Lovino Vargas was different from his brother in many ways. For all they shared in appearance, in personality, you could never tell they were related. Feliciano was an openly cheerful and caring person. Lovino was a jerk to anyone he met for no reason. Feliciano was loved by all. Lovino...
Feliciano was favored by his parents in art, in character, in appearance. Lovino...despite being the older brother, that had not been the case. Feliciano had been perfect. He had been a halfblood, just like their parents, like their grandparents...and Lovino was...he wasn't anything. Human.
Was it wrong to have this built-up resentment, then? He never directed it at Feli...he couldn't do that...but it just built up and up and he always sent it out at anyone around...
Fine, then. Let them take his anger. The thing that seemed to make the frustration build up was that Lovino had absolutely no idea where his stupid brother was, or where the dorms were. So he stood there with his bags in the middle of the courtyard, too stubborn to ask for help. He silently dared somebody to come up and find out just how angry he was.
[[ Let's see how well I can roleplay this character without laughing at the fact that he CAN'T CURSE THAT MUCH LOL ]]

Alice was one to not be thought of. She did not stand out in a crowd, she was not special in any way. Well, at least, no one noticed it. Alice had a very big heart, it was hard for her to show it at times, but she did. In her years of surviving in a forest, she would take care of small animals that had broken bones, or were cold. Then again, those were animals. Small animals. Even if she tried, she couldn't take care of anybody. Her height was what brought her down. Being 5'1 had it's downfall. Alice walked into the courtyard of the academy, hoping to change the fact that people looked down on her. Literally. She was wearing a cute petite dress, that was basically a normal dress, instead of petite. Alice saw a young man that looked a little ways older than her, that looked like he was feeling glum. Being the shy person she was, she hesitated for a moment to actually think it through if she really wanted to help this guy. Somehow, she found courage to walk up toward him, and ask, "What's wrong?" Alice has a trick, y'know? Being the size that she is, people would always be nicer to her, for they thought she was a mere child. Children tend to be more sensitive with their feelings, but if anyone snaps at Alice, she can surprise them with her actual age and maturity. Despite this, Alice still didn't like it at all when people snapped back at her.

"Well first of all I can't find my stupid-idiot brother in this stupid place and-" it was then that Lovino actually looked at Alice, and he stopped speaking.
She was a girl, and a pretty one at that, dang it. Red came over his face, that was no way to treat a lady and he'd been taught better. He avoided her admittedly beautiful eyes and averted his green gaze, crossing his arms over his chest as he huffed in annoyance.
"Scusate," he muttered quietly under his breath, knowing that he should be apologizing louder and in a language she knew, but it was an apology and frankly Lovino couldn't care whether she could understand it or not. After mumbling a short string of Italian curses shortly after, he finally started speaking up.
"I'm lost," he said angrily. "I hate America and this place, and I don't want to be here. I just want to get to my dorm and find my idiot brother, Feliciano."

(what the-I was not expecting that)
Alice was preparing to snap back, but, it seems as though he realized what he was doing, and stopped. Maybe her trick worked? The boy in front of her calmed down, and Alice listened to what he was saying, carefully. Aw, he was only trying to find his brother? Well, apparently, his idiot brother.
Alice had ways of understanding, she dug down deep into a person's words, and tried to decipher them. It was hard at times, but she could do it. Lovino's words made it sound he didn't really want to be here, like he didn't belong here. Alice couldn't see any animal attributes, and immediately knew why he probably felt like he didn't belong. It took a few moments for Alice to reply back, but when she did, she said, "I sort of hate America too." It wasn't a lie. Most people tortured her, and made her suffer in an abyss of misfortune.
"I don't know Feliciano, but I'm sure I could find him, in this ocean of students. I would think I could help you, but I need to know your name first." continued Alice. Names were what made her remember, what made her recall the happy times of her life, as well as the sad ones.
(this got weird in my head)

Lovino grumbled under his breath again but complied. "Lovino. Lovino Vargas," he huffed. "My stupid-idiot brother is Feliciano Vargas, an airhead, but everyone seems to like him anyway."
He shuffled awkwardly on his feet, not exactly having anything to say except more insults and complaints, but he didn't want to do that in front of a girl. After becoming a deeper shade of red he muttered very quickly, 'Sei molto carina.' He hoped she hadn't heard or didn't understand Italian.
"So do you have a name too?" he asked as though he hadn't complimented her a moment earlier.
[[ He said, 'You're very pretty' in Italian. However, since Google Translate sucks it's likely that wasn't quite what he said. ]]

(woah there) Alice smiled, and said, "Nice to meet you Lovino, my name's Alice Green." Lovino, that's a nice name. It almost has the word love in it! Oh no, her girly side was taking over. Alice was like that, she was mature at times, but she did have her childish girly side, which could come at any time. She heard Lovino mutter something, but Alice could only understand part of what he was saying. Alice didn't speak italian, but, she did understand so very little of it. In fact, she knows a little bit of every language, thanks to a large library she lived in, for about a year. The only word she could understand was "pretty". Alice blushed a light pink, and smiled even brighter. (CUTE OMG )

Thank god Alice didn't say that out loud. Lovino hated the nickname "Lovi" with a burning passion. Soon he forced the red blush off his face and picked up his bags.
"Well?" he said impatiently. "Are we going? I'm in dorm 12." He refrained once again from insulting Alice, despite how strong the urge was. Surprisingly enough she wasn't too annoying. So maybe he could hold of on the cursing for a little while.
"The sooner I check up on my idiot brother the better," he muttered angrily. "He's probably already done something stupid."

Alice snapped out of her girly daze and clicked into reality. "Oh...right." said Alice. A light shade of red came on her face from embarrassment. Alice stood up and asked, "Would you like me to show you personally, or do you want me to point you in the right direction?"
Alice was not one of giving tours, mostly because of her shy nature. However, she sort of wanted to show Lovino the way to the dorms personally, mostly because she had heard him mutter pretty. Alice thought that he would want to spend more time with her. Lovino could just hide his feelings and say, "Point me in the right direction." Or, he could just not even like her at all. Could go either way, really.

"I don't care," Lovino tried to keep his voice as far away from a growl as he could. "Whatever gets the job done is fine with me."
Just as Alice was shy, Lovino had his own fair share of being afraid to voice his true opinion. He never seemed shy, he easily masked it with bold words and shouting, or his bad temper usually stopped anyone from thinking he was holding anything back.
The fact that he wasn't doing either didn't mean he liked Alice exactly...it only meant that he disliked her less than everyone else. She wasn't too annoying so Lovino could stand her a little longer. Besides, he wasn't really trying to hurt her feelings by saying no.

(Sorry for the late post! This week was really busy for me. ) Alice was the slightest bit broken inside when he said whatever was quickest. Obviously, it wasn't going to end in a tour, but instead pointing in the right direction. She frowned a tiny bit, as she turned around to find the dorms. Alice quickly smiled again, and turned to Lovino. "See that building there? Take the path to the right and you'll find your way there." she said, pointing to the dorms, then to a path to the right. "I hope you'll find your way there, Lovino." said Alice smiling brightly.
