[[ @taytay and now I'm realizing I have to remember every injury he sustained. Jeezus there's a lot and I will forget one I know it. Lots of them were caused by blunt strikes and didn't pierce the skin, so Cecelia wouldn't see those very much but there are some that are noticeable and I'll get to those. There's a bit of dried blood on his head, though it's not bleeding anymore, and his left wing feathers are a bit bloodstained since he got stabbed. OH I FORGOT ONE, he's been stabbed in the...right shoulder and it's been wrapped up a bit with a bandage. His left knee's been dislocated so forget walking but THAT COMES LATER.
IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT I DIDN'T APPROVE OF MOST OF THESE LOL ]]
Damian didn't exactly want to wake up. He realized he was when slowly awareness of pain starting coming back. It started in slow waves, becoming greater and lesser, but eventually it was too much to keep faking sleep.
The injured halfblood leaned to the left, trying to sit up and keeping himself propped up on his only uninjured arm. He blinked a lot, trying to get the blurriness out of his vision. He needed to know where he was-
He moved his leg and realized it was a mistake with a sharp pain shot up his left- standing on his own was not an option. Damian needed help...and after a while he figured out the best way to call. He shuffled as much as he could to sit up straight without causing himself pain, breathing in deeply despite his muscles protesting at the movement.
Damian let out a loud screech identical to that of a snowy owl, though it was louder and echoed through the forest. Hopefully somebody was nearby- he let his uninjured arm buckle and he fell back into the clovers, panting heavily.

"Dami!" the redhead human girl called, looking around the forest to see if she could find him or him in his animal form. Where was he? Did he try to fly above the walls and escape? It wouldn't surprise her if he did. Most half-bloods would rather flee unless they had something dear to protect, which was worth enduring anything for. The only other reason he was missing could've been because of the assassin, Shadow. Cecelia came to a stop and looked around the forest with a hopeless expression on her face. Dami is still here... He has to be! A screech, which sounded like a bird, echoed through the forest. It was a bird half-blood. Was it Adam? No, wait... "Dami!" Cecelia ran through the forest but not as fast as she could because she had to make sure and listen to see if she was getting closer or not.
The screech was starting to fade and that's when Cecelia ran at full speed to catch up with it. "N-No! Please, wait!" she called out desperately. The screech had faded out completely, and Cecelia was standing there and panting. Where did it go? Despite losing the screech, she continued to move forward and look for Dami. "Dami, it's me Cecelia! Or, um... Cece! L-Look, you don't have to yell again! I'll come for you! Just hang on-" Please, hang on... Cecelia blinked and noticed a clover patch up ahead of her. It was funny. She had never seen that before and her instincts told her to follow it. She jogged lightly and stepped into the clover patch, looking at the place where she ended up at. I wonder if... Her green gaze scanned the clover patch and fixed on a bird half-blood that was laying down. "Dami!"
Cecelia ran over to him and hesitated when she tripped over her own feet. Typical, clumsy Cecelia. Her face turned red with embarrassment, and she picked herself up and walked over to him. "H-Hey.. What are you doing laying-" Damian was panting heavily and he looked very exhausted. What was he doing the whole time? Was he running away from somebody or something? Cecelia crouched down and looked him over, noticing the dried blood on his head. Most of all, his wings were stained with his blood. "D-Dami... We have to get you to Claire! But, I don't want to leave you here alone. Can you walk? I can try to carry you..." Her heart was beating so quick and it ached painfully. Tears started to form in her eyes as she watched Dami hurt in front of her.
"Please, don't die... I-I don't know what I'd do if you did. This isn't how the story is supposed to end.. Remember? The pirate girl and the prince were going to make it over the barrier together. We can make it over this one, can't we?"

Even with his head still fuzzy, Damian's enhanced hearing had picked up Cecelia's calling long before she had come into his range of vision, which was limited. As soon as he heard her voice his mind screamed no, this wasn't a place for her to be now and she shouldn't have to see him like this. Of all people to find him it should not have to be Cecelia. Waves of guilt crashed onto him as she got closer...
Despite that he still couldn't help feeling a sense of relief. Somebody was there, somebody had heard him and he was glad it wasn't anyone else allied with Shadow. He clung to the hope that it was over, at least for now, help was on the way.
It broke his heart when he heard Cece crying right next to him. He wanted to speak to her and give comforting words, but he knew he wouldn't be able to say much without it taking a large toll on his already strained breathing.
Damian inhaled deeply and tried opening his blue eyes slightly, looking at Cecelia and forcing himself to give a small smile. He moved his arm, searching for her hand to hold and when he found it he squeezed it reassuringly...maybe it wasn't so reassuring after all since he could barely do that and the grip was weak.
"I-I'll be okay," he breathed quietly. "My leg's hurt, I don't know if I can stand on my own or move too far."

Cecelia tried to smile through her crying when Damian had opened his eyes a little bit to look at whoever was there with him. She nodded and lightly brushed Damian's messy brown hair out of his face. Just seeing his beautiful blue eyes made her happy. "It's me... Don't worry." she said and leaned in to hug him, but she knew that if she did that, she could hurt him if there were any more wounds that she couldn't see. She pulled away and that just made her want to cry even more that she couldn't hug him and tell him it was going to be okay. The smile that he forced to form on his lips made her realize something. It was true, though. Damian had been trying to smile for her the whole time... like she had been doing in return. So, did that mean Damian understood why Cece smiled all the time?
The happiest people on the outside... are the saddest on the inside. It is simply just another smiling mask to hide the pain, even in the darkest of our times. We smile for others so they don't have to go through the pain we went through. Cecelia gasped when Damian took her hand into his and gave it a weak squeeze. "Dami! Don't struggle too much... It's okay. I-I'm okay. See?" she said and smiled a small, sweet smile. It's not okay.. Damian can see right through me now that he and I have both seen what we've been doing to ourselves. We've been fooling ourselves the whole time. Cecelia didn't want to leave Damian alone to go get Claire but that was probably something she would have to do. Even if she tried to carry him, they both wouldn't make it very far.
"Dami, I don't want to leave you alone but if I don't get help, you could die. I don't know about that for sure, and I'm not going to find out that way. Maybe I can move you somewhere safer..."

Damian nodded a but at Cecelia's first words, showing her that he had heard them though he didn't speak. He let out another stiff yet deep exhale and he closed his eyes again, focusing on trying to even his breathing and ignore the pain. In both matters his success was very limited.
He squeezed her hand again, making sure she knew he was at the very least still alive and that he was happy she was there for him even though the encounter was hurting them both. When she spoke again he nodded another time, eyes still closed, but this time he spoke.
"I think Shadow's- nnngh- done with me," he admitted quietly, a hiss of pain interrupting his words. "I didn't give her that much information in the first place- I guess I'm always kind of useless in one way or another..."
As much as it pained him to be alone again he let go of Cecelia's hand, reminding himself she would be back soon. "Just go," he sighed. "I'll screech again if something happens." That was a lie, he doubted he even could at this point.

Cecelia understood if he was in too much pain to talk. He didn't have to struggle for her to know. Her small smile was no longer a fake smile but a real one. With every squeeze he gave her hand, she knew what he meant. Poor Dami... Then, Dami mentioned the assassin that had been going around and torturing people. So, it was torture.. That made Cece mad. Never had she ever thought that someone very close to her would be tortured. The thought sickened her for anyone that got tortured. She looked back to Dami and shook her head, smiling at him. "No, you did fine, Dami. You just get your rest, okay? I'll be back as soon as I can." Cecelia hovered over Dami and kissed his cheek, looking at his wings after she pulled away. It would've been even better if she kissed his lips, but he was having enough trouble breathing. He didn't need her stealing away more of his oxygen with a kiss. "I'll be right back. Try to calm down and rest. I'm going to go get Claire and.... I.. I..." She wanted to tell him that she loved him and yet she didn't. Cecelia rose up to her feet and turned around, running off into the forest. Hang on, Dami.. I will get you the help you need. As she ran through the forest, she called out for Claire over and over, hoping the principal was out taking a walk or happened to hear her from far away. (I guess Claire comes in..?) Claire Blakely

She shouldn't be outside. Claire knew that. Being the principal and only remaining doctor at the academy put her in greater risk than any half-blood or, heck, student there. She just couldn't shake the feeling that something might have happened that could call for greater needs than a few stitches if Shadow decided to keep her strings of torture going. Turns out, people were in better need than she expected. To Cecelia's luck, Claire's sensitive hearing picked up her calls, not too shortly after a loud owl screech. Spying the red hair of Cece, Claire slid down a smooth boulder that she had been perched on and ran to her friend's side. "What's the matter?" She demanded, quickly smelling traces of Damian all over Cece and... blood. Lots of it. And... was her nose playing tricks on her?- clovers.

Cecelia kept on calling for the doctor/principal, who she almost bumped into. It kind of surprised her that Claire had gotten there so quickly. Oh, yeah.. She's a half-blood. Uh, duh! She panted heavily because she was running as fast as she could. As she tried to quickly recover, it just made it harder for her to catch her breath. Finally, she calmed down and blurted out everything at once. "It's Dami. I thought... Shadow was playing a game but this is really happening. We need to help him, quick! Come on. Follow me unless you can get there faster. He's resting in a clover patch far into the forest. Do you know where that is?" Cecelia was ready to go back and help Dami, but her legs were a bit relieved to rest for a little bit. Ugh, I'm out of shape...Claire Blakely

(Woah! Actually I didn't expect that haha. She just described the place, hoping Claire knew it and that would help Claire get there faster.)
Cecelia blinked when Claire had jumped in front of her. Then, the snow leopard gestured for her to climb onto her back. What the heck!? "Are you serious?" Claire had given another gesture and that's when Cece decided to trust her. Cecelia climbed onto the snow leopard's back and looked down at Claire. Wow... That was going to be quite the story to tell Dami when he felt better. She was riding on a wild cat's back! It didn't seem to bother but it was a surprise. Cecelia had once made close friends with two pet wolves that her neighbor had. They would treat her as their own, and they would even let her ride on their backs. "Okay, Claire. Let's go save Dami."

Thankful Cece trusted her, Claire stood carefully. Flicking her ears in silent agreement to Cece's exclamation, Claire shifted her tail to get used to her new kind of balance. The extra weight wasn't that hard to bare and, starting off at a fast lope, Claire gave her rider the chance to get used to the almost horse-like trot. Following Cecelia's scent from earlier, Claire started off faster, trusting the human's instincts would kick in and she would hold on.

Cecelia was mostly scared that she was going to break the poor leopard's back. Yeah, she was large for a snow leopard. It just scared Cece because she didn't want to end up hurting her friend. Ooh~ It did feel strange riding on the wild cat's back. Cece leaned forward and held onto Claire's fur gently. She finally found the right grip to use on Claire's fur so she didn't hurt her if she pulled on it. "Claire, don't worry about me... Just run." she whispered into the leopard's ear. (Sorry it's short. I didn't have much to go on sooo yeah. Run, Claire! Run!)

Claire ducked her head low and bolted, and though she did fear a little for Cece, she knew that there was trust between the two, and she ran as fast as she could. As the acrid smell of blood overwhelmed Cece's older scent, Claire honed in on the source. Slowing down to a lope once more, she targeted the clover patch and stopped beside Damian, giving Cecelia the chance to climb off before returning to a human form.

Oh, gosh... The clover patch was coming into view. Was Dami okay? Hopefully, he was holding on like the strong bird man he was. Cecelia hopped off of the leopard's back when they had gotten close to the injured bird half-blood. She got down on her knees and looked down at Dami in deep thought. "Dami, I'm going to move you onto Claire's back." She hoped Dami would wake up soon to hear that. She didn't want to start moving him and then him waking up to an unexpected pain coursing through his body. Cecelia looked up at Claire and her eyes sparkled with concern.
(There won't be anything Claire could do for him there. They'll have to take him to the hospital.)

I was going to say the same thing, Claire realized, crouching low as she had previously. Cranning her head forward a touch, she sniffed the wound on Damian's wing, recognizing the metallic scent of a knife. Shadow. Her warm eyes assuring Cece to the best of her ability, the snow leopard nodded her large head slightly to show she would to everything in her power to bring Damian back safely, and hoped as well that Cece would try to either keep pace or ride back; she didn't want her to be alone in the forest.

Without even realizing it the owl half-blood had drifted off almost as soon as Cecelia was left. Before he knew it he was blinking tired blue eyes open again at Cecelia, blinking again to clear his vision- it was annoying how much he had to do that.
He nodded slightly, looking up at Claire with a sort of dazed expression. After moving his head he decided the dizziness was not worth it and he closed his eyes for a moment to regain balance.
"...somebody stop the forest from spinning..." he mumbled in a weak attempt to lighten the mood a tiny bit. Another moment past and Damian forced himself to move, trying to shift so most of his weight was on his left arm. He took another deep breath, preparing for the effort it would take to sit up.
With a heave somehow he had managed to prop himself on the arm, barely withholding another moan of pain. They were worried enough, he could at least try to not sound like he was hurt too.

"Okay... I'm going to start picking you up now." If she could even pick him up! It was going to be hard, but Damian helped her by sitting up for her. Then, she could do the rest. As long as Claire laid low, Cecelia could drag him onto her back instead of having to pick him up. She frowned and got in front of him, wrapping her arms around him. I'm so scared... I don't want to hurt him. His wings looked bad. Heck, he looked awful overall. She didn't want to do it, but she had to if they were going to save him. Cecelia decided to just do it with as much strength as she could and get it over with. She held onto Dami and pulled him onto the large leopard's back that way it could be easier for Claire to carry him without him falling off if he was on his stomach. "Take care of him, Claire. I'll see you when I get to the hospital."

Claire wanted to help, but that would defeat the purpose. Shifting her wide paws outward so it would be easier for Ceceila to get the boy onto her long back, she tried to resist reaching out and just nudging him on in a more suitable fashion with the large head of hers. Damian's weight took Claire by surprise. She didn't move, simply blinked in an effort to channel nervous energy outward. It wasn't that it was too much, or that Damian was overweight, it was just that she had grow accustomed to not having anyone on her, and Cece was, in all honesty, a fair amount lighter than the half-blood. Exhaling sharply to show she was ready herself, Claire swiveled her head to check Damian, waiting for his word to go, and asking with her eyes if Cece was going to climb on as well - it would be easier to keep Damian on, but heavier by a bit.

Damian tried to make it as easy as his could, closing his good wing and bringing the other in as much as he could without causing too much pain or energy. Both had been stiff and sore, but luckily only one had been severely hurt. While he was moved he tried to keep in any sound that would betray pain, but he couldn't suppress a quiet "hnngh-", closing his eyes again tightly and biting his lip. He felt so useless.
After being placed on Claire's back, and before Cecelia could pull away Damian grasped her hand gently, using his other to cling to the leopards fur.
As pathetic as it may have been...he wanted her there for him. He breathed in again and spoke quietly.
"...don't go."

Cecelia looked back at Dami and crouched down next to Claire, looking into Dami's eyes and smiling. Her heart skipped a beat for real when her boyfriend had told her not to go. In other words, he didn't want her to leave him. If Cecelia bothered to ride with them, it would be harder on Claire and she didn't want them to waste anymore time left. Dami needed to get to the hospital quick. She wanted to tell him that she would be right behind them... sort of. But, how could she say no to that face he was giving her? "If that's what you want..." Cecelia wanted to be there, of course, she just thought he would get there faster if Claire just left her behind. She climbed behind Dami onto Claire's back, looking at the injured half-blood in front of her. "Claire, let's go." She slid her arms around his torso and held onto him lightly. If he started to slip off, she would have to tighten her grip on him and keep him in the center of Claire's back. Cecelia cried softly to herself, and she would have to put her hand up to her mouth to try and make her crying quieter. Of course, she knew that they both had like super hearing. Please be alright... I love you, Dami.@damianwright Claire Blakely

Blocking out Cece's quiet sniffles, Claire started off running, not to sudden. After a few moments, the half-blood unsheathed her claws for more speed and ran as fast as she possibly could. Her muscles bunched and relaxed rapidly under her skin, and it was all she could do to keep from arching her back to gain more speed, but that would sacrifice whatever comfort the two passengers possessed. Skimming trees, leaping over streams, Claire tried to make the journey as safe and comfortable and fast as she could. The ache in her chest was pounding at her with the thumping of her heart and the pressure in her lungs, but she pressed on, despite the pain, despite the fear. The only two things that were running through her head was the instinctual sense that controlled her motion and the knowing that, if she didn't get there fast enough, Damian's blood loss could make it difficult to save his life, let alone his wing.
|LOL that would be funny: Damian without a wing XD I'm so cruel|

[[ NO IT WOULD NOT SUNNY DON'T YOU DARE AOSPFHJAIJASOJF ]]
Some part of Damian was filled with relief when Cecelia sat behind him. He trusted Claire, he really did, but some part of him really relied on Cece being there...especially since nowadays nobody else was anymore.
Silently he thanked her for being gentle, even though miraculously she had managed to avoid any where he had gotten hit directly.
He heard her cry, he heard it and it hurt him, penetrating deeper than any wound could. He tried squeezing her hand reassuringly, even when it would have been better used to stabilize himself. Damian trusted Cecelia not to let him fall.
Despite knowing he was getting closer, the half-blood could still feel himself slipping from consciousness...he didn't know how much longer he could stay awake.

Her grip around Damian's waist grew a little tighter during the ride. It was a pretty fast ride, and she wanted to make sure she had a good grip on him from the start. Just in case he started to slip from her grasp. She didn't want to have to cause him more pain by pulling him back up onto Claire's back all the way. Oh, gosh... Stop it! Cecelia choked on her tears and cried a little bit out loud. "Dami! You need to save your strength.." If he had that much strength to keep holding on anymore. Cecelia calmed herself down so he wouldn't have to worry about her. She was just crying. He could worry about that later.
She wanted to tell Claire to go faster, but she was sure Claire was going as fast as she could. Claire wouldn't dare hold back on a situation like this one. Ugh, Dami... It's killing me inside not knowing you're going to pull through or not.. Please, try to hang on a little bit longer. We should almost be there...

Dashing down the final hill, Claire managed to gain speed, well aware of Damian's fading. Soaring over a large creek, ears slicked back and tail streaming out behind, she finally managed to see glimpses of the hospital up ahead and pushed herself to the limit. The world spun around Claire in hazy glows from oxygen deprivation. Sweat kindled under her fur and her brown eyes fixed themselves lazily on the building ahead as a faintness drew over her as she drained her strength into sprinting. Smoothly skidding in front of the hospital, panting for breath, eyes dry and blurred, Claire flopped carefully down onto her stomach for Cecelia and Damian to slide off. Claire knew she needed a moment, especially if she would have to jump right into surgery. Paws aching, she flicked her tail for them to signal she just needed a moment, because what's a doctor if she couldn't do anything from exhaustion?

Frankly the bouncing around had been the main thing keeping Damian awake in the first place. Every time he nodded off, and as much as Claire had been trying to keep the ride the least bumpy as possible, she couldn't do it perfectly.
When she started to slow Damian's lightheaded started getting the better of him again and he felt really...woozy, if you could describe the feeling like that?
The owl half-blood tried to stay awake, blinking eyes open for as long as he could but his vision was blacking out and blurring, and soon enough his eyes closed and they didn't open again.
Good thing he was still breathing, then, otherwise he might have scared somebody.

(Heck, Dami is scaring her anyway.)
"Dami!" Cecelia waited for Claire to come to a stop. She slid off of Claire's back and reached up to take Dami in her arms. She had to take quite the stretch and Dami sort of just fell on her. The human girl was caught off guard and fell down to the ground. "O-Ow..." she muttered in pain and she still had Dami in her arms but in an awkward way. This was getting frustrating but it was for Dami. It didn't seem to bother her since it was for someone she cared deeply about. Even if it was an innocent stranger, she would still put up with it. Dami had lost consciousness and that meant more dead weight for Ceceia to try and carry. It was a good thing and a bad thing.
It was good that he had lost consciousness so that Cecelia wouldn't have to worry about him feeling her tugging on his body. The bad thing about it was that he was slipping further and further away from the light. Cecelia looked worriedly at Claire and held Dami close to her. Is this really happening? Is Dami... No, I don't want him to die! "C-Claire... Please... You have to help him. He's dying! Please, Claire! I know I'm asking for a lot but..." There was no one else that could possibly save Dami. It was all on Claire. I shouldn't pile it all on her... if he really doesn't make it. Claire would have to live with that. Cecelia looked back to Claire and apologized.
"I'm sorry. I know you're doing everything you can." She looked back down at Dami and tried to slip out from underneath him. She placed herself in front of him and reached behind her back, trying to get Dami on her back so she could carry him inside easier. "Just... help me get him inside."

The world slowly sunk into recollection only moments after Claire had stopped. Her throat still burned, but fear and adrenaline drove her when Damian sort of collapsed. Standing back up at Cece's please, she shook off exhaustion and returned to a human form, still breathing heavily. "I'll be... right back.." she wheezed, sort of running and sort of stumbling inside the hospital. Waving a few worried nurses away to set up a room, she latched onto a bed and dragged it back out to Cece. "Here," Claire gasped, starting to regain composure.

Cecelia nodded and watched Claire walk into the hospital in a weird way. Poor girl had been running back and forth with weight on her back. And, to top that, she had to go into surgery. Dami was slipping more and more away from them. She would also have to rush him inside and jump into it quick. Cecelia stayed next to Dami, holding him in her arms and whispering sweet nothings into his ear. She kissed the top of his head as she held onto him. She looked up from Dami to see Claire returning with a bed(can't remember the name of that thing xD). The redhead used all of her strength to hoist Dami onto the bed. "Claire... Please, take care of him." She couldn't bring herself to give up on Dami already. They had to at least try. "Can I help?"

With a slight hesitation, Claire nodded. She wasn't stupid. She knew Damian would need everyone they could get to keep him stable. Rolling the bed (me either) into the nearest ready room, Claire set Damian up in the medical surgery thing bed and set a pulse sensor on his finger. Really slow, she realized with despair, and hooking him up with an IV line and an oxygen mask. "Okay, Cece, wash up over there," Claire instructed, pointing to a washroom. "Try not to touch anything when they're clean."

Cecelia followed Claire inside the hospital and walked with Claire to the room she had set up for Dami's operation. I didn't think about being in here while she did this. I don't know if I can watch this. Still... It would help if Cecelia was there. She could be an extra pair of hands to help Claire at least a little bit, but that was better than no help at all. Cecelia nodded, walking straight into the washroom and cleaning her hands Her clothes had some blood on them, but that should've been fine. She just needed to clean up the blood that had gotten on her skin. The human walked out of the washroom and backed up close to the wall so she wouldn't be in Claire's way until Claire needed her to do something for her. Cecelia did walk up to Dami, though, and she gripped his hand gently. "Dami... I'm so selfish.. I'm asking so much from you. I understand if you don't want to hurt anymore... But, I'm going to be here for you the whole time."
