The young auburn-haired girl believed that flowers were heaven's masterpiece. They were so beautiful especially with little dew drops on the petals. When Cecelia heard there was a greenhouse built for the school, she couldn't wait to check it out! It was nearly dawn but that was the only time she could pull herself away from school to go check out the school's greenhouse. Cecelia headed out into the forest and refreshed her memory over and over again where her teacher said she had to go. Before she knew it, she found herself standing in front of the greenhouse. It was huge! It was almost the size of the school. Was it really necessary to have a greenhouse that big? Well, take a look at the school. It was so fancy, and they had the finest quality food. The size of the greenhouse only made her even more curious about what was inside.
Cecelia turned the knob and opened up the door, leaving it open as she walked into paradise. It took her breath away! There were little ponds filled with koi fish, a brick walkway for them to walk around in the greenhouse to go to different flower sections of the garden, and there was also a little area in the very back where students could sit down around a coffee table and enjoy the peace and quiet of the greenhouse. Cecelia walked down the brick walkway and looked at all the flowers they had. They were for sure the finest quality. They were so beautiful! She decided to play a game where she would try and name as many flowers as she could remember. Cecelia stopped at a little garden where the flowers were closed up tight. She wished she could've gotten there earlier to see them in full bloom. It sucked but at least she could get familiar with the place. Hopefully, she wouldn't get lost. She followed the brick sidewalk to one of the koi ponds and she crouched down to get a closer look at the koi fish. Wow.. They're sooo pretty!

"Pretty fish aren't they?" Adam was right behind her the entire time. Since hawks are pretty swift, he can enter a building without any sound.

The girl jumped up to her feet and spun around to see a handsome boy. He was the hawk from the other day. He said his name was Griffin, Adam Griffin. Cecelia took a step to the side and looked back at the koi fish. She looked back at Adam and nodded in agreement. "Yes, they are very pretty. Um.. Your name is Adam Griffin, right? I'm Cecelia." Wait... Adam wasn't like Damian. He didn't know that she was a human. Remember what Damian said. Don't act so clueless about half bloods. Say that you have animal DNA but not enough to transform. Ugh... Who am I kidding? I can't lie about who I am.

Cecelia knew that Adam was a type of bird. What type of bird? She wanted to know and she didn't want to know. She wanted to know out of curiosity, and she didn't want to know because that would just make Adam ask her what animal she was. Her family had been keeping secrets from her for her whole life. Cecelia didn't want to be like them. She didn't want to have secrets she kept from people nor did she want to lie about it. But, it was for her own safety. If she told the wrong person that she was a human, he/she would run and tell the principal. Bye-bye Cece after that. "What are you doing out here so late? This was the only time I could pull away from school to visit the greenhouse. I love flowers, and I just couldn't wait to come here. But, it's only dawn so I guess it's okay."

"Well, birds tend to like nature, so I came in here. " explained Adam. "I'm half hawk if you want to know."

That was also true. Cecelia was glad she met someone that enjoyed nature as well. She hoped to build her own cabin by a lake with a beautiful view of it someday in the future. It would be so peaceful and relaxing. Cecelia couldn't wait for the day she would be out on her own without daddy watching over her every single moment of the day. She was growing and that meant she needed her own space. She couldn't rely on her father forever like some spoiled princess that doesn't want to do any work and calls for daddy to save the day. No, just no... "Half hawk, huh? That's nice, isn't it? You get to fly and be free... oh..." Oops! Cecelia remembered that humans had taken away the half bloods' freedom. They only had freedom in Animalia Academy. That was better than no freedom at all, right? Well, they did lose their family, and they had to go into hiding for several years. Face it, they didn't have much freedom at all, did they? Cecelia looked around nervously, trying to figure out a way to change the subject. It was so awkward!

"Well, not always..." said Adam. He was always pestered and bullied and hunted down in Denver. When it was hunting season, hunters tried to shoot him! Sadly, one shot him in the arm. Adam looked down at his bandage on his left arm. He rubbed it gently, and said, "Well, being half bird can have it's pros and cons. Anyways, um, you're looking fine this evening." Adam blushed.

Oh, yeah... Cecelia forgot that birds are hunted by humans, but there weren't any humans at the school. Well, there weren't any humans at the school that wanted to hunt birds especially half blood birds. Cecelia blinked curiously at Adam when he rubbed the bandage on his left arm. Did he get hurt? She hoped it wasn't anything serious. The girl blushed a little and nodded shyly. "Y-You really think so? Thank you, Adam~"

Adam smiled shyly. It was his only way of getting out of that awkward situation. But, he was telling the truth. "Yeah, you're welcome." said Adam. He looked down at the flowers that were closed up. He studied them and learned that these flowers only bloomed at night. Adam looked up, and saw the final ray of sunshine go down the horizon. There were dim lights in the greenhouse, just making it lit. Adam looked down at the flowers again, and saw them start to bloom. "Cecelia, look! The flowers are blooming!" he exclaimed.

Adam's smile only made Cecelia blush even more. He had a beautiful smile. Cecelia watched the boy examine the flowers she noticed earlier when she entered the greenhouse. She thought that they just closed up earlier than the other flowers. Adam exclaimed something about the flowers blooming. "What?" Cecelia walked up to Adam's side and looked down at the purple flowers that were starting to bloom. Her green eyes lit up like a Christmas tree, and she gasped with amazement. "Wow! They are beautiful. I wish I knew what they were called. I have never seen anything like it before." The purple flower bloomed and a purple glow radiated off of the flower.

Adam smiled more as he saw Cecelia's amazement of the flowers. He picked a tiny blue flower and put it in her hair. The blue against her red hair was very vibrant.

Cecelia was surprised that Adam put a tiny blue flower in her auburn hair. The blue flower stood out and complimented her hair. She looked at Adam with confusion and blinked her bright green eyes at him. She looked away to avoid his charming gaze and his smile. Her cheeks turned slightly red, and he focused on the glowing purple flowers in front of her. Cecelia didn't know what to say. Should she thank him or what? She shifted her gaze back onto Adam and smiled at him sweetly. "So, um.. how does it look?"

"T-Thank you, Adam." Things were starting to get quiet and awkward between the two. All they were doing was smiling and blushing at each other. "It's getting late but we still have time. So, will you tell me more about yourself? I really want to get to know my classmates before the school year is over." But, maybe it would be best if she kept her distance from them. Cecelia had to keep her secret until the end of the year then she could transfer to a different school. It was for her own safety, but she was starting to like Animalia Academy. It was like her dream school except she didn't know there would be students called half bloods. Half human and half animal. "I'm afraid I will only be attending Animalia Academy for this year."

"Anything you feel comfortable talking about. I don't want to, um, dig into your history. I know that most of the half bloods here had their childhood destroyed by... my kind." Oh, fudgesicles! Cecelia revealed to Adam what she really was. It seemed so natural to talk to Adam that she forgot about her secret. Adam made her feel like she could talk to him about anything. He didn't even question her right off the bat if she was a half blood or a human. Gosh, darn it! I let my guard down. "I-I meant the humans! N-Not my kind because..." Okay, it was time for her to spill the beans... again. "I'm not going to bother lying to you... I'm a human, so are you going to turn me in now that you know?"

(Oh, gosh xD Priceless expression right there!) Cecelia nodded when Adam asked if she was a human. It's like he was trying to see if he heard her right. Yes, she was a human. The girl looked surprised to hear that Adam wasn't going to turn her in. The friend part really got to her. "We.. are friends?" She never knew until that moment. Yeah, it was fun talking to Adam, but she wasn't sure if he wanted to be friends with a human. She looked at Adam with deep concern for the bullet injury he received from a human. "Adam... I don't understand. Why would you be friends with a human if that species hurt you? I mean, it's not like I'm not grateful that you want to be friends with me. I would really like that, actually.." she said and looked to the side, blushing with embarrassment.

A rush of excitement went over Adam when she said "I would really like that, actually.." He quickly bandaged his arm again, and said, "Well, you haven't done anything harmful to me, have you? I'm only afraid of humans that are fully grown. You're still growing."

"You're so weird!" she said and giggled to herself. Adam was afraid of full grown humans. Cecelia was practically a grown up. She was sixteen after all. That's when a girl finally becomes a young woman. Adam made it sound like she was a harmless little girl. She wondered if she would be offended by that, because she did not want to look like a weak target to anyone. There was no way she would let anyone walk all over her and get away with it. "I just hope you don't end up hating me when I become one of those fully grown humans. I would still be the Cecelia you're talking to right now so let's not worry about it, okay?" It wasn't like Adam was worried about it. Cecelia was the worried one. She finally made a friend, and she didn't want to lose him. Yeah, Damian and her were kind of friends in some way. She wasn't sure if it was official or not that they were friends. She hoped they were friends.

"I hope so! But, I just realized that this will be my first and last year at Animalia Academy. I want to stay because I've started to make friends and it's a beautiful school. I'm honored to be here, even though it was all a misunderstanding. I guess it would be one less human you guys would have to deal with if I transfer to a different school. I would be upset too if I was- nevermind." Cecelia wasn't going to go there. She didn't want to say that if she was a half blood, she would be a little bit angry that humans made it into the school that was meant for half bloods only. It would probably offend Adam and other half bloods. She didn't want to be down in the dumps about it, but she didn't know what to do with her thoughts. She just blurted it out and refused to stop herself from saying more. At least I got that off my chest for now... "Maybe we should go.. It's getting late anyway. Thanks for talking to me, Adam. Damian is so mysterious and alert that I feel like I can't even talk to him like a normal person. I wonder if he was always like that... Or, maybe it's just me. I mean, I am a human after all, and I'm not like Opheilia... I'm sure she's handling this human secret better than I am. There's no doubt that she might be able to get by this year without getting caught by the wrong person that would turn her in."

"You're welcome, Cecelia. Oh, and one more thing before you go." said Adam. He kissed Cecelia's head, and walked out of the greenhouse.

Cecelia's face turned tomato red when Adam gave her a kiss on her head. She tried to spit out words so she wouldn't look stupid but it didn't work. She was so embarrassed that she couldn't even talk right. Don't get the wrong idea, though. She wasn't embarrassed of someone seeing that, but it was just so unexpected that she didn't know what to do with herself. Adam was one sneaky guy, huh? Then, he just left her there in confusion. What was that all about? Oh... Oh, well. I guess I should head back, too.
THE END<3
