Ah, the relief! The snow leopard purred as she curled up in the snow under an overhanging cliff. The wind blew over the mountain and swirled the snow outside, but she was warm and safe in her natural habitat. Although Half-Bloods should hate the Government, their gift of more land was greatly appreciated. Even though it was just for more Half-Bloods to come so they wouldn't have to worry about the half-human-half-animals in their own land. She didn't notice another furry, arctic animal approach until they were right outside the entrance to her small cave. The dreary Claire lifted her head and smiled groggily. "Hello?"

The polar bear walked over to the snow leopard. After hearing it talk, he knew it was a half-blood. He walked over to her. "Hi!" He said. "Isn't this place amazing? Finally I can just relax in my animal half's natural habitat."

Claire yawned and smacked her lips. "Yeah, great. The mountains were even a little warm, and here it's perfect; you want to be warm, because you get too cold!" She smiled, then narrowed her eyes against the bright white snow. "I almost forgot what it felt like to be cold. I like it, you know? Like, to not be too warm, I mean. And snow is hard to get under aw now that the HBES checks everyone for traces of animal blood so you can't travel by plane to get to a colder environment." Claire shrugged and moved over so that the polar bear could come into the cave if he wanted. "I'm Claire. You might have, uh, heard me at the announcement the other day."
