Claire winced as Cecelia did touch something, and something physically dirty. Shaking off the worry, she slipped on a pair of nylon gloves and set a table extension along Damian's side so his wing was stretched out. Noting that the shoulder was the primary wound, she pulled a mouth mask over her ears and set about cleansing the injury with a splash of surgical alcohol. The wound was still seeping blood, and after the cleansing solution had dissolved into Damian's muscle, Claire snagged a blood-sucking tube from a rack and flicked it on, quickly slurping up the blood with the tool. "I need you to keep Damian's wing from folding in. His animal instinct will be to draw it in close, and we need it open until I can work on it," Claire demanded, starting to stitch the wound together and mend sliced nerves and veins. It would be a long day.

(His hand? xD)
Her green gaze shifted onto Claire, watching the doctor/principal put on the nylon gloves. Claire had also brought in a table extension to have a place for Damian's wing to be worked on. It was all too much for her to handle. I have to stay here with Dami.. "You can go ahead and kick me out any time you want if I'm in the way." She didn't want to be the reason Claire was slowing down. She wanted Claire to have everything she needed, including space, to work on Dami better. The redhead was speechless and not reacting well to what Claire told her to do. Ugh, she didn't want any of this to be happening but it was. She had to do it.
I don't want to hurt him... What if he wakes up? He might be scared, and I'll have to hold him down... like an animal. Cecelia pulled her hand away from Dami's and gently slipped her hand underneath his injured wing. Her other hand was on top of his wing, and she tugged on it to stretch it out. It felt so wrong for her to be doing that especially to her boyfriend. But, it felt right when she reminded herself why they were doing all of it.

Damian's shoulder was slightly swollen, and it took a bit of coaxing to get the muscles to relax enough for Claire to work on. Her exhaustion was heavy on her own shoulders, but she worked for what she knew was necessary.
|Time-lapses because I can|
An agonizing hour later, Claire, asleep on her feet, transitioned to the wing. She felt a deep gratitude toward Cecelia for helping, because it might have been simply too hard for Claire to do the entire procedure on her own, even if Cece wasn't trained. Beginning by doing nearly the same thing she had to Damian's shoulder, though more cautiously because the wound was likely a bit tender from the time it had spent, Claire tried to block out the tug of sleep, focusing all her efforts squarely on the injury.

Once the wing had been patched up, Claire moved onto the next injury, which was Dami's injured shoulder. Cecelia had nothing to do at the moment. The wing was done so she went back to holding Dami's hand. She watched Claire just in case the snow leopard would need her help again. It wasn't much help, but she was trying her best to be useful. Even though, she had no clue what was really going on. Claire seemed to be working hard. Cecelia appreciated that very much. Maybe she could do something nice for Claire or get her something that came from the heart. She'll have to figure out something for Claire and yet there wasn't really anything that could cover what Claire was doing for the both of them. "Um... Claire..?" she started off. "Is there anything else I can do?"

Claire's suspicions were right about the shoulder being the worst wound, which was why she was doing the shoulder then the wing. Swearing her fingers were shaking a little, she started sealing ligaments and veins in a very tedious fashion. "Uh, I..." she muttered, blinking to stay conscious. "N-no, I'm almost fine. I'm almost done." Drooping tail, lazy ears, and a grim expression of determination playing on her face; Claire wasn't fine. But she pressed on, for Damian's sake, for Cece's, for the whole of the academy.

Cecelia backed away from the operation that she was far too close to. She didn't like blood or anything like that. She wanted to make sure Claire had the space she needed. I'm worried about her, too. She looks exhausted. Cecelia watched Claire's every move and her facial expressions. It must have been so hard on her. Claire had to hold her duty as principal and she was the only doctor. The redhead was worried that Claire would pass out from extreme exhaustion.
It could happen. And, that would also mean the students wouldn't have a doctor to take care of them if anyone else got hurt. "I don't know if you just want to do this on your own but... I think you should take someone as an apprentice of some sort. That way you could have someone to help you out and tend other patients that you rush to get to. What do you think?"

Unsure whether Cece was offering to be an apprentice or just suggesting she take one, Claire just nodded thoughtfully. Her friend was right, and she knew she needed help. "I'll keep an eye out for someone that can," Claire promised, finishing the last few stitches with lead-filled eye lids.

Damian still lived.
Yeah.
Kind of.
Mostly.
That said it would be nice for Claire to hurry up.
[[ PFFF SORRY BUT I'M NOT SORRY AS WELL XD Also a reminder that perhaps somebody not so distracted by ongoing surgery such as @taytay might notice the message written on Damian's left arm? The one that says, "Human=Killed by halfbloods" in pen? We all remember that, right? ]]

(Thaaaaank you! Now, I can probably continue this with muse because I was losing it since there wasn't much for Cece to do.)
Cecelia looked from Claire to the arm she was working on. "H-Hey!" Then, she grew quiet and spoke a little more softer. She hoped that didn't startle Claire and make her mess up. "There's something written on his arm." It was quite a scare. What could it be? Should they dare take a look? Cecelia tried to get a good look at it without getting in Claire's way. "Father... equals.. killed by halfbloods." Was there a human behind all of this? It must have been. It still wasn't the right way to go with it. The whole academy was in danger. No one was safe. "Claire, what are we going to do? I don't think this person has any plans of killing the half-bloods. Maybe we could come up with a resolution for this. We could try talking to Shadow... maybe."

Having just finished up the WING, Claire turned her attention to where Cecelia had directed. Written in black, slightly smudged but legible all the same, was the simple phrase "Father = Killed by Halfbloods." The message was much more direct than anything else that had come through, and Claire couldn't help but feel as though something was... more in depth about it. Turns out Cece realized it too. "We can't. It's too dangerous. At least... at least no one but be can talk to her. I can't let anyone get injured." Claire responded, shaking her head viciously. "Too many are inured already."
