|Most creative title ever| @anakakia
The grasslands were about as close to the prairies and Savannahs back in Africa as Ben could get. He crouched, lion form, stealthily moving through the grass. The lionesses had been the hunters, but he had picked up a few skills here and there. It was just a matter of finding something to catch. What in the Sunset's Name is that!? Ben wondered, staring wide-eyed at a squirrel picking it's way through the grass seeds on the ground. Ben shook his large head, glided forward at a more tolerable pace, then crouched in anticipation. BAM! Across the ground, Ben ran, large claws swiping just past the animal's fluffy tail. The half-bloods stopped, grunted, then flopped over and rolled in the grass nonchalantly.

Misha was walking through the grassland area of Animalia Academy. She wanted to explore everything she could. Pausing for a moment, she wiped grass from the bottom of her black slacks. If she had known she was going to end up walking through a dirty grassland, she wouldn't have worn as nice of an outfit. She continued walking, picking stray grass from her clothing. As she kept strolling in the warm sun, she barely even noticed the halfblood lying on th ground until she almost tripped on him. "I'm so sorry!" She said to the boy on the ground, stumbling backwards. "I didn't see you there."

The sun felt good. It was close enough, though not as beating and warming. Ben nearly fell asleep with the sheer joy he felt at feeling, well, free, but enclosed in warmth. His eyes flashed open at a sudden voice, and his head rose slightly to meet the girl's gaze, kindly. Ben purred in a lion's way, loud and low, then rolled over, shook himself, flicked his long tail, and shifted back into a dark-skinned eighteen year-old. "It's no big deal," he assured her, standing and offering a warm hand. "I'm Ben."

"It's no big deal. I'm Ben."Misha smiled. "It's nice to meet you, Ben," she said, shaking his hand. "I'm Misha." She looked around the otherwise empty grassland, shoving her hands into her pockets. "So, what brings you to the grassland?" She asked, focusing her bright green eyes on Ben. |I'm sorry. My muse is at a critically low level right now |

"Closest thing I can get to home, as of yet," Ben responded dully, shrugging. "You? I'm sure you're not here to get sun burnt and chase mice, huh?" He smiled wide, rubbed the back of his neck.

"Closest thing I can get to home, as of yet," Misha nodded. "That makes sense." "You? I'm sure you're not here to get sun burnt and chase mice, huh?" She laughed. "No, I guess not. I'm just... exploring." She looked up to the bright sun. It was a bit hot in the sun, with her long slacks, white shirt, and tie. She unfolded her wings to make a bit of shade. "So. Are you new to the Academy? I haven't seen you around, but I haven't been here long myself."

Ben nodded, flicked his tail and ears to rid a fly, sat down in the grass despite himself. "As of yesterday," he replied simply, squinting up at the sky. Not a single cloud. A perfect day for these guys here. Another day in Africa.

"As of yesterday." Misha nodded again. "I just got here a few days ago." She pulled some more grass off of the bottom of her dark slack before continuing to talk to the lion halfblood. "So, how'd you find out about Animalia Academy?" she asked, raising a hand to shield her eyes from the bright sun.

"My twin and I found a few tickets on the ground, and bought it from the dudes that didn't want them anyway," Ben responded, picking individual seeds off a stalk of grass. "The only way you'll recognize him is, well, his a bit grumpy." He smiled broadly. "You? How'd you get here?"

"Oh, you have a twin?" Misha asked, interested. "What's it like? I don't have any siblings." "You? How'd you get here?" "Oh, I bought a ticket from some mysterious person when I was venturing into the town near the cave where I lived for once. It was strange." She smiled. It had been a very odd situation when she had gotten her ticket. |I've had school and snow and preparing for an athletic competition so I've been inactive for like three days. Sorry 'bout that|

|Don't worry about it. We've had some more inactive players in our past | Ben nodded, shrugging to the question. "I suppose we have some similarity there," he noted, laughing slightly, his humor overpowering. "Well, I'm not one for mysterious people, nor mysteries in general, but this one about Shadow and Marie? That's huge. I'm trying to piece it together. No success so far."

Misha looked to Ben with a look of confusion on her face. "Shadow? Marie?" she asked. She hadn't heard of these apparently 'mysterious' people. "Sorry, I just haven't learned that much about this school yet," she sadi as an afterthought, trying not to appear naive, ignorant, or oblivious.

"Oh, eh.." Ben rubbed the back of his neck, embarrassed. His brown eyes searched Misha for any signs that she might be, or know, about the assassins. "I thought you knew... Well, anyway... There's two assassins running around. Apparently they want to rule the place or something. I don't know. Shadow's supposed to be the most dangerous and the head honcho. Marie is her little sword-swinging ally and follower."
