It was weird to find Haruki so far away from his twin. Riko usually was the one who ran off without him, actually. But the forest wasn't really the place for her to be. She wasn't a half-blood, and if she hung out in the forest a lot people might think it was weird for her to be there and not shifting into whatever animal she was. Or maybe the blue eyed twin was just too paranoid about his sister.
It was weird that Haruki was a half-blood and Riko wasn't. She never complained about, in fact, Riko seemed to like playing with Haruki when he turned into a kitten while they were younger. It was probably because of Riko that Haruki never developed any hatred for humans, even though they hated his kind. And he really cared about her. Ever since he had come here he had been worried about her safety. What if somebody found out she was human?
Would Haruki loose her? He wouldn't be able to live like that. He and Riko were like two halves of a whole; they needed to be together to become a full person. Without the other...Haruki always felt a bit empty.
The young teen shifted into his cat form, a young cream and white tabby with blue eyes, and absentmindedly scampered up a tree to rest in one of the branches. Up here he always found it easier to think.

The tiger half-blood was laying on a branch lazily just a few feet away from the cat. He opened his eyes lazily and looked at it. He let out a loud growl to show he was there. The dead deer was laying simply at his side. He took a bite out of it and let out a louder growl.

Haruki jumped up as he heard a growl nearby. Somehow he hadn't noticed the smell of dead deer while he climbed up, and hadn't even paid attention to the tiger who had been partly concealed by branches. As soon as he spotted the tiger, however, Haruki wasted no time in scrambling down the tree and starting to run away. The tiger was kind of making it pretty clear he was dangerous and hostile. Negotiations weren't something Haruki was soon keen on trying, and he certainly didn't want the tiger to know who he was. The last thing he needed was a tiger on his trail, or possibly on Riko's.

The tiger ran down the tree and easily matched the pace of the cat. He ran in front of it and stopped, hoping to block the cat. He shifted to human from, where he put on his metal claws which he stored safely in his bag. "Hey, no need to be afraid of me, or the claws. I've never hurt another living soul with these claws.

Haruki skidded to a halt, hissing and refusing to revert to his human form. He didn't like this guy. Of course, he never was the most trusting guy in the world, but something about the tiger creeped him out even more. For one, he feasted on deer meat, as opposed to just eating as a human in the cafeteria. Something was off about that. Why have claws in the first place if you aren't going to use them.
In his cat form it was easy to scent the metallic smell of the claws...but it was the metal kind of metallic smell...it was the smell of blood he had tried to wash away.
"Liar," he hissed, still in his young cat form.

He stared at the cat with a dangerous look in his eyes. He put the claws in his bag and shifted to a tiger. He ran after Haruki and said, "You can't outrun a tiger, so don't even try to run!" He quickly attempted to pounce on him and pin him down.

Haruki swerved to the side, avoiding the large paws of the tiger, which could have crushed his spine as a cat, before ignoring the warning and scampering into the undergrowth. Given his small size, it would be easy for him to maneuver through it, but the tiger would get his legs tangled in the thick shrubbery. Even then it wasn't going to take too long for him to be able to catch up. The cream tabby kept on running, finding an opening in a log that would be too small for the tiger to get him in. He darted inside, curling up as far away from the entrance as possible.

Logan fell to the ground as he missed his attack. He quickly got up and bolted after the cat, but was slowed down by the shrubbery. Once he got to the cat he watched as it ran into the log. Logan cursed under his breath. He shifted to human form and summoned all his strength, and lifted up the log so the cat would slide out.

Haruki clung to the log using his claws. Frankly he thought that the tiger-guy was kind of stupid for making that move. Didn't he know that cats could cling tightly to many surfaces, particularly wood and things that were easier to latch onto. The cat pressed his body closer to the wood, wondering when the guy would call it quits. Even when at the moment he had the upper hand, Haruki wasn't one to taunt his enemies. It seemed that Logan had anger issues already, and he didn't want to push the limits so far. But he still had to ask...
"What's wrong with you?" he asked. "So maybe I pissed you off, but don't you think this is a little bit overkill?"

Logan dropped the log, and kept replaying what Haruki just said over and over again. "You're right." He finally said. "I'm sorry. You can come out, and I won't hurt you, I swear." He took off his claws and threw them to the side, to prove he won't hurt him.

Haruki waited a moment, after hearing the clank of metal on the ground, before creeping out of the end of the log that was farthest from Logan. He waited a minute before completely exposing himself, watching Logan carefully and checking for any signs of hostility. It was then that he decided to reveal his human form, shifting into the blonde haired, blue eyed boy he usually was. His ponytail had become more loose than he liked it, so he took it out and started fiddling with it before tying his hair up again.
"You're insane, you know that?"

"Yes, I know I'm insane, but I'm insane because of my past." He said. "By the way, I'm Logan, Logan Marshall. And just to creep you out I'll have you know I have an insane brother who also stays here, and, he has claws also."

"Thanks," Haruki muttered sarcastically. "I feel soo much better after knowing there's two of you." He wasn't planning on making up with this guy, or shaking hands with him. Gathering from the way he had acted and the scent on his claws, there were probably bloodstains on them.
"Haruki," he said simply, exposing his name just to get it over with. Despite this, however, he kept his distance from Logan.
