"Ah~" a satisfied sigh came from a wolf shift that had long, messy black hair and silver greyish eyes. Things were looking up for Elias. His past mistakes were, well, in the past. Animalia was the fresh start that he needed. The academy was a fresh start for everyone. And, better yet, his foster sibling was going to the same school as him. The young man was just taking a nice stroll through the forest. It would be best if he got familiar with the forest. To be honest, he got lost in the forest that night he ran into Angelica. He didn't want to tell her.. She would probably mock him for being so stupid and going out there by himself on his first day at the school. Elias kept track of where he was going and where he came from. He jumped slightly when he heard a tree make a rustling sound with its branches and leaves. "Who's there?" He walked up to the tree and looked straight up at it. A gentle smile appeared on his face and he reached up the tree. "Don't worry. You don't have to be afraid." There was a small creature in the tree, and he hoped he didn't scare it. And, no it wasn't an act just so he could eat the animal. Elias was better than that. Brenda Anders(Yeah. Sorry that this sucks. I tried, though.)

The small creature was, of course, Brenda Anders, the Academy's only squirrel half-blood who had a nose for architecture. She had been smoothing the walls of her tree fort, which was built quite literally into the tree, and had transporting small items like thin rugs into it to furnish it. When Brenda heard footsteps outside, she was instantly alarmed. Her little fort was hidden in the nook of a branch and far out in the forest among many other trees that look exactly like it, besides the fact that it was a good foot larger than the others in diameter. And the only other person that knew about her fort was Logan, a ruthless tiger half-blood who she had once thought was her friend, until he turned on her an threatened to kill her. Of course, she stood strong, but a squirrel against a tiger? Good luck, kid. Brenda squeezed through the three-inch wide gap in the trunk of the tree, hidden by a branch. Sniffing the air, she leaned over onto a twig, trying to get good look and whiff of the intruder. The twig the squirrel was leaning on snapped, causing a light pop. Frightened, Brenda scurried backwards, ready to leap onto another tree for shelter. But the boy that came around the tree - who had been downwind of her - wasn't Logan. Still cautious as he extended a hand, Brenda crept further down the tree, perching on a branch directly above the boy. Blinking her beady eyes, she emitted a slight chatter, a question, even. Then, after a slight hesitation, she morphed into her human form, sitting on the branch with her legs swung to the side.

Wow... In his thoughts, Elias was surprised that the small animal approached him but cautiously. The small animal appeared to be a squirrel. Mmm~ Squirrel was delicious! He panicked and shook that idea out of his mind. There was no way he could eat the squirrel especially after it trusted him enough to get closer. Maybe it was just curious about him like he was curious about it. This is bad... Why do I feel this way? I'm a wolf! It still surprised him, though. Most small creatures would run away from him, even if he just wanted to play. He couldn't blame them for looking at him like he was crazy.
He was in the disguise of a wild beast after all. All he wanted was friends. It's not like he was asking for much. Just some nice friends no matter what they were. Anyway, the squirrel was kind of cute with it's big, beady eyes. He chuckled as he noticed the squirrel's little mouth move and make a chattering noise. Elias smiled at the squirrel and then he looked shocked when the squirrel turned into a cute brunette with glasses. "E-Eh!? You're a half-blood." He was shocked at first and then his eyes sparked with excitement. "Amazing!" Hey, you're a half-blood too, you dummy! "O-Oh... that's right." he mumbled to himself and looked up at the girl.
"H-Hi there. I'm Elias. What's... What's your name?"

Brenda giggled a little in spite of herself. This kid can't hurt me. He's almost more shy than I was when I first came to the Academy! Now at more ease, Brenda swung both her legs over the branch and peered down at the boy, smiling warmly as he stuttered. "I'm Brenda," she replied, pushing her glasses up the bridge of her nose a bit. Glasses were a pain for her. It was why she preferred squirrel form. "You new?"

Elias blushed shyly and rubbed his neck. Was it really necessary for the girl to stay up there? Maybe she had trust issues or something. She was so mysterious that Elias had the urge to stay around longer to get to know her. But, it made him kind of sick to his stomach. That brunette had some guts to be hanging out in a tree. The wolf boy was scared of heights. He thought she was crazy for liking it up there. Well, she is a squirrel so... That didn't mean much. Squirrels liked to hang out in trees but she could prefer staying on the ground. A bird half-blood would make more sense. Birds are meant to fly after all. They enjoyed heights and seeing everything from above. "Nice to meet ya, Brenda." he greeted and smiled at the girl. "Yes, I'm not afraid to admit. I'm the newbie~ Do you know a guy around here named Grant Bixby? I'm his brother."

Brenda truly thought long and hard, but couldn't seem to recognize the name. "I think I saw him at the school dance, but maybe I'm mistaken," she admitted, scraping the branch with her thumb nail. Brenda kinda thought it was kinda cute the way the boy, Elisas, rubbed his neck self consciously. The half-blood tucked her simple blue shirt into her black sweatpants. Suddenly, she had turned around on the branch, and swung backwards, dangling upside down by her knees, her face now at eye level. "So," she said, completely ignoring the fact that she was upside-down, a squirrel, and talking to a wolf. "You like the academy then?"

It was okay if she couldn't remember or she hadn't met Grant yet. He was still fairly new as well as Elias. Elias was hoping to find his brother and have a nice talk with him. And, he's always watching out for Grant, although, Grant should be the one watching over his little brother. Brenda mentioned something about possibly seeing him at the school dance. School dance? Elias didn't care if he missed it, but he didn't imagine Grant being into those kinds of things. Maybe he liked the dances if he had someone go with him. Ahh~ I wonder if he brought himself a girl to the dance... Brenda was right. It could've been a mistake and that was fine with him if she couldn't remember exactly. His wolf ears twitched slightly with amusement as he talked with her.
Brenda flipped upside down on the branch she was sitting on, hanging on the branch like a bat. Elias chuckled to himself and poked Brenda's forehead playfully, wagging his tail a little. "So," "Hi there~" This girl was cool, even though she was crazy for climbing up so high. It didn't look like she needed help down. She probably knew what she was doing. Duh! She was a squirrel. They are practically the masters of the trees. "Yeah! I really like it here. There are so many nice people, and I have yet to see everyone's animal form. You are a squirrel... I'm a wolf."

The girl smiled, hanging her arms by her head, her hair falling down and her glasses somehow firmly on her nose. "That's good. You know, I almost dated a tiger half-blood. He turned out to be worse than I expected. I'm fine with hanging - quite literally - with a wolf half-blood." Brenda smiled. She almost wished Jack would start a thread meet up with her so she had an excuse not to like Elisas. "You know, the trees are my favorite place. I've even made a little home in one." What are you doing? The last time you told someone about your hide out, he tried to impale you with claws he made from scrap metal!

Huh? It was good that Elias was a wolf..? He could've ate her if he was hungry and wasn't aware that she was a half-blood. But, he was always the odd one out in his pack. He considers his family and friends to be his pack. Out of the two wolf brothers, Grant was the most normal.. as a wolf at least. Brenda said something about almost dating a tiger half-blood and then he was worse than she expected. "A tiger... Did he try to eat you or something?" That would be pretty bad if her crush almost ate her. Elias wouldn't do that, though. "Ah~ You squirrels love your trees, don't you? I can't stand heights..." he said and blushed with embarrassment.
His fear of heights must've made a good laugh for Brenda but she was a natural at mastering the heights. Elias would tuck his tail between his legs and walk away. There was that time he sat on a hill with a husky girl but that was just a hill. It was no problem. A tree was completely different. "When I was little, I would always chase a cat up a tree and then I wouldn't be able to get down! I felt guilty because Grant always got me down from the tree. He was too nice to leave me up there after getting stuck so many times."
