Logan was just relaxing in tiger form, just lazily laying on the forest floor eating the dead deer. His perked up when he heard footsteps. He looked around trying to detect the source of the sound.

Zachary had gotten lost yet again. What was this, the third time already? Somehow he had managed to find out where he was before, but it seemed that every time he came into the forest he just got in deeper. Even with his completely human senses, it didn't take too long for him to smell...blood. He put his hand over his mouth and nose, trying to block the stench and deciding it would be best to not get any closer, but it was harder to determine where it was coming from in the first place.
He caught one glimpse of the dead deer, not even checking to see if anyone else was near, before stumbling back away again to a place that he couldn't smell it, and leaned over the ground like he was about to barf.
"Ohh my god that was distusting..." he muttered to himself.

Logan walked over to Zach in tiger form, before sniffing him, and shifting back to human. His metal claws were in his bag, as we're his throwing knives. "Hey." He said. "So what bring a half-blood like you out here, besides relaxing?"

Zachary had jumped up once he spotted the tiger, his glasses almost falling off at the sudden movement. He might have had a heart attack on the spot, if Logan hadn't transformed a second later. He pushed them back up and let out a awkward cough.
"Trying not to hurl," he admitted. "I'm not used to seeing...whatever that was. I got lost in the forest...again. I'm pretty new here and have no idea what I'm doing."
"...You're not gonna...eat me...are you?" Whether he was pretending to be a mouse, or just a human, he was sure if the tiger half-blood wanted him to, Zachary would become his lunchtime snack.

"No." He laughed. "I'm not a cannibal." He then stuck his hand out for Zach to shake. "The names Logan Marshall, a tiger half-blood." Logan's tiger sense sensed something different about Zach, he didn't have the half-blood smell, and he didn't have any animal features. He gave him a confused look. "What's your animal half?"

"Zachary Elliwood, or just Zack," he answered, shaking Logan's hand as well. Besides the fact that this guy just killed a deer when there was perfectly good food in the cafeteria to eat, he didn't seem too bad.
"Mouse," he lied again, making sure to at least keep his lies consistent so nobody caught him that way. "I know I don't look like it, I get that a lot." He pushed his glasses up again, then slipped his hands in his pockets, looking around. "Yeah, I think I got lost...oh well." He shrugged it off. Hopefully this guy could point him in the right direction once they were done talking.

"Oh." He said. "A mouse." He could tell he was lying, but didn't want to push farther into the subject. "Nice to meet you Zack." He looked around, trying to find some more prey, but just looked back at Zack when he couldn't find any. "Oh, since you're lost, the school is that way." He said, pointing in the direction of the school.

"Are you trying to get rid of me that quickly?" Zachary asked, patting his chest as though he was in pain, though it was in a joking, light-hearted manner. "That hurts, dude. Hurts." He looked in the direction Logan had pointed to, memorizing it as best he could quickly before turning back to the conversation.
"So what do you do all day?" he asked. It was half an effort to seem more like a halfblood, and half an effort just to know what they did in their everyday schedules. "Just hang out in the forest? Do you do other stuff, too?"

Logan laughed. "Well, yeah, usually I just sit around in the forest, or hang with my brother Danny. Of course we take classes and stuff but otherwise that's it." He said.

Zachary doubted that was all he did. He was rather good at lying, himself, and he could tell when somebody else was as well. "I'm sure that's not all you do," he pressed, eyes flashed threateningly behind his glasses for just a moment. "A dead deer back there proves that you do other things as well. Are deer the only things you hunt around here?" Though the aroma around him was still carefree and energetic, it was moments like these where Zachary's inner personality shone through his cheerful aura. Sometimes Zachary acted kind of stupid, but he knew a lot more than he let on. He learned at a young age that people would give you the slip and not punish you if you kept looking innocent, and they might think you wouldn't understand most of what was going on.

"It's none of your business what I do." He said. "I may be lying, but what are you lying about, hmm? You don't have the half-blood scent, you have more of a human scent! And do you know that if they find a human here, they will kill them?"

(Woah, woah, I didn't give Logan permission to know about Zachary being a human. I said he could be suspicious, but nothing more. If you have any questions, feel free to look here and tell me if I left something out. I can be forgetful sometimes. You have broken two of the specifics in these rules, already. "Tiger sense" and a "human scent" are not allowed. I would read these again just to make sure you don't break one of these rules again.) Zachary kept himself from not visibly stiffening in front of Logan. The fact that Logan was trying to change the subject was proof enough for Zachary that he had struck a chord with the elder teen. "Not all of us are so lucky we get the full markings of an animal half. My lack of animal characteristics is what has let me survive so far," Zachary hissed, lies rolling off his tongue, though he was able to make them seem realistic, given years of practice in lies and deception. "I'm not a human." The fact that death would be the penalty for being exposed, however, was something that put him off. Were these half-bloods so afraid of what he might say they were willing to kill him?

"Okay, I believe you." He said. He was still a little suspicious of him though. "So, what has it been like at the academy so far?" He asked.

Zachary decided not to push the subject further. He could tell Logan was skeptical, but commenting on that might raise the suspicions higher again. Besides, he liked looking innocent and a bit of an airhead for a reason, and would rather not drop the act for this guy.
"Fine, so far!" he chirped, smiling shyly and pushing his glasses up again. "Everyone's been pretty cool."

"Yeah, and the forest is just amazing! I can finally be myself here." He said. "I recommend the courtyard, though. There's a lot of sports there. And you can ride skateboards in some of the forests."
