Thomas walked around the courtyard, rubbing the back of his head nervously. "What's going on here?" He muttered to himself. Everyone here had animal ears or wings, or even a tail, but a few didn't. Even so he saw them making conversation with them. 'How can they not be scared?' He thought. Maybe it was just a mix up, maybe it was just like a... animal dress up. But they couldn't have happened. He'd seen them yesterday with their animal features. He was a very strong boy, and skilled at fighting. He looked around once again. 'I'm gonna be stuck here for a while.'

Adam was walking in the courtyard, wanting to make some friends. He saw what seemed to be a new student, and walked over to him. "Hi there! I'm Adam, a student of the academy. What's your name?" asked Adam. He hoped he wouldn't be too over-the-top friendly to him. Adam made that mistake with his younger sister many times, and he certainly would not like that to happen.
(WHY AM I WRITING THIS SHORT I CAN DO BETTER THAN THIS)

Thomas looked up, not showing any fear whatsoever of the winged boy. "Thomas Blake, but I also go by Tom or Tommy." He said. Tom and Tommy. Those names brought back sad thoughts of his two dead friends. Newt had called him Tommy, and his best friend Teresa had called him Tom. So many of his friends had died. Alby, Chuck, Teresa, Newt, Winston, Jack and Jeff, and Zart. He rather wouldn't talk about those times. "Dude, honestly I have no idea what's going on here. Why does everyone have wings and stuff?" He asked.

Adam's stomach dropped. "Dude, honestly I have no idea what's going on here. Why does everyone have wings and stuff?" Adam rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "What do you mean you don't know?" he asked. Maybe he's just used to half-bloods without animal parts? Oh who am I kidding, he's a...a... Adam didn't want to think about it any longer. He could never forgive humans for what they did to him. To everyone at this school. Never. Cece was an exception. But, nobody else for sure.

"I mean, everyone has wings, I just don't get it! Why do all of you have that stuff? Is it like a disorder or something?" he asked. These people were.... weird. He just hoped there were plain humans here at this school, some he could get answers from. "Dude, I don't know what's going on here, but it's freakier than the Griever Hole." He said, with a long sigh. Looking around absently, he let out another sigh.
