Hey everyone!
So I'm writing a new series, and I wanted to share a preview of the first book with you.
The series is about a girl named Katie Hill who is basically an almost-average middle schooler; facing cute guys and popular bullies, sibling drama and summer drama.
I am open to any suggestions and/or comments.
Hope you enjoy!
*WARNING* - There is a part in the preview talking about Katie Hill's mother being pregnant. I personally don't think it's much of a deal, it just says she's pregnant and expecting a girl, but I didn't want to accidentally get in trouble
Katie Hill the Big Sister

Today is my thirteenth birthday, and my parents pick today to give me the worst news on the planet! But I think I need to explain a lot before I get straight to that topic.
My name is Katie Hill, and I’m a seventh-grader at Greenwood Junior High. I live with my mom, my dad, my nerdy eighth-grade brother Jack, my football-obsessed ninth-grade brother Aaron, and my family’s border collie named Buddy. I’m normal height, with hip-length curly brown hair, blue eyes, tan skin, and freckles.
Anyways, yeah, today is my thirteenth birthday. My family and I went out to see a movie I’d wanted to see, and after that we went out to eat at Burger King. I was having the best time of my life. Even my lazy brothers were having fun, and they weren’t on electronics or playing football.
We got home, and I collapsed on the couch in the living room. That’s when my mom came and sat down next to me and told me the “worst news on the planet”, which is that she’s pregnant and expecting a girl.
Great. Ten out of ten. Best birthday present ever. Not.
Come on, Mom! Couldn’t you at least surprise me? No wait, that would be worse. Still, why did you have to give me that news on my birthday? How ‘bout the day after?
At least they said I could pick the name. I pick the name Muffins.
Just kidding! Muffins are my favorite food, but why would I name my little sister “Muffins Hill”?
On second thought, that might not be a bad idea.
