Things had gone smoothly at the concert. Opal had made her statement, no one she cared for had been injured, and everyone had no excuse as to why they had broken the new rules. She planned on refurnishing the academy to make it more of her own very soon. But an assassin queen has duties, and promises to hold up to. Opal hoped with all her heart that the lies she fed Cece would hold up. If she refused to let Cece see Damian, that could result in Cece's rebellion. That could be dangerous. Probably. About a mile out from where the secret underground entrance to her base was, Opal paused her silent treading through the forest and turned to Cecelia, mask still on, but eyes much more kind. "I'm still not at the total trust stage here," she began, eyes wandering, keeping the lie that she cared going. "So you have two options: One, I gas you and drag you in. Two, you go blindfolded as I pull you to the entrance. It's up to you."

Cecelia walked with the lethal assassin into the forest. Opal wanted to show her the secret base for some reason. Had she really gained Opal's trust to infiltrate the secret base? The human girl wasn't sure what her feelings were. Her brother had been killed by this woman. He was a human, though! It didn't make sense. Cecelia tried not to get wrapped up in it since she knew that it could be like the movies. Did Opal really give her all the information? Was all the information true? That Damian had killed her father and wanted to get close to her to kill her..?
It kind of added up as well. Damian slaughtered her father and then Cecelia happened to find herself at the wrong school.... And instantly he offers her his help. It could have been that he was nice but... she had to be careful. With Opal or with Damian. They came to a stop and Opal had turned to Cece. Oh, so Opal didn't trust her fully. Opal gave her options. Different ways to enter the base.
"Uh.. Blindfolded, please. That doesn't sound as bad as the other one." she replied and frowned.

|I'm assuming we go to the door before Dami posts?|
Carefully, Opal nodded, slowly withdrawing a thick cloth from her pocket. Unfolding it, it became more of a mask than a blindfold, but it wasn't the gassing-mask - she was sure. Stepping around Cecelia, the assassin attempted to pull the hood over her almost-tricked ally's head, careful not to do anything to gruff or sudden. Then, stepping back, she thought for a moment - This is risky, her conscience reminded her. But she wasn't a monster - she hoped, at least - and she couldn't harm Damian. There was just this.... thing about him. Maybe it was because he was the only one that truly fought her questions, or maybe because she took too much pity on him for what she was doing. She trusts him more than me. I just have to hope that the lies I fed Cece don't cause too much trouble between Damian and I- Why do I care? Once again, this unguided thinking was giving her a headache, and so she gave in to her hopes and attempted to grasp Cecelia's hand, then guide her through the trees for the last stretch.

She remained calm as possible when Opal put the blindfold on her. Hm... It felt like more of a mask than a simple blindfold around the eyes and head. Then, it was securely put on her. Cecelia hesitated and opened her mouth slightly to protest as Opal took her hand and led her through the forest. It felt so strange holding hands with Opal but that was the only way Opal could lead her forward. There was a frown on her face and she tried to relax herself. The thoughts in her head weren't helping, though. Her heart was beating rapidly as they walked.
What was going to happen to her? Was it a trap? Was Opal telling the truth about Damian? Cecelia bit her lower lip hard and tried not to shed any tears. The happy memories flashed before her eyes, even the ones she wanted to forget the most. It made her heart nearly jump out of her chest, and her grip on Opal's hand grew a little tighter. Cecelia realized her grip had tightened and she released the pressure off Opal's hand. It was like Opal was walking a scared child through a haunted house.

The black-haired girl glanced down briefly at her own hand wrapped around Cecelia's. Yet again, her chest tightened at the idea of such cruel lies she had placed on the shoulders of these... people. Stay strong. Stay strong.... By letting the Cece squeeze her hand a little, Opal pretended not to notice. Finally, approaching a clearing, Opal slowed and finally stopped in front of... well nothing. The base was, Opal believed very well hidden. The trapdoor had even been fixed with a sod-cover that stayed on the door to make her life easier. "Hold on," Opal said to Cecelia, releasing her grip around the girl's hand and bending down to fumble around for the latch. Hopefully Damian's asleep... Opal thought suddenly, Or this could possible go downhill at alarming speeds. So Opal swung the door open, and prepared to lead Cecelia down the steps.... |Now would be the time for Randamir to respond |

Naturally, Damian had not tried escaping at all. Pff...of course not. He had not gotten up when Shadow had left and checked the lock on the door or the door itself for any weak spots. It was dumb for anyone to think that! Completely absurd! Ridiculous! ...of course he had tried all of that. He knew it was stupid to call out again- the place was soundproofed and even then he didn't want anyone to go looking for him at risk of being taken themselves. Shadow-
...no...
Opal. That was who she really was, no matter what she kept telling herself. Damian had seen that. Opal wasn't a good person, she had anger and hate and rage, but she was a person. She had a heart, no matter how twisted and messed up it was. Shadow was just a mask.
Opal had not harmed him since he got here. While they weren't on friendly terms, they had sort of reached a neutral point. He didn't trust her, and she probably didn't trust him, but they weren't hurting each other. Damian was still a prisoner, but it was better than a torture victim. He was just there as an insurance policy. Damian didn't like it or want to be there, but he had determined there wasn't a way out on his own, so he was stuck. It was confusing to him...what made him different? What had he done that made Opal think he was more than just an animal? Maybe she didn't think that, but either way, something had changed about the way she saw him from the first night they met and the second time in the hospital. He had met two different people. Shadow, then Opal. Whether it was accidental or not, soon Shadow had slipped away and left Opal by herself around him, and he didn't understand why. It confused him.
In any case he quickly became jumpy in the base. There wasn't all too much he felt at liberty to do. There were things to do and he had been told he could do those things but he didn't want to disturb the place. Besides, it wasn't really the boredom that was getting to him. It was the enclosed space. It wasn't tight but something about the air there seemed to press in around the owl half-blood. He had space to stretch his wings, as large as they were, but it wasn't enough. He wanted out. Damian needed to go back and warn everyone about Shadow, to show them he was okay and show Cecelia- oh god. She could be worried. He should have told somebody where he was going, how could he have been so stupid?!
The barely audible noise of the door opening scared Damian out of his thoughts and made him fall off the couch he'd been resting on in a very...ungraceful...manner. And with a loud thud. Ouch. "Who's there? I'm totally armed..!" YES. He was armed! With this completely dangerous....pen...yeah.

|From this post on what would you guys like the posting order to be?|
Why is he here? It was her heart asking her, imitating her brain. She couldn't quite understand it. They deserve each other. And I'm ruining them. "There's a staircase here so be careful," Opal said quietly, peeking in around the corner of the stair brace. Is this the right thing? She tried to take Cecelia's hand again, wincing slightly at Damian's noisy introduction. A slight wind flickered inside the base, and Opal shut the hatch promptly, sliding the lock into place right after. The black-haired girl turned back towards the bagged girl and her gaze flicked between the two lovers. "You can take off your blinds.... Cecelia."

Her pink lips parted several times in order to speak, but she held back with a slight grunt. What was it that she was trying to say..? Heck, she didn't even know herself. Shadow had tortured Damian and Damian was missing. Cecelia guessed that was what she wanted to ask about. She was also curious as to why Shadow wanted to show her the secret base. "There's a staircase here so be careful," "O-Oh.. Okay." she responded in a quiet voice and took her time going down the staircase. She almost tripped when she started to walk down the staircase faster. There was a grunt of frustration at the moment, and Cecelia continued on with Shadow further into the base. "Who's there? I'm totally armed..!"
Cecelia gasped and stopped walking and her green eyes opened. The blindfold hadn't been taken off yet she still stood there with wide eyes. Was she hearing things? Or, was it really him? Shadow had spoken and that frightened Cece, making her jump a little bit. Shadow told her she could take her blindfold off. Cecelia stood there for a moment and her hands shook as she reached up to her eyes. She closed her eyes and slipped the blindfold off, gripping it in her right hand. She inhaled and exhaled as calmly as she could but there was a hint of hesitation in her breathing. Her green eyes opened and she stared at Damian with wide eyes. The corner of her lips started to form into a smile... but it faded away quickly.
Cecelia walked up to the cell and looked over at Damian, who was laying on the couch with a pen. Her left eye twitched slightly in irritation. What the...? "Is it true?" she asked and her gaze turned into a harsh, cold glare. She started to pace back and forth and glance over at Damian every once in a while. "Why is it that everyone wants to keep secrets from me? Not only me, but they tend to lie to themselves..." The redhead turned to Damian and walked up to the cell once more.
"I should have known. It all makes sense. Who knows my father could have been responsible for your parents' death but I wouldn't know that. No one bothered to tell me anything. The only ones that would know would have been my father, my mother, and maybe even you. Is that why you wanted to save me from the others? For revenge? I need to know." Cecelia was calm but she reminded herself to sound stern and serious in her voice so that Dami knew she wasn't playing around. Although, it could be seen in her eyes that she really just wanted to get him out of there and hug him and never let go.
(Since I replied, how about Dami, Opal, and Cece? Does that sound good to you guys?)
EDIT: @damianwright (Oopsy! xD I thought I read the word cell in there somewhere or in Sunny's post. I guess not lol)

[[ SORRY IT'S LATE-- Also I don't think Damian's in a cell. It's just a pretty normal looking room which also means there is nothing protecting him from Cece if she gets angry enough hehe--. And he fell off the couch at the end of my last post too. It was long I don't blame you for not noticing. >v< ]]
Wait- what...? Cecelia? What was she doing here- Damian's eyes had widened when he heard her voice. For a while all he did was stare. She wasn't supposed to be there, she was supposed to be back at the Academy and hopefully safe. He didn't know that it wasn't really safe anymore- he couldn't know that, he'd been here the whole time. The odd thing, though, was that it didn't seem like Cecelia was a prisoner. She'd walked in, not been dragged in, and that puzzled the poor half-blood. She had come willingly...why...? Damian looked briefly at Opal, searching her face for an answer but soon gave up. He gave a sigh of relief as he stood up.
"Thank god you're s-" "Is it true?" "...what? Is what true?" The small but ever persistent smile soon faded as he saw Cece's face. She...was angry...? He'd never seen that dark look in her eyes before and it scared him. "What are you talking about?"
"I should have known. It all makes sense. Who knows my father could have been responsible for your parents' death but I wouldn't know that. No one bothered to tell me anything. The only ones that would know would have been my father, my mother, and maybe even you. Is that why you wanted to save me from the others? For revenge? I need to know." What? No- no- this couldn't be happening. Damian would never- he wouldn't be able to bring himself to do that- was that what Cecelia was suggesting? That he was using her? His eyes widened and for a while he was silent, searching for the words to respond. He didn't know how to respond or what to say-
"No- I-I could never- are you listening to yourself?" Damian stammered, trying to find his voice. "You think that?" He couldn't believe this. He didn't want to believe this. Then again, he didn't know what to think anymore. Damian was hurt- she thought he had done all of that just to..? "I didn't. You have to believe me- I didn't-" There was hurt in his voice, he felt betrayed and didn't know what to do. The accusation hurt him, it was a knife that pierced deeper than any physical one could...
...and it broke Damian's heart.

The feelings that Opal was gaining were strange. Out of habit of stress, Opal licked her lips. She wasn't really sure what was going on with her other than she was confused with herself, which never happened. It was like she was guilty for having to break the two up, but happy at the same time, which concerned her, because it didn't feel like that giddiness was caused by the progress of the Plan. Then she was also nervous that they would work things out, that their love would be stronger than her lies. Those are just stories. And these thoughts clouded her judgement, which is why she cast a glance toward Damian to shake her head slightly, as if in warning. Opal felt adrenaline rush to her arms and legs. She feared this would escalate quickly, and stepped forward to put herself a little more between the two so she could stop Cecelia, or even Damian, from harming one another. I need to keep them from proving to the students here that banding together can save them. Though I can easily fight them off, I don't want to risk anything. Not when I'm this close.
|Lol no. Opal is starting to fall for Damian, but doesn't really know what she's feeling or why. So that's why she took pity on him and gave him the healing ointment and didn't lock him up|

"Thank god you're s-" "Don't even!" she snapped. Her arms wrapped around herself in attempt to hug herself and she looked away from Dami in disgust. Her body shook slightly and she bit down on her lip to keep from crying. "Don't be nice to me..." she sniffled. That look in his eyes. It meant nothing to her. She didn't want him to be nice to her and pretend anymore. Cecelia already knew she was a disgusting human. "You know what really hurts..? Not only do you think these bad things of yourself... but the one you love most thinks them as well." Exactly... I love him and he never loved me. He wanted to hurt me... so badly. "No- I- I could never- are you listening to yourself?"
That made her even more angry inside. Her emotions that she had bottled up were building up immensely inside her. "You think that? I didn't. You have to believe me- I didn't-" Cecelia looked up toward Dami, and she was about to walk over to him but Opal had rushed in between them. Her big, green eyes widened and she stared at Opal in shock. "O-Opal...? What are you doing?" She looked past Opal at Dami and whimpered, looking away. I want to believe him... I-I do but... I don't know.

[[ god I'm so sorry this took so long I'm on vacation and all my time on the computer has been cut shorter kslhflks so sorry so so sorry ]]
Damian could only stand there with a heartbroken expression as the accusations started pressing in on him. What could he say? How could he prove anything? Where had these ideas even come from in the first place. He didn't understand how everything could have collapsed in on itself so quickly. Had he made her angry? Had Damian pressed her into thinking those thoughts? What had he done wrong?
...how could he fix it?
He didn't know what had happened while he was in captivity but it must have been something big if Cecelia was acting like this. Right? Or maybe they just...weren't working out. All the horrible thoughts in his head pushed that knife in his heart deeper and deeper. He didn't understand why Cece would have even considered any of this...unless somebody maybe told her? That could have just been him trying to take the blame off of himself.
"W-why do you think I did...whatever you think I did?" he stammered as he asked the question, trying to speak even past Opal blocking him. "Did something happen- did somebody tell you? Did I do something wrong...? I don't understand-"

Opal raised a hand to no one in particular. Licking her lips in her habit of uncertainty, the nineteen year-old assassin began running options through her head. This could go downhill quicker than I expected, she thought in the blink of an eye. Already Damian had asked the question: "Did something happen- did somebody tell you?" The guilt started clawing at Opal's gut again. She pushed it down. Again. Each time made her feel more susceptible to bursting, finally ripping at the seems that were already so torn. "Maybe this was a mistake. Cecelia, let's go- Before you two do something you'll regret," Opal cautioned. She cast a warning glance at the falling couple.

"Like what? I wouldn't hurt Dami... I..." Cecelia didn't know what to think. She was going to say she loved him but did she really? No... Dami would always be in her heart. She would always love him. "O-Okay... Shadow..." She said and looked at Dami, wondering what she was doing to them. "Where... are we going?"

Damian knit his eyebrows together, trying to think of why or how anything could have let what they were finally starting to piece together fall apart so fast. He didn't even know if her father had been there, that night, when the fire broke out, he hadn't seen anyone, heard anything, he had just flown off. He'd ran, and he hadn't stopped until...
...well, until he'd met her. Damian had been running away from his past, his emotions, and even from himself, until she had come along and...well, saved him, in a way. And after that she saved him again and again. And then she thinks that he's been playing some sort of game with her this whole time, that he'd been setting her up to break her heart, to throw away everything that they had been, everything they ever could be, and for what? Revenge? He would never, never, try to hurt Cecelia, and yet she thought that that's what he'd been aiming to do from the start.
Maybe she didn't know him at all. He'd tried so hard but...maybe they were just not meant to be.
"So...you think everything, all that..." his voice cracked a bit as he spoke, and he couldn't look into her eyes anymore, he couldn't bring himself to look at her as she left. Damian didn't want to watch her leave him behind and broken, again. "...that was all a lie? All of it? It was all some evil scheme I made so I could break your heart o-or something worse? None of it mattered?"
She said she'd never hurt him, either, but she already had.

Two words came to Opal's mind at once: Selfish and Love. She understood what she felt now, she understood why she was doing this to Damian and Cecelia: Because she was selfish. And because she was in love. Opal was in love. Not with Logan, who she had fallen for out of weakness. But Damian, with his pure heart and his kind soul, was everything any girl could ask for, and so Opal had fallen in love with him. And out of the selfishness due to the blackness of her heart, Opal had wedged a gap between the most fantasy-like relationship the world had ever seen. "STOP!" The room took too sudden turns and Opal staggered, her wide, startled eyes falling to the floor for a brief second. The brown eyes then turned to Cece, gave her a guilty look, then without thinking, faced Damian. It was as though she was on an automatic drive as Opal took two steps toward Dami and attempted to give him a warm kiss, because she wouldn't ever have the chance again. Opal stepped back before anything else could happen, let the single tear slide down her cheek, and after searching his eyes briefly, turned to Cece and shook her head. "I'm sorry. I lied. None of it was true." She took a sharp breath. "There is nothing keeping you hear, both of you." That was it. She couldn't stand there to hear the threats, hear the confrontations, see the harsh glares and the looks of disapproval. So Opal escaped to her storage room, locked the door, and silently wept.

I didn't know what to think. I wanted all the mocking voices in my head to become silent. I knew that I wasn't thinking right. Or, that could have been denial. I was all messed up. There wasn't anyone to believe, anymore. Damian's words kept telling me that he was speaking only the truth. I did believe him but part of me was trying to push him away before he could hurt me even more. I guess... I didn't believe him. I wanted to. I was startled and looked Opal's way, my eyes searching her face as if I was trying to read her. I watched Opal walk toward Damian and give him a kiss.
My green eyes were wide, and my heart was aching in so much pain. I opened my mouth to say something but I was speechless. I was starting to believe Damian and then that happened. My heart beat rapidly with anger, and I started shedding tears with a red face. "S-stop playing with me!" I snapped at them both for kissing in front of me. I turned to Opal when she spoke to me. I really didn't want to hear what she had to say- "W-what...?" I looked over at Damian and immediately looked down, hanging my head in shame. How could I say those terrible things to him?
I truly felt awful. I felt like a monster. It was clear as day to me. I knew that he was telling the truth and yet I didn't want to be too sure of it. I lifted my gaze for a brief moment to apologize to Damian. "I.. I'm so sorry.." I broke down into tears and shifted my gaze back down on the ground. I shook my head and tried to limit my crying to just a few sniffles. I didn't want to be seen like that. Besides, Damian was the one really hurt. I wanted to hug him but I feared that he wouldn't accept me after what he saw of me today. "I'm.. going to look for Opal.." I choked on my words and looked at Damian from underneath my red bangs.

Damian stood there, stunned, still, as the events folded in front of him. There was a painful silence after Opal shouted the first word, and Damian hadn't known what to expect, but he certainly had not expected...
...that.
Opal had stepped forward, and stolen a kiss. Damian had frozen again, eyes wide in surprise, frozen in shock and unable to move away, or respond until she pulled away again and he staggered backward, trying to figure out what had just happened. His mouth went try, and he didn't know whether to look at Cecelia or Opal, so his gaze switched from one to the other until the latter ran away and left him alone with Cece.
"I-" he started to speak, but didn't know what to say, and his voice died mid-sentence. "I-I don't know what happened- we-we never--" His right hand rubbed his left arm nervously, his eyes avoiding Cecelia again. Damian sighed, his shoulders sagged, and he heard in her words that she was sorry but he wasn't sure that...he just wasn't sure. Of course she was sorry, he knew that, he really did, but somehow, he still wasn't okay. And he didn't know when he would be.
"She locked the door. You won't be able to coax her out of there for a while," his voice was quiet as he said that, and he didn't realize he was the one talking until the words were already out. "I guess that's it. Neither of us has to stay here anymore."

Why did I do that. What is happening to me? What have I done!? Opal sat shivering from fear behind the door, her sobs drowning out anything the other two were saying to the point where she thought she was alone at last, with herself and herself only. There was no temptation left, only grief, only pain. And beside her sat the jumpsuit. She stood so suddenly she wasn't sure if she was imagining it or not. Disappointment coaxed Opal into a state of pure rage towards herself, and she knocked the mannequin across the room with one hasty kick. A scream came, the tears came, and she fell to her knees, her head in her hands, clawing at her scull to make the thoughts stop and to make her heart stop. It didn't work.
