The full moon shown on Brenda's squirrel form as she zipped from tree to tree from the surprise place she had just fixed up. She followed the river upstream, reaching the wide part of the cold water where she and Jack King had first had their love affair. When she reached the bank, she glanced around, assured that Jack wasn't there yet, then shifted back into a human. The cold air pierced her skin, which was more exposed than normal in her blue swimsuit. Brenda's long brown hair flowed to her shoulder's in the light breeze. Slipping off her black flip-flops, Brenda walked slowly down the bank, dipping her feet into the icy water. Taking a breath, she waded further in. The cold river bit at her legs, crawling up her thighs until it consumed all but her neck and head. Brenda released a breath, which she had been holding in against the cold water. The black night sky caused the water to be murky, but the large Harvest moon caused it to be brighter than even a normal full moon. Brenda smiled and dunked under. Silence filled the water like an enclosed cave. The Half-bloods squirrel tail was instantly drenched and hung like a dead weight in the water, but also didn't get in her way. Brenda tentatively opened her eyes. The water blurred her vision and she ran out of breath. After taking in a breath and clearing her eyes, Brenda ducked back under and opened her eyes wider. The river's icy water bit into her eyes, but she didn't mind it. Luckily, she wasn't even that deep. The twenty year-old reached the deepest part of the river, which was only ten feet from the bank but was nearly 10 feet deep, but then broke the surface for air. She spent another five minutes exploring the water before realising there was someone watching her. Brenda turned and slicked her brown hair, darkened by water, to the young man that watched her; Jack. She smiled, and blushed in wonder at how long he might have been watching her. "Hi!" She said, hushed by the river.

Jack had only been watching Brenda for a few seconds. (that was an awkward sentence) "Hi Brenda!" said Jack before slipping into the ice-cold water. His now wet swimming trunks floated in the water (like they always do), and Jack swam a little bit closer to Brenda. He gave her a peck on the cheek and said, "I missed you." (that sounds a little creepy now that I look at it...) (short...)

|HAHA MY MUSE IS ALWAYS OVERPOWERING AND NEVER MUNDANE!|
Brenda smiled and didn't hold back. With a careful grin, she reached up, finding a large rock for her to stand on, which just happened to be in a deeper part of the water, and attempted to pull Jack down for a long, passionate kiss. Brenda closed her eyes and hoped she could have her moment with him again.

Jack gave in to the attempt for the kiss. He blushed, closed his eyes, and carefully fitted his lips to Brenda's. It was just like the moment they had yesterday, but now it seemed better, and more right than yesterday.

|NO NO NO NOM NO NO GETTING THAT STUCK IN MY HEAD|
Brenda released a happy sigh (ew) and relaxed her muscles. Carefully, she moved a hand to his mid back, leaving the other at his neck. The world seemed perfect again, from where she stood in her suit, which exposed more of her than she had ever exposed to another individual. It felt weird, yet right. (EW EW EW)

Brenda let herself be tugged closer, humored at the thin cloth between his warm hands and her waist. |D=| She began kissing him just a touch more passionately, loving him with her entire heart, never wanting to let go.

(just realized that they've been kissing for a few seconds, but in the posts it seems like an hour) Jack pulled away for a half a second so he could take a breather (because DANG THAT'S A LOT OF MOUTH HOCKEY) and pressed again once more to Brenda's soft lips.

|I'm so dying right now|
Brenda inhaled as well, then returned to kissing him. It struck her that they couldn't just stand there for all eternity, as much as she wanted to. So, pulling away despite her displeasure, she ducked under the water and slicked back her hair. Then, surfaced, she pointed a thumb behind her; downstream. "Come on," She said in a sweet smile. "I want to show you something." With a grin and a deep breath, she dunked back underwater, being hoping he would follow, and started swimming fluently downstream, the river giving her a glide. A few feet further downstream, she surfaced for air, then went back under, hoping to see him following close behind.

"Ooh, okay." smiled Jack. He followed Brenda downstream, or should I just say, float downstream? The current was pretty strong, and Jack would just have to boost himself whenever he was going to stop. But, soon they were there. He came up to see a....

The river split at where they were, and Brenda took the right fork, where the current started to slow. Soon, she came to a cave-like entrance that slanted down into an underwater tunnel against a mountain. Brenda grinned, staying afloat with brisk motions of her arms, and glance back to make sure Jack was following. "It's a twenty second swim," Brenda explained, pointing down to the water. Despite the darkness of night, a faint glow came from the tunnel, and only Brenda knew why. Taking a deep breath, she penciled down to three feet and started swimming through the tunnel, eyes open, smiling at the little lights everywhere. After seventeen seconds, she burst up into a little air pocket at the top of the tunnel. It was four feet wide in diameter, but a good two feet tall for perfect access to air. Brenda looked down, hoping her legs created a beacon for Jack to see. He'd need the air for the last stretch.

|Brenda's legs can glow? WOAH SHE SOUNDS COOL|
Jack followed Brenda down the right fork where the current slowed down. He began to swim quicker, and the he came to a cave-like entrance. He stopped for a minute to admire the entrance, for Jack had never really been in a cave nor seen one. When Brenda explained that it would be a 20-second swim, he nodded and took a deep breath. Jack went about 2 feet below the surface, and started to swim. After about 15-17 seconds, he swam up to the air pocket, and smiled at Brenda, waiting for her to swim again.

|Lol, no, this post explains..|
Brenda smiled, took the largest breath she could, and sunk deep again. She started swimming with all her might, little white LED's lighting her way like the stars far above her,. Brenda somehow managed the thirty-four second swim without choking on herself and when she entered the most important part of the journey. The tunnel widened the last two seconds of the swim into a large, twenty-foot wide cave. The water was warmer since it wasn't moving as much, but still glimmered with LEDs that had been excessively placed in crevices of the rocks. Gasping, Brenda broke the surface as soon as she cleared the overhang of the tunnel and entered the underwater cave's air. It was a cool humidity, blasting her face life a refreshing gulp of lemonade. The splashes that came from her surfacing echoes along the cave walls. If not for soft, faint, battery-powered blue light that Brenda had managed to hook into the roof after many attempts, the cave would have been blacker than a new-moon night. Brenda kicked the rest of the way through the mostly-silent cave to the far side of the pool of shimmering water, finally reaching an erosion-carved underwater ledge that acted as a kind of seat-stair. Taking a seat in the four-inch deep water, legs hanging over the edge, she peered down through the water after rubbing her eyes at the smooth cliff that deepened into a deep, naturally filtered pool. Grinning, Brenda looked back up. She had found the place after her first river swim with Jack, and thought it would be perfect for them. Just them. The two of them.

Jack followed Brenda to the one special place in his heart. The place of his first kiss. Well, he had kissed other girls before, but that was his first kiss-kiss. He swam over to Brenda and leaned in to kiss her, not before asking, "Wanna have that one moment again?"

|At first I thought we somehow teleported back to the river, but then I gotz the brain| Brenda smiled. Of course she did. That's why she brought him to the isolated cave. Her heart beat faster as he leaned over her, and a thrill ran up her throat. She answered by leaning back more, raising her hand with a slight splash as the water dripped off it. Brenda moved the hand to his face, attempting to rest it on the side of his face. She closed her eyes and lifted her head slightly to finish her reply and aimed a passionate kiss, wanting to relive they're first kiss.

Jack closed his eyes, tilted his head ever-so-slightly (because it hurts to smush your nose), and kissed Brenda. He attempted to run his fingers through her hair, by lifting his hands to Brenda's head.

Brenda's heart fluttered at Jack's fingers in her hair. She inhaled sharply and moved her free hand to his back, the world swirling in a volcano of love and romance. She scooted back and leaned against the smooth floor of the cave that was littered with sand so she didn't have to work so hard to stay upright. "I love you Jack," She murmured against his soft lips. "Don't you ever forget that."

Jack's heart sped up faster as Brenda told him that she loved him. He attempted to move his other hand to Brenda's waist. "Don't worry," said Jack to Brenda.
"I won't."

Brenda smiled and felt a shill run down her spine as Jack rested his hand on her waist. She grinned and kissed him with more passion in her heart than she had ever felt. Her mind raced with love and hope and rightfulness. She knew she never could have had this with Logan. And that only made her press her hand into Jack's back lightly, love in her small soft fingers.

|Know what you mean | Brenda gave in to the attempt to be closer and opened her eyes to look at Jack. His face, in her eyes, was mixed with love that she felt in her heart. There was still a few centimeters ov space between her and her love, though, so she used her hand om his back to try to bring him closer.

Brenda suddenly remembered that they could have been doing that anywhere, and scooted away from Jack. Hovering over the edge of the cliff, she smiled, then jumped backwards. When she was underwater, Brenda opened her eyes and waited to see what Jack was doing.

|ROTFL ROTFL ROTFL ROTFL!!!!!|
Swishing her hand in a "stay there" gesture, Brenda pushed away the nauseating feeling of pressure and swam down to seven feet; only half as deep as the entire pool. Squinting her eyes against the pain, she swam over to a crevice in the rocks and stuck her hand in. Then, she drew out a small metal box the size of her wrist and pushed off the walls, swimming back up to the surface in a burst of air. Brenda quickly kicked her way over to the ledge again, and tapped the spot beside her. Hoping Jack would sit next to her, she opened the two ziplock bags that the box was stored in, to keep it and it's contents from eroding. "I got something for us," She said, hoping she wasn't moving their relationship along too fast.

|WAI, WA!?|
Brenda laughed. "No, it's not," She said, attempting to kiss him really quickly. She then set the box down, stood up, and stepped out the ledge to the sand above. Brenda counted allowed, quietly, her steps, starting at the edge of the step-seat. "One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six. Left. One. Two. Three. Four." Brenda then kneeled down and moved the sand by her feet, grinned as she dug a small hole and excavated a small, thumb-length-long key. She returned to the box, fit the key in, and turned it. "I thought we needed something to bind us together. You know, like a keepsake, and we can leave it here." Inside the box was two silver lockets, each shaped in a simple oval with the chain at the top. "So, I thought we could look for something to put in each of these. They're waterproof, but I wanted them to be safe anyway." Brenda removed one locket and handed it to Jack, grinnined and hoping he would like the gift.
