It was Taylor's second day at the school meant for half bloods just like her. It was called Animalia Academy, and it was a little bit too much just for them. The teachers were probably doing a nice thing for the students and making them feel special. But, what if they wanted to be normal? Normal people that go to normal looking schools. Animalia Academy could be a palace! Honestly, Taylor thought it was unnecessary for the students to have all of things that were just given to them right off the bat. She was the new girl, so she was just settling down into the school. When the last class of the day was over, Taylor went straight to what caught her attention earlier that morning. The track field! It was so pretty, and the girl couldn't wait to start running on the track. She was going to run on that track early in the morning and right after school. First, Taylor made a stop in the girls' bathroom to change into a different set of clothes. The girl hummed happily as she made her way to the track field with her gym bag that held her school clothes in it. She opened up her bag and took out a ponytail holder to fix her caramel brown hair up into, well, a ponytail. Taylor set her bag on the bottom bleachers and nodded with approval that she was ready to start working up a sweat. It wasn't all about keeping fit, because she already got that from the food she ate which was berries, salads, and things like that. It was just about running and feeling free from everything and music had that effect on her as well. Taylor whipped around and started heading over to the starting line of the track.

Alec had heard that Animalia Academy had a track field by the back end of the main building. After classes, he decided that he would check it out and maybe even get a few laps in before curfew. Alec was a fast runner, having a slender, wiry body and long limbs. It wasn't that he wanted to show off or get better, more of that he enjoyed the simple feeling of it. The moment when everything didn't matter, just the slap of his shoes against the ground and the rapid beating of his heart. His weasel half was responsible for that. Weasels were known to be fast and elusive, hard to catch. Most of those traits passed into his human DNA, thus the liking for the sport.
The red-haired teen changed into a comfortable pair of shorts, running shoes, and a plain white t-shirt. Of course, he still refused to take off the pocket watch necklace that hung around his neck. He brought a gym bag with extra clothes to change into, a towel, and a water bottle. Alec planned to stay for the rest of the day just racing along the track. What he didn't expect when he got there was a girl who appeared to have the same idea. Alec set his bag down on the lowest bench and approached the girl, grinning. "Hey, I'm Alec. You here to run?" He greeted good-naturedly.

Taylor stopped to talk to the boy that got her attention. That was strange for someone to randomly walk up and start talking to her. But, she forgot that some students don't treat the fresh meat as bad as the popular kids. A smile appeared on her face as she realized that there was someone else that liked to run for fun. It was just the feeling of running and never stopping. You keep on going and going until you decide to stop and then you realize that you are lost. The track field was there for everyone. "Hello. It's nice to meet you, Alec. I'm Taylor Delane. I didn't think anyone would be here since most people want to go back to their dorm or hang out with friends after school is done for the day. It's like they can't stand to stay in school any longer than they have to on a regular basis." Taylor blushed with embarrassment and twirled her ponytail nervously. It was odd for her to start rambling on about something especially with someone she just met. Running was fun for her, and she was passionate about it, so maybe that was why she was running her mouth. Her green eyes glanced over at the starting line of the track, and she really wanted to get away from Alec before she made a fool out of herself again. "A-Anyway, I'm just going to be running a few laps around the track, so I'll be out of your way now."
