Two Hearts Rejoined

Damian Wright opened his eyes to see himself tied up to a tree. Well, sort of. He was sitting on the ground, but the top half of him was tied to the tree. Wonderful, he thought to himself. How will I get back to Cecelia now? I miss her more than ever!
Cecelia Leerit walked through the now dangerous forest. She had heard about the recent hostages taken by the mysterious Shadow, and had actually met the first hostage Rosemary Jackson. She was very moved by all the recent drama and violence, and it made her want to leave and go back to the human world. But how could she leave her sweetheart Damian behind? If she left, she would suffer every day because she wasn't by his side. Where is that boy now? She wondered.
Damian heard crunching noises behind the tree he was tied to. He looked over his left shoulder and just barely saw the red hair he just knew had to be Cecelia's.
"Cecelia! Cecelia, help me!" A sudden cry startled Cecelia greatly. She thought the forest would be nice and quiet this time of day, but apparently somebody was in need of her help- somebody that knew her and she probably knew as well. She looked around to just barely see brown shaggy hair- brown shaggy hair she just knew had to be Damian's. "Damian!" She shrieked, seeing him more the more steps she took towards him.
"Cecelia, untie me! You need to help me!" Damian said, pressuring her to hurry and untie him.
"Of course!" Cecelia said happily, relieved to see him. She rushed over to the tree he was tied to and started to untie the ropes, but not before planting a gentle kiss on his cheek.
In just a few minutes, the ropes were untied. Damian was finally free. He jumped up from the sitting position he was in and grabbed the sides of Cecelia's head gently, running his hands through her red hair, kissing her.
Cecelia didn't have that much time after getting up. Damian had startled her with a surprise kiss. She didn't resist, because she figured he missed her, and she missed him too, so she kissed him back.
As quickly as the kiss had started, it ended. Damian pulled away and looked Cecelia in the eyes. "I'll tell you more later, but right now, we need to get out of the forest."
That is the end to Stories of Animalia Academy #4! The stories aren't meant to be long, no more than 500 words probably. I hope you enjoyed this story, and more should come soon!
