@taytay
Cody was walking. Just walking. He still had his hood over his head, a bit of a habit he had adopted after the weird looks he got due to his hair. His hands were shoved in his pockets, as he didn't exactly have anything to do with them at the moment. Once of twice he had considered transforming into his ferret form, but had decided against it. As much as he would have liked to be able to change once again, most, if not all, of the other half-bloods around were larger than him. He was a bit smaller than others, seemingly more meek as well, but if anyone had bothered to take notice of him, they would have found he was not as helpless as his appearance may have implied.
Cody let out a sigh, blowing a loose strand of white hair in a seemingly bored manner. For a moment he wondered why his hair had decided to be the same color as his ferret form's fur, but dismissed the thought. It didn't really matter that much anyway, and it seemed to happen to the other half-bloods with animal characteristics anyway.
The young teen was jolted into reality as he heard a sound from nearby. He forced himself not to scatter away as his ferret nature wanted to, but still visibly tensed. He looked around, eyes narrowed, trying to find the one who had made the sound.

SNAP! The girl let out a sigh of defeat and glanced down to see what she had stepped on. It was a stick. Why was it always a stick!? The girl transformed into her animal form, which was a red panda, and she ran past the boy to climb up a tree that was somewhat in front of him. The red panda climbed up to a low but strong branch and laid down on it. The red panda was like everyone else. She was a half blood, and her name was Taylor. Regular animals would call her Leika and that was her middle name. Taylor looked down at Cody, letting her ringed tail hang off the edge of the branch. Her small, pointy ears twitched with amusement and there was a playful glimmer in her honey brown eyes. The boy was cute, but what the heck was going on with his hair? It looked like silver but it could've been snow white. Was he an albino or something? "You were pretty observant when you heard that stick snap, huh? That's always good especially if a human could enter the school. DUN DUN DUN! Ha ha~ Just kidding." She turned into her human form and flipped herself upside down on the branch to come face to face with the boy. "Hi! My name is Taylor. As you can see, I'm a red panda. What's your name?"

Cody whipped around, his blue eyes following the red panda intently, still tense and prepared to run away if necessary. He had looked up to see where she had perched in the tree, accidentally letting his hood fall a ways back, just enough for her to catch a glimpse of his hair, though he hadn't noticed it quite yet.
He had calmed down a bit, realizing this was obviously another half-blood. Why and if she had been following him, he didn't know, but he supposed it didn't matter. She was here.
As the girl started to ramble, Cody felt one eyebrow raising up. Before he had the chance to respond he realized some of his hair was uncovered, and had quickly pulled up the hood in an attempt to cover it, a small blush forming on his face for just a moment.
"C-cody," he replied, stammering slightly. He hadn't been one for talking that much before, and being approached so quickly had admittedly scared him a bit, however much he hadn't looked like it.

Taylor giggled to herself as Cody tried to hide his white hair with his hood. Or, he was just being shy and trying to hide his face from her. "Oh, c'mon! You don't have to be shy with me." She could still see his hair because she was practically looking from underneath him. Why was he embarrassed about his hair, anyway? Taylor had to admit that his hair was strange when she first saw it, but then she started to think it was pretty cool. She had never seen anyone with hair like that. Her green eyes sparkled with excitement when the boy told her his name. Taylor lifted herself up but her legs gave in, and she fell down to the ground. It was a good thing she fell on her butt and not head first. "Ow..." Yes, she did that several times, but she fell every time as well. She rubbed it where it hurt the most from the fall, and she rose up to her feet. Taylor brushed off her clothes with her hands and blushed with embarrassment. "A-Anyway, that's a nice name you have there. Tell me. Does your animal form effect your human form? Mine doesn't. Physically, I mean." Taylor's human form was a fourteen year old girl with a slender frame, caramel brown hair, and Peridot green eyes. They call her red panda form a cat bear, because it's slightly bigger than the domestic cat and it has a bear-like body. Her belly and limbs would be black. She had honey brown eyes, reddish brown fur, and white markings on her face. She also had rings on her tail that were darker shades of russet.

Cody let out a sigh. He had been pretty sure that trying to hide his hair was a futile attempt, but after she asked, he was pretty sure it was obvious. He pulled down his hood, exposing what was left of his hair. "Just my hair," he admitted. He was more nimble and agile than most other half-bloods as well, but details like those nobody really cared about. He had flinched a bit when Taylor fell, and before he had the chance to try and help her up, she had already picked herself from the ground.
"You okay?" he asked.

Taylor put her hands on her hips and frowned when Cody sighed. Did she say something wrong? Her frowny face expression changed, and she gazed at the boy's hair as if it was a miracle. Her hand started to move forward to touch Cody's hair, but she pulled away in time so things wouldn't be awkward. "I think your hair is beautiful. Why were you trying to hide it underneath that hood of yours?" His hair was so white and pretty. She wondered if it was really real, which made her want to attempt to reach out and touch it again. Wait! He told me it was just his hair. I almost forgot why I wanted to know that. "I bet I could guess your animal form!" Taylor shook her head and shrugged off the question. "Yeah, yeah. I'm fine. I want to guess what your animal form is! Okay... Polar bear?"

Cody had flinched again and backed away as Taylor almost tried to touch it. "Don't," he said quietly. The teen looked away as Taylor asked why he hid it.
"Nobody else really liked it. It's weird," he explained briefly, keeping out the details about him getting bullied around for it as well. The young teen felt a small smirk tugging at the corners of his lips when Taylor tried to guess what he was.
"Ah...no," he answered, rolling his eyes. At this rate the girl was never going to get it.

Taylor knew that would be inappropriate, but she was just curious about his hair. It was so pretty! Maybe Cody thought differently about it. Her frown returned back to her face, and she shook her head in disappointment. "So what if nobody likes it? You like it, don't you? Then, it shouldn't matter what other people think." Taylor never thought of it as a bullying way. But, she should know since she was bullied by the popular girls before. It was kind of funny. She could stand up for other people but she couldn't stand up for herself. "Aw, not a polar bear? Um... Are you a snowshoe cat or any white cat for that matter? Are you a wolf?"

Cody averted his gaze to the ground again. "You like it, don't you?" He couldn't say he did like his hair. It was too...different. Maybe it had even helped the humans find him and his brother. It seemed like a more likely reason than any. Boys didn't pop up with white hair like he did. Even people who were albino didn't have the more pure white and silver tone that was in Cody's hair. He decided on simply not answering, avoiding Taylor's green gaze.
"No." Yeah. It was official. Taylor was never going to guess his animal form. "White ferret."

Taylor frowned and studied Cody as he shifted his gaze to the ground. The boy was probably shy and a bit antisocial. That was okay with her. She kind of hoped to become friends with him. "Aw! I was sure that I was right on that one." She really thought he was a snowshoe cat. Eh... I guess I just hoped he would be a snowshoe cat. I think they are adorable! But, what animal was he then? "I know! I know! You're a swan- Wait what? Oh, you're a white ferret. Ha ha~ Well then, I wasn't even close to guessing that. Ha ha~"

Cody couldn't help but smile a tiny bit as he heard Taylor ask if he was a swan. He would never be able to see himself as a swan. A cat, maybe, but even then it was a stretch. He felt as though his animal side represented his personality quite well...or possibly the other way around. Cody had always wondered if your animal half was determined by your personality, or the other way around. And then you had to take account of your genetics as well, and it got rather confusing. He liked to think of it as a combination of the three theories.
Remembering that was a conversation that was trying to take place at the moment, Cody stopped staring at the ground and made himself look back at Taylor. She was definitely a curious type. Cody wasn't exactly sure what to make of her. Whimsical was a word he would use to describe her, followed closely by bubbly and energetic. She also seemed rather random, to be honest. Where the heck had swan come from, anyway? He had hair, not feathers.
With an awkward cough, Cody tried to keep the conversation going on. "Watcha doing out here, then?"

Taylor was giving it all she could to find out Cody was actually a white ferret. She felt so dumb when he told her what he was. Of course... Now, I get it. But, she couldn't really put it into words how she figured out where she went wrong with the whole guessing thing. Good thing Cody finally gave in and told her. If he didn't, Taylor would keep on guessing and guessing and guessing. Eventually, she would get to it but not fast enough. "Hm? You know, I think I have forgotten my reason for coming out here. Oh, well~ So, what are you doing out here? Well, for whatever reason I had to come out here, I'm glad I did because I got to meet you." Aw, how could you even dare to think of resisting her at that moment? That was so sweet of her to say that, but she was just speaking her mind. She was enjoying Cody's company, and she hoped he felt the same since she kind of interrupted his walk or whatever he was doing before she revealed herself to him as a red panda.

Cody shrugged a bit. In all truthfulness he had almost been hoping to get away from everyone else. His brother was pushing him to interact more, but for some reason Cody found it harder to. He envied Alec sometimes. He was just so carefree around everyone, and then Cody was just...lonely. In human schools, he rarely was able to interact with anyone other than Alec, and since his brother was still three years older than he was, it was hard for them to get together that often. He was picked on a lot, so the teen had taken more to running away and hiding, as opposed to fighting back. The habits stuck with him, even in a place where the risk wasn't as high.
Taylor didn't need a sob story. Heck, most of the time Cody lied to Alec about his school days, though the weasel half-blood knew more about what was going on than Cody ever told him. Cody was pretty confident that Taylor wouldn't be so perceptive, however.
"Er...thanks," he added when he realized that the red panda half-blood had essentially complemented him. He hunched his back a bit, lowering his head so that his ears were at his shoulder level. Times like these he really wished he could just hide in his jacket.

The brunette studied Cody and the body language he was telling her without words. From what she could read, Cody wasn't comfortable around her and he probably wasn't used to being around people like her. It was like he wanted to be left alone. That wouldn't be a problem for Taylor, but wouldn't it be lonely? Taylor hated being alone for several reasons. But, if that's what the boy wanted, then she would leave. She smiled and said, "No problem. Well, I guess I'll let you go now. See you around!" Taylor waved at Cody before she shifted into her red panda form, which she preferred her panda form over her human form. Mostly because her panda form was so cute and cuddly!

Cody looked up as Taylor announced she was going to leave. As soon as she started to, he reached out without realizing it. "Wait!" For some reason he didn't want to be alone. This was probably the longest anyone other than his family had talked to him. He pulled his hand back, realizing she was already gone, and hesitated for a moment. He kept staring and the path she had raced onto, internally debating whether to follow. Eventually, he started running, shifting into a ferret after a moment. The chase was on.
