@taytay
Hunter had been walking alone in the forest, in all honesty avoiding the other students. He was a more quiet type for sure. He had come in at the school yesterday and slipped past all the groups of people, practically making himself invisible to any other scholars at the academy. To his knowledge, nobody even knew he was there, and that was fine by him.
The only reason he was here was because he had nowhere else to go. He didn't have any family, and was too afraid to try and act human. He didn't have ears or a tail, but the way he carried himself was strange enough for people to take notice. His dark hair was a bit odd, but somehow it attracted less attention than his attitude did.
The red-head stopped for a moment, looking around and checking to see if anyone was there. He thought he had heard something, but his senses were noticeably weaker while human and it was harder to tell. His green eyes darted around a bit longer, and he waited for whoever he had heard to step out of the shadows.

Cecelia was just walking by and spotted a boy in the corner of her eye. She turned to the boy and added a little spring to her step, walking towards him. "Hello~" she said with a friendly wave of her hand in greeting. The girl looked at him from head to toe and she circled the boy, studying him closely. "Hm... I haven't seen you around here before. Are you new?" That was cool! They needed some new faces around the academy, anyway. Cecelia waited patiently for the boy to introduce himself to her. It was kind of funny that they both had bright red hair except Hunter's was a little darker than hers. "Oops! My bad. I'm Cecelia but everyone calls me Cece for short." she introduced herself to him with a sweet smile on her face. Honestly, she wished the boy was a girl so she could make another girl friend. She had way too many guy friends for her liking. Three to be exact, and she had maybe one or two girl friends. "Welcome to Animalia Academy. You can ask me questions but I think the person that could have the most accurate answers would be Claire Blakely. She is the student council president and she's also a doctor. I wonder how she can manage being a student, the student council president, and a doctor for the students."

Hunter raised an eyebrow a bit as the bubbly redhead popped into his line of sight. She was a bit too noisy for the older teen. "I'm Hunter," he introduced himself, not really wanting to put any more effort into the rather one-sided conversation than he had to. Something about her bothered him; probably just that she was too nice. That always bothered Hunter a bit. For him it seemed that when people were too nice they were either pretending to try and make him lower his guard, or they were hiding something else. Perhaps it was genuine here, but Hunter could definitely be a bit too paranoid for anyone's good.
"I can find my way around fine, thanks," Hunter replied, adjusting his glasses so he could see a bit better. Why he needed glasses, being a halfblood, was beyond him, but for some reason in human form his eyes weren't the best.
In all honesty the teen had half a mind to tell Cecelia to be a bit more quiet but he kept his mouth shut. Being quiet and distant was one thing, being outright rude was another.

Wow! He even has green eyes like mine. He could be like the brother I never had! Cecelia was getting a bit excited about the boy. They could easily be mistaken for siblings. Wouldn't it be ironic if they ended up having a sister and brother relationship? Not sure about the boy but Cecelia would love to have a friend as the brother she never had. She didn't like being the only child, although, it saved her from all the teasing and arguing with her other half. It was still very lonely, and she didn't like being alone. "Nice to meet you, Hunter." Cecelia looked a bit disappointed to hear that Hunter could get around just fine. Oh, well. It was good that he could get around without getting lost. "Oh, okay then~ If you don't mind me asking, what is your animal half?" Her fake animal half was the red fox that she made up a reason for. She would say that she had fox DNA in her but not enough to transform. But, she had to be cautious around fox half-bloods. They could probably sense another fox whether she didn't have enough fox DNA to transform. They would figure out she was a human if she didn't smell like a fox.

"I'm a red fox," Hunter answered. It briefly occurred to him how ironic his name was since foxes were often the hunted, but he dismissed the thought quickly since it didn't matter that much to him. He had noticed the similarities in appearance between him and Cecelia, though the shade of green and red she had was much more normal and believable. Though half-bloods that looked completely human were less common, they were around. Hunter wouldn't be surprised if Cecelia's half-blood animal was related to his own.
"And you? What is your animal half?" he asked, only half-interested. His hands were still in the pockets of his dark brown jeans as he waited for an answer. Why he had bothered actually involving himself in said conversation was a bit beyond him, but perhaps it was for the better. Eventually he was going to have to get involved with others, might as well get used to it now.

Hunter's answer worried Cecelia. I knew I shouldn't have asked! Now, I'm sure he'll ask me what I am as well. Okay, Cece. Keep cool.. You can do this. But, Hunter did look like a very smart fox. Ugh, Damian! You never told me what to do if I meet a fox. That was supposed to be my fake animal half. The boy would be able to see right through her. "Um... It's kind of funny that I'm a fox, too~ Ha ha." Wow. Not only did they look kind of the same but they had the same animal half... or at least that was what Hunter would think. But, it was ironic that she picked the red fox as her cover up and that was what Hunter was. "I only have a little bit of fox DNA in me but not enough to transform into my animal half. I hope that makes sense. Yeah, I'm one of the unfortunate ones. Lucky me, huh?" Oh, come on! Hunter could see right through her. It was obvious that she wasn't going to get away with it unless Hunter was the type of person to trust a stranger so easily.

Hunter narrowed his eyes at Cecelia. She was lying. He just had a feeling. He knew that at least she wasn't a fox. She didn't have the correct aura...the combination of scent and attitude. She said she didn't have enough animal DNA but...that never happened before. "That's not possible," Hunter replied, becoming increasingly suspicious of Cecelia. He could tell she was nervous. As soon as he said that he was a fox the smile on her face had shifted to one that seemed rather forced.
"You're lying to me," Hunter stated. "I can tell." But just what was she lying about? It didn't make sense for anyone to lie about what type of animal they were. Everyone was usually rather proud of their animal half. Even the animals that some might consider "embarrassing" were admitted proudly. The only reason you would lie about what animal half you had was if...
...you didn't have one at all.
Hunter's eyes widened in realization. He staggered back a bit, the emotions on his face a mix of fear and anger. "You aren't- you can't be-" he started. "You're human, aren't you?"

Oi. Hunter just had to point it out like it was. He made her feel like a bad person when he said that. Cecelia never liked lying especially if it was about herself. She knew that she couldn't keep on lying otherwise it would get worse. Hunter's green eyes widened and that's when she knew. Hunter had figured out that she was a human. Should I just go ahead and say that I'm a human? Or, should I try to squeeze my way out of this? Lying was an obvious road she couldn't go down. She should've sugarcoated it first so she would still be able to go down the road of lying. There was only one option and that was to tell Hunter. Or, she could run away and worry about it for the rest of her days at the school. "Y-Yes, but I'm not like the others. I love half-bloods. I think they are pretty cool~!" Come on... Hunter had to fall for it. He had to believe her and start things over fresh. It was just wishful thinking. Cecelia really wanted to be Hunter's friend whether he told people or not.

Hunter gritted his teeth, shaking his head. "You're all the same," he hissed. "You kill because it's fun, because you think we all are monsters." Humans killed each other. It was like a game to them. Life wasn't precious enough to everyone. His parents had been killed right in front of his eyes, and that was before the attacker even knew that they were halfbloods. Hunter's dad had been the only half-blood there, and the killer had been surprised to find that he was fighting one. Of course that made the joy of the kill so much greater.
"You don't just hunt us," Hunter went on. "You kill your own kind!" Hunter could feel his fox nature taking over, giving him the option to fight or flee the scene. Hunter wasn't a fighter. He would defend himself but only against somebody who possessed an immediate threat, and Hunter would make sure she didn't.
"Stay away from me!" he shouted, shifting into his fox form and starting to run away.

Cecelia stood there with her eyes widened in shock. Her eyes softened and she looked down at the ground. I don't know why I'm surprised. I knew that eventually I would meet someone that hated humans so much that they can't trust any of them not even the good ones. She looked up at Hunter when he mentioned something about her killing because it was fun. It was true that the humans that were against half-bloods would kill them for fun as well. "I don't think you're a monster..." she said softly and watched Hunter. What was he going to do? If anything, Hunter made her feel like the monster and she didn't even do anything to harm the half-bloods. She kept their school a secret from her father, who was completely against half-bloods and thinking they would hurt his little girl. She kept the school a secret from everyone in the human world, and she cared for pretty much every half-blood in the school. Cecelia just stood there and watched Hunter turn into his fox form and run away. He told her to stay away from him so she did... She let out a sigh and started to head back to the school. I should've stayed in the human world. Everyone here would be better off without me especially Kevin, Adam, and Damian... All I did was hurt them even more than when I left this school.
