Alice stepped off the bus and looked up at the academy. She covered her eyes from the blinding sunlight, and lowered her head. Alice was wearing a simple dress and flats. She looked around to see that she was much shorter than everyone else. Alice sighed, and started to accept the fact that she wouldn't get any taller. Knowing that she was in the right place, she looked at her light brown wings, and looked at all the other half-bloods' animal traits: Wings, ears, tails, gills, and even some she couldn't recognize. Alice rubbed the back of her neck, and looked at the ground. She was incredibly shy, mostly because Alice was an only child, AND she grew up alone. Heck, the only people she really had a conversation with, was her parents! Oh well. I guess here, I'll have my first conversation. Ever. Alice heard footsteps coming toward her, and her heartbeat grew louder. She was very nervous, wondering what the person in front of her would think of her, badly? Or wonderful? She could only assume. (woo, long post!) |

(That quote in your status...is seriously incorrect. The "force" is from star wars, Harry Potter is from Harry Potter, Gandalf is from The Lord of the Rings, and The Chronicles of Narnia has nothing to do with any of those. Were you high when you wrote that?)
Damian had been hanging around the bus stop again. He still needed to expand his circle, everytime he looked around he recognized less and less people...maybe because some of them were dying-
He mentally scolded himself for bringing up the subject. He was still trying to get rid of the image of Kevin's body. It was true they hadn't been close to friends at the time, but he had never wished pain upon the wolf half-blood. Especially not for him to have died...like that...so young, too.
"Hey there!" he shouted at the girl who had just arrived, putting the subject of death behind him. "Welcome to Animalia Academy! I'm Damian!"

(lol, if you didn't know, it's from a meme that I actually thought that the author was high when he wrote it. She didn't move her head up to look at the boy, and finally after what seemed like forever, she said, "Uh...hello. I'm Alice. Thanks for welcoming me." She moved her head up a little to look up at Damian. He had a friendly face, blue eyes, and brown hair. Alice noticed that he had white wings with white specks on them, like a snowy owl's wings. She assumed that he was also an owl half-blood. |

(Your signature is too big, resize it please  ) Damian smiled again, blue eyes bright. He was glad to be away from the drama for a moment. "It was no problem at all!" he insisted. "What, did you think you were gonna be able to come here and not make friends. I'm afraid you are stuck with all of us now." He tried not to be as loud as he usually was, since he could tell that Alice was a bit more shy than some other people and would rather not scare her on her first day. "So, I'm a snow owl halfblood, what animal are you?" he asked, hoping to start a conversation. |

Alice couldn't help but giggle a little when Damian said she was stuck with them. So, I'm a snow owl halfblood, what animal are you? Alice smiled happily. Never in her life had she seen another owl half-blood! "I'm a barn owl half-blood!" said Alice nodding to her brown wings. "I've never met another owl half-blood before, what a coincidence!" She looked up at Damian, and smiled. It made her neck ache a little, for she was 11 (!) inches shorter than him (he's 6'0 she's 5'1). "Cool!" Damian replied. "My folks were owls too, so I can't say I haven't, but I've never met a barn owl one before. I like being one. We get to rub night vision in other people's faces, huh?" he joked. He didn't really rub his very-enhanced vision in anyone else's face, he didn't like coming off as rude, but he was still glad to have it. "So, what brings you here other than the obvious?"

Alice smiled at Damian's joke. "Hehe, yeah. Well, I actually don't really know. I was really just in hiding when I got the letter to the academy." she shrugged. Alice could already tell that her and Damian could be friends already, but maybe not to Damian yet. Or maybe because he was the first person other than her family to talk to her.
