A small cream colored ferret poked it's head up from the undergrowth, nose twitching as it looked around, checking to make sure it wasn't lost. She was fairly certain she was going the right way, however, since she could see the campus of what she was told was Animalia Academy in the distance. The ferret crept forward cautiously, though quickly.
The half-blood never liked making a big entrance. And being late for the bus meant going there alone, therefore most people would see her and approach her. But if she snuck in through the back, problem avoided. Caitlin sniffed around again a few times, ears pricking up again as she heard somebody approaching.

Sydnie had gone outside through the back hoping to avoid anybody who was at school. Ever since she had arrived she hadn't had a lot of alone time. So here she was.

The ferret darted back into the bushes quickly, just an animal habit that seemed to be pretty useful in a situation like this. She wanted to make sure that this was another half-blood before revealing herself. She knew about what some humans did to other half-blood families. The reason hers was safe was because they were all small rodents. They didn't have any animal features and had always been careful.
Caitlin spotted the cat ears and tail on the girl, however. They were twitching and moving in a way too realistic to be fake. However the ferret remain still, not wishing to disturb her. She just hoped she remembered that cats didn't eat ferrets correctly. If she was wrong about that, this might get nasty.

Sydnie's ears twitched hearing a movement in the bushes. She shifted into a cat before smelling the air. She smelled a rodent, ferret maybe...and something else. Just the slightest hint of a human. At once Sydnie knew it was a halfblood. "It's ok. I'm not going to hurt you."She said into the bushes.

So she was a half-blood. Good to know. The ferret poked her small head out of the bushes, acting as a normal ferret. Since they were usually kept as pets, the girl might pass her off as a ferret pet, as opposed to a half-blood. If she smelled like a human, it would also make sense for her to have been a pet. Caitlin cocked her head to the side, slinking closer to the cat half-blood and sniffing cautiously.

Sydnie was still confused if this ferret was a halfblood or not. But as the ferret slinked closer Sydnie realized that it was a halfblood. A real ferret would have been more bold.(I just searched about ferrets and cats soo)

(I didn't see that. And since when has Sydnie been a ferret expert? Just asking.)
With that, Caitlin shifted, deciding this wasn't working. She shifted into her human appearance of a tall girl with long blonde hair and bright green eyes. She was wearing a green hoodie, dark jeans and green sneakers. A backpack hung by one strap over her shoulder, colored a brown hue. She pulled down her hood and gave a small smile.
"So, is this Animalia Academy?"

(I searched "are ferrets scared of cats?" And it said they were kind of similar so they were pretty open. And let's jut pretend she had met a ferret before I don't know.) Sydnie watched as the ferret became a girl and relaxed. "Yes it is."Sydnie confirmed. "You need to talk to Claire. She is from the student council. I can take you to her if you want."Sydnie offered.
