Damian let out a deep breath as he stepped on the edge of the branch. It had been about a month and a half after the incident, and Damian had finally taken the cast off of his wing. His arm hadn't taken nearly as long to heal and already been off for three weeks, maybe a bit more. Damian had managed to get to a low branch, and was planing on gliding down to see if he could fly again.
"One...two...three!" he murmured to himself, running as far as the branch would let him without snapping. He leaped into the air, letting the snow owl within take over. He spread his white wings, letting them catch the air and he glided for a bit. If he was still in his human form he might have started smiling, but he wasn't, so that really wasn't an option.
He glided down for a moment or two before he realized he was tilting to the left. Maybe a bit too much to the left. He started loosing his balance and falling.
Maybe way too much to the left. Damian shifted back to his human form before crashing into the ground and did a couple accidental barrel rolls before he was stopped by a tree. He had been lucky his wings were splayed out in a way that they hadn't gotten hurt. Still, it would be rather embarrassing if somebody walked in on him like this. Currently his back and head were on the ground, giving him an upside down view of everything. And his legs were sticking up around either side of the tree.
SO he sat there, glaring at all the world for his bad luck. It didn't help that he could hear somebody walking closer.
