Liliana turned around to look at @blondieboy, her cute cheeks stuffed with food. She tried to smile, but struggled and most certainly couldn't speak. Turning back to her plate of sweets and candy, she began to gather more. She knew such meals were terrible for her, but she really liked them. Candy and cake and pie! She loved all of it. If mother was around she would have most certainly scold her for having such an unhealthy plant.

His dark blue eyes widened, and he put his hands in front of himself. Liliana looked like a very hungry chipmunk with her cheeks stuffed with food. Wait a minute... What if she was a chipmunk! Luka looked behind her and made sure that the wings he saw earlier were real. Yep, she definitely wasn't a chipmunk. Maybe a bird of some kind. There was no way she could be an angel. He laughed nervously as he watched her pile a bunch of junk food on her tray. Did kids really eat that much candy on a normal basis?
It actually made Luka feel sick to his stomach to see the little girl eat all of that. He couldn't put that kind of stuff into his system if he wanted to keep fit and healthy, although, he did enjoy sweets every once in a while. Luka grabbed himself a bottle of water, a sandwich, and a bag of chips. "You know, it's not good to eat like that. I mean, it's okay to have junk food every once in a while, but you need to even it out if you're going to do it that way." It worried him that the girl was eating so much, and it was all sweets! It wasn't good for her teeth either.

"I know," she said simply. Walking over to a table she placed her plate on the table and pulled out a chair. Slowing sitting down, she fix her dress so it wouldn't wrinkle. Liliana didn't honestly have that much, only a slice of cherry pie and a few peanut butter fudge. Grabbing her fork and knife she began to gently cut a slice of the pie. The little girl sat with her back up straight and didn't slouch. When she lived with her Uncle he made sure she became a fine young lady, so to bring honor and elegance to the Dove blood line. That is she became, a fine and proper young lady when the time was right, but she was still just a young girl.

Luka figured that Liliana was aware of that. He was sure that her parents would tell her all of the right from wrong stuff and things that parents have to tell their kids to make sure they grow up to be good adults. He followed her out and walked up to the table Liliana was sitting at. What was he doing? All he asked was for her to show him where the cafeteria was. He could handle the rest on his own, but he kind of wanted to stay with Liliana. Maybe it was because of the way she was eating and the way she just walked off without him. Okay so maybe he was a little worried about her, and he didn't like being alone that much unless he wasn't in the mood to be around people. Luka set his tray down on the table and pulled out the nearest chair to sit in.
The first thing he went after was the bottle of water. He twisted the cap to open it, and he took a big swallow. He let out a satisfied sigh and put the cap back on the bottle. That was refreshing! The boy looked up to see the girl straightening herself up and eating her sweets so properly. It was kind of cute. There were times Liliana acted mature for her age and yet she was quite childish. Of course, kids are supposed to be childish anyway. Luka's smile grew bigger and he picked up his sandwich, taking a bite out of it. It tasted so good! It was the perfect lunch to him. A crisp, refreshing bottle of water, a sandwich, and a bag of chips. It couldn't get any better than that. It was a nice lunch that would keep Luka full for a while. He took another bite and chewed with his mouth closed, trying to avoid Liliana's gaze with what he could. He chewed it up and swallowed, looking up from his sandwich to look at Liliana.
"Um.. Thank you for bringing me here. The food is really good."

Liliana was sure to mind her manners, so she didn't look or stare at Luka as he ate. No, she kept her blue eyes locked upon her food. The only time eye contact should be made was when someone was speaking to you, it was extremely rude to stare as one was eating. So, when Luka finally spoke to her she looked up from her plate. Liliana smiled when he thanked her for taking him around. "Your welcome. I remember my first day, Rosemary and Adam showed me around. They were very kind to me and because of them I was able to make many more friends. I was hoping that you could feel the same happiness as I did when I first came here."

Oh, Luka must have been rude when he watched her eat her sweets. He didn't mean to stare at her. Liliana just caught his attention with the way she ate her food. Eh... That was probably the same thing with staring at someone eating. He expected her to shove it all in her face like a child. Or, maybe it would be like a baby eating with his/her hands. "Uh..." Luka blinked and blushed lightly, lifting his hands up to take another bite of his sandwich. The boy chewed it up and glanced at Liliana, swallowing it.
"Yeah, well, don't look into it too much." He didn't want her getting her hopes up of becoming friends with him if that was what she was thinking. Ugh, Liliana just made it harder for him to resist. She was so kind to him. It was hard for him to keep her away unlike before. Obviously, he wanted to get to know her since he sat down with her. He could've went his own way through the cafeteria. Nope, he wasn't feeling much happiness. His feeling was quite neutral at the moment. Luka appreciated that she took time out of her day to show him to the cafeteria, though. "So, you're a bird half-blood of some sort?"

Liliana giggled once more as she seemed to be playing an act. She didn't know he was trying to be tough, she just thought he was playing around. Maybe it was because she was young or just naturally kind person, but she saw the sides of people that other may not see. "Alright, I won't." Liliana said simply to his demand. If he was being rude, Liliana clearly didn't see it that way and just simply smiled. She took a small bite of her fudge and chewed it in a graceful lady like manner. Swallowing, she looked up at Luka as he spoke once more. "Yes, I'm a dove. What are you Luka?"

"Yes, I'm a dove. What are you Luka?"
Everyone that knew Luka knew that he was a good boy. Luka behaved well in school, and he cared about others despite his attempt to push them away. He didn't want anyone to rely on him. They could rely on someone else. There was no way he would ever let someone lean on him again like that. He would not carry that guilt with him if he couldn't protect the ones he loved. "G-Good.." he said and put his sandwich down to open the bag of chips. Luka popped one in his mouth and munched on the chips hungrily. Liliana had more grace than him, but girls tend to be more mature and have better manners than men.
Honestly, Luka was also raised to be a gentleman and yet he was breaking out of his habits already. Remember that he was raised to be a gentleman. That didn't mean he fully made it to that goal. He winced a little and started to eat his chips nervously, glancing around to find anything to distract Liliana with. Ah, sneaky little guy. Trying to dodge the question like that! "I-I can't... I won't!" Luka finished off the bag of chips and felt like curling up in a corner. "I... I... I'm a Tanuki! A... A raccoon dog!"

Liliana's blue eyes grew puzzled, "A raccoon dog? I've never heard of such a thing. Can you show me what it looks like?" Sure her Uncle made sure Liliana had fine teachers and they taught her a lot, but she had never heard of an animal called a Raccoon dog, not even in stories. Her gaze wondered to her plate as she tried to think of what a raccoon dog would look like. How it would act and what it would eat. She was greatly puzzled by this new found creator that has been discovered.

Ugh... That's right. No kid would know what a raccoon dog was. They would just know the regular animals they would see in real life like cats, dogs, cows, horses, etc. That's unless they live in an area where they would come across a raccoon dog. It was embarrassing! The boys around Luka's age would say he was a filthy mutt and ugly. The girls thought he looked adorable in his raccoon dog form. He looked more like a raccoon but that was probably why it was called a raccoon dog. It's supposed to look like a raccoon and the size of a dog with a little more fluff than usual. "Um... There is a time for everything. I don't think this would be the right time and place for me to turn into my animal form. Maybe some other time..."

Liliana turned her attention back to Luka as he denied her the chance to see his other half. Well, she couldn't be upset by his choice. "It's okay, there is always next time which will be at the right place and the right time. I kind of envy you thought. Your animal is so unique, it's rare. I'm a dove which you can really find anywhere. I mean don't get me wrong I love being a dove and I love my wings, but I kind of wish I was something special."

It was okay as long as they were in the right place for it. It was mostly the place that bothered him. If they weren't eating, he would turn into his animal form. But, he didn't want to gross anyone out with his other form. And, he wasn't trying to make her sad. They could set up a date to meet again, and they would be in the right place for him to shift. If we were in the right place right now, would I have shown her my animal form? "I don't think you have much to worry about. I would love to be a bird half-blood. It would be better than a raccoon dog..." It actually cheered him up when she said that his animal form was so unique and rare. It was for people that didn't live in a raccoon dog area like East Asia, but he knew what she meant. Not a common animal that you would see pretty much everywhere. "Thank you for cheering me up... I mean, that's if you were trying to.."

Liiana looked at him with puzzled blue eyes once more, "where you feeling down?" Liliana knew if he was then it would be no good to linger on it. So the little girl changed the topic. "Anyway, you really should see the surrounding areas around the school. They have a forest and tundra, I hear they have a lake too but I've never been. Say! Want to go swimming in the lake?" Back at her old home they had a lake and Lilian and her three othe siblings would always to swimming. (Sorry on my phone)

Luka was somewhat down in the dumps at the thought of turning into his animal form in front of so many people. He was also sure that no one would want to see that while they were eating. Time and place for everything like he said. The boy grew irritated when he kept on getting the wrong signals from Liliana. She didn't know he was disturbed by showing his animal form to her? Then, she really meant that she wanted to be a different animal despite that she loved her wings dearly. Luka always wanted to fly and have his own wings, but some people were more fortunate than others. He hated his animal form. Unlike the others, he preferred his human form over his animal form. That's how much he hated it. "Um... not really. I don't like the water all that much."

Liliana tilted her head as he replied negatively to her suggestion. Once more, she was not upset about it. They would just need to keep and open mind for what they should do later. "Do Raccoon dogs not like water?" Liliana connected his dislike to water to his animal form which she knew nothing about. Then again it could just be Luka who disliked water, she wasn't really keeping an open mind at the moment.

It was killing the boy on the inside. There was no way he could reject her and not feel guilty about it. Liliana was a little girl after all. Some little girls would start to cry and most of it would be fake crying to get people to do what they want. However, Liliana didn't cry or get angry with him. It was okay if they couldn't find anything to do together. Luka was the one tagging along with her in the first place but that was only to get to the cafeteria.... and he kind of liked her. "No, my kind actually loves the water! I guess I'm the odd one out then... I could try. I mean, I rarely like the idea of getting wet. Sometimes I enjoy it, though." The boy shook his head, and he decided he wouldn't take no for an answer from himself. "You know what? I will. I'll go swimming with you." He wasn't sure if the girl wanted to go right at that moment or what but he would go with her.

Liliana smiled with joy as he changed his mind. He would give it a try, that was more then enough to make this little angel smile. "Great, we can go after we finish eating! Or later if you wish, we've got a lot of time to get to know each other! I hope we can become good friends!" Liliana looked down at her plate, taking the last bite of peanut butter yummy sugar.
(We could make the thread where he sees her cry soon if you wish.)

Luka sat back in his chair and sighed with relief that the little girl was happy he changed his mind. He also appreciated that Liliana didn't whine, cry, or complain about him saying no at first. He nodded to her and waited patiently for Liliana to get done eating her very sweet lunch. It was okay if he had to wait for her to get done. Liliana didn't have to rush since Luka was in no hurry to get wet. Luka laughed and began to think about them becoming friends or even good friends. "Yeah, it might even be fun." Liliana was already a lot of fun, even though they were just eating lunch together and talking. "It's up to you. I don't mind. I'm in no hurry to go swimming." (Yeah, we can do that! Sorry that this is a late response )

Liliana finished her food and stood up form the chair. Fixing her dress, she grabbed her plate to dispose it. When she was done, she returned to Luka. Before she asked him, she recalled something. "Oh no!" Liliana said with a gasp. "I'm suppose to speak with a teacher about my studies!" Turning to Luka she gave a small smile, "I have to go, but we should go swimming soon." Giving her wings a flap, she began to fly into the air. "Bye Luka," the little dove waved as she flew off.
(I will make the thread soon.)

(Okay. Please, tag me in it or just send out a shout in the shoutbox, telling me where it is. I'll find it!)
Luka turned slightly in his chair to face the sweet girl. He blinked at the girl, wondering what was wrong with her. He relaxed when Liliana said that she had to talk to her teacher about her studies. Thank god... Luka was worried that he did something wrong to make her gasp like that in shock. The boy chuckled and flashed a friendly smile, giving her a small wave of his hand. "Ha ha~ See you later, Liliana." Silly little girl.. He smiled as he watched Liliana fly off to go speak to her teacher about her studies. Hm... What was there for Luka to do? Luka rose up from his seat and picked up his tray to throw it away. I guess I could find out where my dorm is.
(THE END!)
