Ambrosia walked though the forest, still in her human form while twisting a strawberry-blonde plait around her finger absentmindedly. Leaning against a tree, the ten-year-old morphed into a black wolf cub and trotted along, pretty glad that Kevin was a wolf and wolves were protective of younger wolves. Scoring her claws down a tree trunk, she lay down with her back to the cool bark and closed her eyes until she heard a noise. Ambrosia's blue eyes shot open and she looked around, eyes scanning the undergrowth. "I'm gonna get you!" She yelled playfully at nobody in particular.

Damian watched silently from the trees, high up as he usually liked to hang out there. He had been sitting there already when Ambrosia came around and started to play. The owl half-blood hadn't even bothered with going back to owl form as he gazed at the wolf-cub thoughtfully. Being silent was an owl's talent, so Damian hadn't worried much about being spotted. Besides, the girl had been too busy with her games to even look up to where the teen was perched.
"I'm gonna get you!" She wasn't looking in Damian direction at all. Quite the opposite to be honest. The teen figured she was just playing around with nobody in particular and decided to make his presence known. He glided down from the tree, making no noise except the one thump when he landed right behind the wolf-cub.
"I think you'll find that a bit difficult, since I was in a tree, and you are hunting in the bushes," he remarked, cracking one of his signature smirks.

Ambrosia slightly jumped as she heard Damian's slight thud as he landed. Swatting at him playfully, she bounced around and patted Damian's feathers, ruffling them. "See? I told you I'd get you!" She said playfully at him, then turned around and bounced away from him.

Damian snorted a bit and knelt down so he could be the same height as Ambrosia in her wolf-pup form. Needless to say, it was adorable. Damian couldn't resist patting the wolf-pup on the head. "When you're like that you're pretty cute," he commented, smirking again. With that, the teen shifted to his owl form and shot up into the air to disorientate the wolf half-blood. When he was out of sight, he silently made his way behind her and this time landed without a sound.
"Whoo," he hooted, figuring it was close enough to a "Boo" to translate pretty easily. He shifted back to his human form and sat with his back leaning against a tree, the playful glint in his eyes shining. "Watcha doing out here alone, anyway? Couldn't find anyone to play with?"

Ambrosia looked up at Damian and tried to climb the tree, but... well... wolves don't climb trees. She kept on falling down and finally gave up, collapsing, laughing and puffing at the same time. "I was bored!" She yelled up at the owl half-blood, bouncing on her paws. Turning back into her human form, she twisted a strawberry-blonde plait around her finger again and leaned on the tree that Damian was sitting on. "What are you doing here, mister?" She said playfully.

Damian's grin grew wider as Ambrosia tried to reach him. "I'm usually here. It's quiet, and a good place to think," he explained, peering down from his perch. "It's better than waiting for something to happen inside. Too stuffy." And it was colder outside. Damian liked the cold more than most, since a Snow Owl's natural habitat was usually, well, snowy.
"Was there anything in particular you actually wanted to do?"

"Ok. At least you have a logical answer." Ambrosia said, sitting down under the shade of the trees and fingering her necklace. "I think I just wanted to... y'know, get away from the crowd? Exercise my animal form?" Sighing, she half-closed her eyes and peered up at Damian. "Hey," She protested. "Don't laugh at me!" She playfully flung up a rock at him and smiled as it hit Damian's knee. Laughing, she stumbled away and morphed into a wolf cub, bounding away from the clearing.
