the thought away. "No, don't listen to me. I'm just sleep deprived. Anyway, how are you?"

Her eyes softened and her muscles relaxed. Thank goodness, she is being honest with me. That reassured her that she could probably convince Claire into taking some time off when she was least needed by her patients. That would be the best time. Cecelia was willing to stay at the hospital and help out. She was going to be very strict on Claire about getting sleep. It was for the patients and for Claire's own health. "Are you alright? You look... Almost..."
Is she starting to notice something different about me? I hope not. I don't want to worry her. "No, don't listen to me. I'm just sleep deprived. Anyway, how are you?" Phew! That was close. "Yeah, I'm sure you're just tired. And, me? I'm okay. So, is Rosemary and Adam staying here? I know Rosemary was mostly damaged mentally, but how are the both of them?"

Claire shook her head, rolled her neck from the tenderness that came with sitting in the same position for hours on end. "They were discharged some time ago. Their wounds weren't as bad as.. as Dami or Feli's." She smiled in hopes of offering sympathy. She didn't want to lie, but she figured, Well, he's probably safe with Cecelia. But she couldn't be more wrong. He was safe, but in Shadow's grasp. "Damian's made a great recovery. Just make sure he doesn't put too much on himself. He needs to be on crutches for a few weeks, and his wing in a splint. Even in sleep."

Cecelia wanted to take the chance to check up on her friends. Well, Claire seemed to be doing better. Who's Feli? she wondered and shrugged it off. Still... Feli must have gotten injured bad... like Dami. Her eyes grew big in shock. Dami had made a quick recovery. "Just make sure he doesn't put too much on himself. He needs to be on crutches for a few weeks, and his wing in a splint. Even in sleep." Cecelia jumped forward and grabbed Claire by the shoulders. "D-Dami didn't tell me he got out of the hospital! I don't know where he is." Her grip on Claire's shoulders loosened up a bit but was still firm. "W-What if... What if Shadow has him!?"

Claire's eyes widened in shock and her long furry tail lashed in annoyance to herself. I should have known! He wouldn't just up and leave! she thought, cursing under her breath. "Don't worry, Cece," Claire assured her friend, taking her hands and holding them in her own. "I'm sure he's just embarrassed and worried that I'll bring him back when I find him, if necessary." But her eyes kindled doubt, and Claire licked her lips, a kind of rage pinching her pupil. "And if Shadow does have him? I'll loss my innocence."

Cece frowned and looked into Claire's eyes. Her eyes were filled with so much worry. Shadow swore she wouldn't hurt him. Oh, I hope he is at home or just taking a walk. Ugh, how could she not worry! Dami didn't like her worrying about him and Claire didn't want her worrying about him. Cece cared about him deeply so of course she would worry! Maybe Claire didn't want her to worry as much. "M-Maybe I should go find him."

"Maybe," Claire agreed, her ears resisting laying back in hostility. I'll kill Shadow. I thought I could remain innocent - besides my mother - but I have no choice. "But be careful, okay? Don't look too hard. I can do it. I can cover more ground." Claire took another step back, dropping Cecelia's hands, drawing a breath. "Lets change the subject, okay? We don't need to worry too much. I'm sure he's fine."

Her feet shuffled nervously and her legs felt like giving in on her. Cecelia didn't know what to do with herself at the moment. It made her nervous not being able to go after him right at that instant. Maybe he is at his dorm... He wouldn't run off like that, would he? No, he knows that would worry me. "You already have enough to do here." "Lets change the subject, okay?" "O-Okay... um..." Cecelia started to think of something to talk about with Claire. "You know, it's been so long. I'm sorry that I don't know what to talk about, really."

Claire shrugged to agree. She licked her lips, not knowing what to say either. "Met anyone knew recently?" The principal asked weakly, crunching her brow. I have no idea what to say. |Sorry. not much to say for me either | |

Met anyone new!? Oi... Thank goodness Dami wasn't around to hear that. He could've gotten the wrong idea. "Oh, um... let's see..." Had she met anyone new? Cecelia tried to think of the last person she met. That might have been Nythraina. They hadn't seen each other since the Halloween party. Nythraina was such a good girl. She hoped that she was alright. "N-Not really.. So, how are things here? Have you been getting any new patients lately? I think things have calmed down a bit with Shadow, don't you think? I don't know if that should be taken as a good thing or a bad thing."

"N-Not really.." "Ah, that's a shame," Claire responded swiftly. She leaned against the desk behind her, smiling until the subject returned to the hospital and Shadow. The half-blood didn't even bother responding to the part about calming down. It's more submission than calming she reasoned, shrugging. "We've had a few come in, get stitched up, otherwise not really."

"Ah, that's a shame." It wasn't a big deal, really. Cece didn't mind, although, she wished she could connect with her friends some more. It was kind of hard especially if most of her friends were targeted by Shadow and tortured. They all had their own problems at the moment. She thought it would just lighten the mood but how could that be with everything going on? Like Claire said, there weren't many new patients. That was good, right? Cece had her a personal meeting with Shadow. Boy, did Opal make her think about the situation. "Hm... S-So, are you seeing anyone?"

Confused, exasperated, Claire blinked hastily and laughed. "Wh-what? Yeah! Shawn, remember?" But am I? I haven't seen him in weeks. I don't even know if he's alive. She shoved the frightening thoughts away, shrugging. "I guess. I don't know. I might have to break up with him.... Everything is so complicated, and I'm dating a student! It's... never mind. I shouldn't put this on you." Nervous, embarrassed, Claire gave a little laugh, and drew another breath to relax herself.
