The dark spiky haired teen paused at the edge if the forest before shifting into his raven form and flew into the air with a caw. His beady black eyes looking down at the treetops below him. Taking in the woods and lake before finding a good place to perch on a tree branch and shifted halfway back to his human form. The only indication that he hasn't fully shifted was his large shining black raven wings draping on either side of his body letting the setting sun shine off of them as he perched with one leg balanced on the branch and the other hanging off of it in a lazy laid back manner but with excellent balance

Elijah often found himself out here. He was still trying to map out as much of the forest as he could; being able to know exactly where he was and where to go in a certain situation would definitely give him an advantage in a chase, or another scenario. He wouldn't just be able to shift as easily since leaving his crutches behind would leave him in worse shape than before. He limped around the clearing, pausing for a few moments here and there in order to take out his notebook and write down notes. He tapped his pencil against his chin once or twice before looking up, not expecting to see a teenager a few years older than himself dangling halfway on a branch.
He put his notebook away and smiled a bit, waving before setting his crutches down on a tree and shifting into his golden sparrow form. It was easy enough to tell this guy was also a bird half-blood, since he had wings, at least right now, anyway. As soon as he perched on the branch, Eli shifted again, finding it harder to balance when he couldn't use his legs all that much, but managing to stay on anyway.
"Watcha doing?"

He lifted his head to look at the younger boy from under his bangs. "Enjoying the sunset." He replied in a soft spoken tone. "May I help you with something!" He raised a brow. Shifting his wings to fold behind his back to give the guy more room. He eyes the crippled boy beside him. "So you think it wise to be up here in your state?" He questioned blankly

"Meh, if I fall I can shift again," Eli shrugged off the question without much effort. He wobbled on the branch for another moment before regaining his balance. "Or you could catch me, too, since you are here, y'know." Eli gave a smirk. "What, you worried about me after just meeting me? That's sweet." While Eli might be normally annoyed by somebody being worried about him because of his physical state, it wasn't the same here. The other guy was making an observation of what somebody might call Eli making a stupid decision.
"Got a name, bird boy number 2? I'm Eli."

He scuffed. "Hardly. Just making a comment about it don't mean I'm concerned." He looked away from him. "Yeah I got a name." He replied cooly and went silent as if he wasnt going to actually tell him his name. "Hayato Tokiya." He replied shortly looking up at the sky.

"Can't take a joke? Good to know," Eli huffed, blowing caramel blonde hair out of his face, though it just floated back down to where it was before. "So, I haven't seen you around before. I guess I haven't been here long enough, but I've still seen a lot of people. Are you new, well, newer here?"
(OH boy that got lazy. I'll try to be better next post xD)

He nodded. "I joined earlier today." he replied messing up his already spiky hair. "Haven't gotten 'round to meeting other people here. I'm sort of a antisocial guy." He replied

"Well we're gonna have to fix that," Elijah said. "No place for loners here. I'd say you're already making progress, talking to me. Or at least not trying not to talk to me." The teen swung around on his branch, propelling himself forward and shifting mid-air into a sparrow. He fluttered down to the ground and landed beside his crutches, using them to pull himself up and get balanced properly on them.
"Hey, not all of us can spend time up there in a tree as long," Eli joked. "Can you come down?"

The only reason I'm speaking to you right now is because we are birds of a feather. We are the same." He slid off the branch and plummeted down. Catching the wind with his large black wings enough for the impact to the ground be more gentler. He folded them back against his back before turning to look at the younger guy. "I know it is strange. But where I'm from kinship isn't felt just through blood. You and I are both from the heritage of the air. Therefore we are kin. Distant kin but kin no less. Even if we are born in different countries and families." He replied sticking his hands in his pockets and looked up at the sky.

Eli gave the older teen a strange look for a minute before shrugging it off. People could believe what they like, it wasn't his place to judge. "Then I guess you have a lot of family here. So far we don't have all that many bird half bloods, but they're pretty outgoing from what I've seen," Elijah replied. "I think...Damian? Is that his name? And Adam; Damian's a snow owl and Adam's a hawk."

He caught the strange look from the corner of his eye. He gave a barely there smile. He was used to people giving him weired looks an thinking him a weirdo for the way he talked in riddles and such. But that was what he was like. And that was why he didn't have friends if any at all. Because people didn't understand him. Even if others made the time to get to know him. No one could really understand the dark mysterious teen. "Then perhaps I will meet them later on in my stay here." He commented quietly
