Angelica glanced up from the folder infront of her to look at the digital clock on her nightstand. Great it was early in the morning. Was she really up for hours without much sleep? Shaking her head the teen returned to looking at her medical file. Her tests an results and notes for her job in the hospital.
Rubbing her eyes the young woman sat up and hopped off her bed to go to her bookshelf and snatch up a unused sketch pad before grabbing pencils and eraser before hopping back to her bed where she proceeded to sketch whatever came to mind.
This was all she ever tended to do nowadays. All her friends where gone and busy with other friends while she stayed in her room or somewhere on the academy grounds alone. Groaning in frustration she stopped drawing and let her head fall on her pad with a frustrated sigh of defeat

Eli...well...he had gotten lost trying to get back to his dorm. It was too dark to see any nameplates on any of the doors, and even sparrows didn't have very good nighttime vision. So he was wandering around trying to find a dorm where nobody was snoring, and the lights were on. He had been pretty sure he had left his lamp on when he left. He had woken up early, as usual, though upon seeing nobody else was awake wanted to go back to his dorm. With his crutches, it made it considerably harder for him to keep quiet. So, he was even slower than usual.
He spotted a door with the lamp on inside and knocked quietly on it. He was pretty sure that his dorm was farther off, but had shrugged off the feeling. After not hearing a response he cracked open the door a tiny bit, peeking in slightly before he caught sight of somebody and blocked his view with the door.
"Ah! Sorry!" he apologized, trying to keep as quiet as he could. "I-I thought this was my dorm!" Eli stuttered a bit, feeling his face become red. He had just intruded on a girl's privacy. Was anything else worse than that?

She didn't hear the knock even with her keen wolf hearing so she was startled as well when a strangers voice spoke. She swirled around and hopped off her bed. Seeing who it was her face softened into a smile. "Oh well hi! It's alright. Yeah the boys dorms are across the hall." She chuckled. "Are you new here?" She asked opening the door wider to look at him. Her green eyes warm and friendly.

Eli slowly lowered his hand from covering his eyes, to covering his mouth, then dragged it off his face. From the appearance of Angelica, he was going to guess she was some sort of white furred...creature. Yes, really light blonde did sometimes happen, but it was rare, and at a school for half-bloods, it usually didn't mean that somebody got super lucky.
"I'm still pretty sorry," Elijah was still blushing and stuttering very slightly as he spoke. "It was dark and I couldn't see all that well. I guess I didn't wake you, that's a good thing." The young teen felt a hand self consciously start rubbing the back of his neck.
"I just got here yesterday," he answered. "Obviously you have been here a bit longer."

She giggled watching the younger boy stutter. She found it oddly endearing in a cute guy way. "That's alright! Yes I wasn't asleep obviously. Just couldn't sleep yeah know?" She chuckled. "Yes I'm the third person to join the academy so I'm an original. I'm Angelica by the way! Angelica Mason." She introduced. "You got her kinda late huh? I mean it's pretty early in the morning not many people if any wake up this soon." She glanced out her window.

"Sparrows wake up kind of early. You can hear them," Elijah answered, still rubbing the back of his neck, though the blush was slowly fading from his face. "I'm Elijah. Though people just call me Eli."
"What are you doing up so early, then? I don't get the usual early waker vibe from you. You seem more the type who would stay up late," Eli almost started to ramble. He was pretty observant without thinking, and usually was able to pick up more than others easily. "Uh, sorry. I tend to pick up more than everyone else."

Pleasure to meet you Eli'l she smiled. "And you can say the week hasn't been too great for me. I've been off kilter lately." She chuckled playing with her hair. "So your a sparrow huh? Cool I'm a Atctic wolf." She beckoned him in. "You don't have to keep standing there like that. You can come in I don't bite." She smiled

"Well, I wasn't exactly standing," Eli said, though he was still smiling. He had been hiding partly behind the door and wasn't quite sure if the arctic wolf half-blood had seen his crutches. She probably had. "More like leaning," he continued. "Much less exhausting." With that he made his way into the dorm, closing the door behind him and looking around the room. He felt kind of weird, standing/leaning in the middle of a girls room in the early morning.
"Nice room," he commented.

She smiled. "Thank you. It's designed to fit my animal half blood so if it too cold for you feel free to grab a blanket." She motioned to a blanket draped over a leather arm hair she had off to the corner both as an invitation to sit down. She sat down on her bed and examined his crutches. "If you don't mind my asking. What happened?" She asked tilting her head towards the supports he was on. "I work at the hospital on campus so being a doctor and all I'm quite curious."

"I don't mind. You were more polite about it than some other people, and half-bloods, I know," Eli assured her. "They were damaged in a car accident when I was six. I can feel them, and move them a bit, but the damage was too extensive for them to heal properly, so now I need crutches. I've gotten used to it though, don't worry," he explained briefly. Though his ability to actually feel his legs was now limited, he still could. His baggy jeans covered the fact that they were a bit more skinny than other peoples legs.
"So you're a doctor, huh? I don't really have any experience in that field, despite what I've been through," Elijah commented, grinning a bit again. "I'm more of a tech genius. I'm pretty good with computers."

She smiled sympathetically at his story. She didn't know how it was to be crippled like that. Her own parents had died in a car accident when she was littler though. She sighed. "Well at least you have wings to balance you it." She smiled. "Yes I'm a doctor. Still training but I am one." she giggled. "You seem like a nerd." she shook her head. "And don't think it's an insult. Nerds are geniuses so in truth it's a compliment."

"I wish I had wings while I was human," Eli commented. "Guess we can't get everything, though." If he could, he would probably kick a rock right now.
"What's that supposed to mean?!" he shouted, pretending to be angry when he heard Angelica's comment about him being a nerd. "Nerds are the guys who study the superhero comics, and geeks are basically the fanboys who have seen all the episodes AND comics. I'm just the hacker...with admittedly a bit of nerd in there too..."

She scowled at him and pointed a finger. "Don't make me hospitalize you and bedridden you mister. Trust me, I'm a doctor." She threatened playfully.

"You can't do that anyway!" Eli countered playfully. "There isn't anything that will help my legs, and being bedridden will make it harder to walk. I just gotta work 'em out as much as I can, try to build any muscles and strength in that area that I can."
"And you aren't the right kind of doctor, anyway." Eli was now looking quite pleased with himself. "This is your area of expertise."

She rolled her eyes. "Whatever." She grumped crossing her arms and looking awhile with a child like pout but smiling. "Anyways. Have you look around the campus yet?" She asked

"A bit," Eli shrugged. "Dorms, some of the forest, uh...the bus stop...and the cafeteria. I guess not too much. It's uh, kind of a teeny bit harder for me to get around, but really it's just that I have only been here for a day."

She nodded. "I see." She smiled. "That's ok everything can be seen in due time." She replied cheerily.

"I plan on it," Elijah commented. "I like knowing my way around." Elijah liked knowing where things were and what was going on. He was usually pretty resourceful since he liked to keep himself updated and well informed. It was one of his strengths, maybe because he couldn't do much else. During the time where halfbloods were getting killed left and right, Eli had made sure he and his dad stayed safe by tracking the government without them even knowing.

She nodded understandingly. "So I'm guessing you haven't met people then?" She asked curiously

"Haven't met people?" Eli echoed. "Of course I have. Kevin, Shawn, and you, so far. Know any of those guys?"

She smiled. "I'm one of the first people to have joined this academy Eli. I practically know everyone except like Shawn and one other person." She chuckled

"Oh really?" Eli smirked a bit. Earlier today three new arrivals had popped up, and he was certain he hadn't seen Angelica talk to any of them. He had talked a bit with Kohana, and before leaving had spotted her talking to the twins who had come. "What about Kohana? And those twins? Did you meet them? I didn't see you there."

She shook her head. "No. I've been busy. Just because I'm one of the oldest people here and oldest member doesn't mean I know everyone." She scowled at him. "Honestly don't ye think I got other things to do?"
