(@taytay and Kevin Jake? xD Why am I tagging a dead person?) Damian seemed to always come back here. It was always a cemetery. Death affected everyone at one point, though, and eventually everyone had to face it. It had been a shame that Kevin had faced it so early, though. He had agreed to come here with Cecelia earlier, so now he was waiting for here. A few flowers he had brought were placed around the grave, the one that Damian had helped dig, though he didn't remember doing it. He had been so out of it that day he hadn't bothered to pay attention from the point of Kevin's death to comforting Cecelia. Or maybe something even worse had happened that was just being blocked from his mind. He didn't even know. Most of that day had gone by in a blur, yet some moment he could remember so clearly. Most of it he didn't want to, though. Soon he heard footsteps approaching again, and he looked up.

Cecelia walked up to Damian's side and waved her hand in front of his face. The girl smiled at him and hoped her smile would cheer him up like it always used to. She looked at the grave and tried to keep on smiling for both Damian and Kevin. She believed that Kevin would be watching over her and his friends. It would be wrong to cry over his death forever so Cecelia tried her best to make a positive atmosphere at Kevin's grave. "I'm sorry that I was late, Kevin. I thought you would like flowers from the forest since it was your home. You did spend a lot of your time in the forest~" she chuckled and crouched down to put the flowers on his grave.
Cecelia tried to find the prettiest flowers in the forest, but Damian's flowers looked better. She stood up and looked down at the grave, wondering what they should do next. She looked to Damian and reached out to take his hand into hers. Damian took it a lot better than she did and yet he was hurting as well. "Dami, I want you to know that I'm here with you... I'll always be." It was okay if he wanted to cry. Damian let her cry in his arms, and she wanted to do the same for him if he needed a good cry.

(Hey remember that shell bracelet thing? Damian still wears it all the time c: I just remembered I totally forgot about it, but he still always wears it.)
"Ah, you weren't that late," Damian joked. "I can understand why you would want to be, though. It's freezing out here, and that's coming from me." He pretended to shiver, ruffling the feathers on his wings to add to the effect.
"Yeah," Damian smiled back, and though it was smaller than usual, it was sincere. "I know." Damian didn't really need to cry, though. He and Kevin hadn't gotten too close anyway. He was really depressed about him dying, but him not crying wasn't him putting up an act to be the 'tough guy.' He knew Cecelia would understand if he momentarily broke down in tears, though.
"We're all gonna miss you, dude," he admitted.

(Yeah, I remember that! I was thinking about letting Cecelia find out that Damian was still wearing it. But, I wasn't sure since you never put it in your post xD You don't have to put it all the time, though.)
That made Cecelia wonder... Did either of the boys regret not getting closer to each other? They spent most of their time being angry with each other. Did Kevin's death change how they looked at it? They were behaving better when Cecelia broke up with Kevin. That was probably because they didn't have a reason to be jealous anymore. Cecelia should've broke up with Kevin sooner. Then, none of that stuff would've happened. It was kind of her fault since she felt pressured to answer back to Kevin so she went with the feelings she felt in the moment. She didn't mean to play him like that... Cecelia didn't know what to expect from Damian. She knew they weren't all that close, but she kind of figured he would be a bit depressed about it.
She opened her mouth to say something to Kevin, but she ended up swallowing her words. "I just... I can't." Cecelia looked to the side and a couple of tears rolled down her cheeks. "I'm so sorry, Kevin." She knew that if she said a few things to him then she would end up choking on her words and start crying. She didn't want Kevin to see her crying over his grave not like the scene she made in the cafeteria. Cecelia wasn't ready for it just yet. It was still a lot for her to take in. She took a deep breath and tried to calm herself down.
"Y-Yes... We will miss you very much." All she could do was to agree with Damian at the moment, although, there were some more things she wanted to say. I'm fine... Don't make Dami regret bringing you... When Cecelia reached for Damian's hand, her hand touched something else. It was odd to feel that there... She looked to see what it was and it was the seashell bracelet she made for Damian. "You're wearing the seashell bracelet I made for you..."

Damian understood it was hard for Cecelia to come to terms with having somebody close to you die. It was natural for all of them to feel pain, especially the first time. Cecelia had been so close to all of them...she shouldn't have been forced to have this pain. Some small part of Damian was kind of pissed at Kevin for getting into a fight with wolves and loosing. Wasn't Kevin supposed to be the better fighter, anyway?
Even though he was a tiny bit mad, it was mostly depressing for everyone. The fact that the animals were becoming so hostile in general was something that Damian was worried about. What if Kevin was only the first out of many to get hurt by the animals of the wild? And the hunter animals of Animalia Academy were also hunting sometimes. That wasn't going to help relations with the wild at all.
His train of thought was broken when Cecelia started crying. He reached for Cecelia's hand as she reached for his, but he must have missed because she ended up holding part of the seashell bracelet. Sometimes he forgot it was even there, now. He wore it all the time, it felt weird if his wasn't there, frankly.
"Y-yeah, I guess I am," Damian answered. He let a shy smile find it's way onto his face as he looked at Cecelia. His cheeks were becoming slightly pink, but he doubted she would notice. "Why wouldn't I? I said it was going to stay there, and I meant it."

Cecelia wiped her tears away so Damian wouldn't have anything to worry about. She was going to be okay, and she reassured Damian with a smile. Yes, she was going to be okay as long as Damian was with her. But, it would scare her if she found out that the animals were becoming very hostile. She still didn't know the cause of Kevin's death. They just announced he was dead. They didn't tell the students how he died. Anyway, if she found out, she would be stuck to Damian's side no matter what. To put it into simpler terms, she would stalk him whenever he went into the forest or the tundra or any of those areas. She lost Kevin, and she didn't want to lose Damian next nor did she want to lose anyone.
Kevin was already hard enough to get over and if Damian died.... It would be about a billion times worse. Her smile grew bigger, and she slipped her hand into his after fooling around with his bracelet. "I actually believed you would wear it all the time, but part of me doubted it. Ha ha~ And, I was sort of testing you to see if you would wear something I made or bought for you. I thought that you would think a seashell bracelet would be kind of childish... I'm glad to see that you're wearing it, though." She blushed as she held Damian's hand, entwining her fingers with his. "It means a lot to me."

"I honestly thought that I would forget to," he admitted. "I wanted to make sure I wore it, but sometimes even an owl can forget. I'm glad I didn't. It's like a good luck charm. I wish I was able to make something like it for you as well, but I am not the best with arts and crafts. I guess I better stick to trying to draw, huh?"
He ran his free hand through his hair for a moment, wondering what else he could say to try and make her feel better. Admittedly, Cecelia was dealing with it much better than he had. It had taken Damian longer to accept the fact that his parents were gone, and throughout the time before that he was confused and lost on what to do.
"You've been taking this a lot better than I did," he said. "That's kind of embarrassing, but I thought you should know."

She was right! It was okay if sometimes Damian forgot. Cecelia would even be okay with him not ever wearing it. It was a childish gift for him to give him. Making jewelry out of pretty pink shells was just a thing of the past. She felt if she made a bracelet then she could connect with her past self again. You know, taking a trip down memory lane. Hm... Well, I still like to make jewelry out of seashells~ Damian mentioned the bracelet being something like a good luck charm. Good luck charm, huh? Why didn't it save Kevin? Maybe it wasn't a very powerful charm.. "Nah, it's okay! I don't need anything like that, but I would gladly treasure it." Cecelia appreciated that Damian wanted to give her something back in return.
Their friendship was all she could ever want. She wanted it to last forever, even if they decided ruin their friendship and become something more. Yes, even if it didn't work out, they would still be best friends. "W-What! What do you mean try? I don't even think you try. You just go for it! You're great at drawing." Cecelia's smile faded a little bit when Damian said that she was taking it better than he did. What was that supposed to mean? Did it mean she was just good at handling death? Or, did Damian think she didn't care all that much about Kevin? Maybe it was different for them since Kevin was her friend and ex-boyfriend and Damian's parents, well, they were his parents.

Damian made a mental note to figure out something to give to Cecelia sometimes soon. Chances were it wasn't going to happen, but he could at least try, right? What sort of friend would he be if he didn't?
"Stop it," Damian blushed a bit. "Don't you know that artists abuse their work even if it's okay? It's just that we can be really picky."
The truth was that Cecelia had been taking all of it much better than he had. Even if it had only been a close friend, he wasn't sure if he would have been able to handle it like Cecelia. Of course, he hadn't seen the fiasco in the cafeteria when she had learned that Kevin had died.
"So how have you been holding up, anyway?"
