The sun glittered high in the sky like a giant ball of stars, and the world seemed to rotate as she gazed up at the sky. Of course, it was. But that's not the point.
When she looked back down she saw a flash of grey-white and black, and cocked her head. Was that a glacier with her reflection? She went on to investigate.
But as she got closer, she noticed how different she was from the 'reflection' and frowned. Another half-blood snow leopard? Dang. She wanted to be special.
"Hey!" She said upon arriving near him, unsure of what to say otherwise. "You new?"

Chase turned around when he heard a voice. It was another snow leopard. "Yeah, I'm new." He said to her. "I'm just checking out the tundra. My name is Chase, Chase Blakely." He shifted to human form, where he was wearing a jacket and jeans. He held out his hand for her to shake.

Claire cocked her head and shifted into a human. After standing, she examined the black-haired boy and wondered if their names were a coincidence. "Did you say Blakely? Because that's my last name. I'm Claire. Claire Bond Blakely.
