Stories of Animalia Academy [HASH]2
Dead Light, Green Light
By Kat
It was a peaceful afternoon.
Wait, that can't be right. At Animalia Academy, ever since Opal and Logan took over nothing has been peaceful. The working half-bloods were doing torturous work 12 hours a day. Digging underground, farming, fishing, and building Opal and Logan's castle were just some types of the work the half-bloods had to endure. Not one half-blood wasn't working during those 12 hours, except if you were sick or if you were an ally of Opal. Take Logan for example.
Let me start that over.
It was a peaceful night.
No half-blood was allowed over the brick walls, but at night Opal and Logan liked to play Dead Light-Green Light. It was simply the childhood game Red Light-Green Light, except every time the "stoplight" turned around to say "dead light", he or she would throw a knife. What a great twist on the childhood game, huh?
"Dead light!" Opal said as she turned around and threw one of her prized throwing knifes. Logan was lucky; he didn't move, but if he did he would've gotten a knife to his shoulder. The blade of the knife grazed Logan's shoulder and cut a slice in his T-shirt, then it hit a tree three feet behind him. There were no cuts to Logan's skin, however.
"You almost got me that time," Logan grinned, "But I guess I'm just too smart for you." He folded his arms across his chest, giving him the stuck-up diva look.
"You'll become too smart for me when pigs fly!" Opal shot Logan a nasty glare, but the deadly assassin couldn't keep herself from grinning as well. "Well, we better get some rest... and maybe we could check on our new subjects. Race you to the wall!"
The human and the half-blood bolted at the same time, though the human was faster than the half-blood this time around. A panting Opal reached the brick wall and slapped it with her hand to prove she beat the half-blood. Two seconds later, Logan approached the brick wall as well, panting. "I guess... this is a good time... to say goodnight?" Logan said between breaths.
That is the end to Stories of Animalia Academy [HASH]2! The stories aren't meant to be long, no more than 500 words probably. I hope you enjoyed this story, and more should come soon!
