Benedict RhodinJake Rhodin| Posting Order: Sapphire, Benedict, Jacob | A new life. Sapphire stepped into the cafeteria. It was mostly empty. She only saw one or two tables occupied, and she felt comfortable with that. The less people to talk to, the better. She went along the buffet line and picked up several foods- turkey, ham, carrots, mashed potatoes. To top off her meal, she grabbed a bottle of milk and paid for her food. $19.00, but she didn't care. She found an unoccupied table for four and plopped down with her lunch in one of the seats. Taking her fork, she stabbed pieces of turkey and shoveled them into her mouth, looking around the cafeteria with boredom.

|LOL you don't' have to pay for stuff at the academy, but ok|
Golden hair tossed to the side, brown tips giving him additional lion attributes, as though you couldn't tell with the lion ears and tail. A heaping stack of steak, chicken, turkey, and fish piled on top of the eighteen year-old's tray, chewing swiftly to shovel more in his pie-hole. Shuffling behind Ben forced him to turn his ears back, tail twitching when he realized the person was some ways away, but just another person. Swiveling his head sharply, he took in the sight, a smile planted on his face. Ben turned back to his twin and look-alike brother, Jake, and chewed another piece tender, rare steak. "Hotty, six o-clock," He whispered, giggling to show he was joking around.

(Oops I forgot I existed.)
Jake had his plate full of rare steak and lamb chops. He wasn't much of a vegetarian. As he brushed his own tail to the back and bit into his steak, he heard his twin brother, Ben, joke about a hottie. The half-lion swallowed his steak, looked at his own "mirror" then to the left. Jake looked at the girl, sitting alone, who did look nice. She seemed rather nice too, minus the way she stabbed her turkey. "I'd rather not be included in a relationship yet. Lions mate for life which isn't true but still and I don't want to pick the wrong person." Jake said. He then gave a mischievous smile. "Why don't you try?"

| Lol she didn't literally stab her turkey she just picked it up with her fork (I didn't know how to explain it in words ) | Continuing to eat her food, she looked around and saw two boys sitting together in front of her. They looked almost exactly alike, and Sapphire bet on the spot if she met them she wouldn't be able to tell them apart. She noticed them glancing at her and she put her glance downward to her food. She finished her mashed potatoes, which made her plate bare. She was stuffed. Sapphire took a few gulps from her bottle of milk before setting it down, spinning the cap back onto it and getting up to throw her paper plate away.

"Maybe I will!" Ben responded sharply but sweetly, turning in his chair, tail flicking excitedly. As Sapphire stood, he slid into one of the seats, rested his head on his hands, elbows on the table, a fake gooey look on his face. "Girl, I am falling for you with a net that is our making," He sighed at random. Then, with a laugh, he sat up normal, tapped the table a few times to steam out some energy, and raised a hand for shaking. "Ben. Lion."

Jake burst our laughing at his random pick up line, then calmed himself, finished his lunch, threw it all away, then sat back at his desk to watch what would happen. He gave Ben a thumbs up, flicking his tail in excitement. Yes, this would be interesting to watch.

Sapphire turned and raised an eyebrow at the boy. What was he doing? Flirting? No way. Nobody would ever love Sapphire if they knew the beast she was! "I, uh..." She looked away, feeling embarrassed and awkward in the situation. But, she returned her gaze to the boy named Ben. "I'm Sapphire. Nice to meet you." She shook his outstretched hand and smiled small.

Ben shot a sharp, playful glare at his brother, then returned his jester gaze on Sapphire again, a slight thumbs-up in return hidden behind his back. "So, Sapphire, you got a buff dude to match your turkey-murdering?" He teased, leaning in and smiling playfully. All the lions back home were always falling head over heals for him. Ben wasn't really fully aware that comments like those he made weren't necessarily the ones human or half-bloods would expect as flirting.

Jake rolled his eyes and turned into a lion, sitting next to Ben and pretending to be his "pet." Just to remind him he was using a pick up line. Ha, Jake did his studying on human behavior.

"Excuse me?" She asked Ben, frowning. What point was he trying to get across? "So, Sapphire, you got a buff dude to match your turkey-murdering?" What the heck was he talking about? And the lion that appeared next to him made her guess the two identical boys were half-bloods. They were both cute, but she couldn't like either of them if they were half-bloods. She was human after all.

Ben rolled his eyes at Jake, trying to tickle him where he knew he was ticklish. He smiled at Sapphire, laughed. "I was kidding. But I asked if you had a boyfriend. I'm a curious person, you see. I'm a cat in some ways, after all." He rubbed his arm, dark skin, wide smile, eyes that may as well have been twinkling. "You knew? Obviously we are. This dumb cat doesn't even know how to try and make friends." Ben laughed to himself, tried to just pet his brother on the head. (Why does that sound weird)

I AM NOT DUMB. Jake growled, but then calmed down and just looked up at Sapphire. Besides, I wouldn't want to destroy the happy moment.

She grinned at the two. "No I'm not dating anyone." She informed them. Suddenly, knots grew in her stomach. She felt dizzy and the need to sit down was overwhelming. But she didn't sit down; she stood with all her might. Was this love? Did she like Ben or Jake? No. It was just Ben she liked. Her smile grew bigger at the realization she had finally found someone to like.

|Well. That was fast|
A wide grin. Ben jerked his thumb at his brother, smiled. "This is my twin, Jake. He think's he's all tough when he's just soft at the marrow." He laughed, glared playfully at his brother in a way only lions could know, then rubbed his ear. "It's cold here. How does anyone survive? Africa is soo much more... hot."

Jake muttered some lion curses then turned into a human. "You didn't think I could introduce myself?" he teased. Jake looked at Sapphire and waved, a small smile on his face. "Maybe they wear those long things people her wear." Jake said. "What do they call them? Cotes or jakits?"

| Quick is good fast is better! | "Is it that cold?" She teased, using her index finger to twirl her hair flirtatiously. "Nice to meet you Jake. Yeah, a lot of people wear jackets here." She grinned. These guys were great! Hilarious riots, really, to her.

Ben smiled, laughed, attempted to elbow his brother. "It was nice meeting you, Sapphire. I'm sure we'll - I'll - see you around, because I'm the only one brave enough to talk to woman. Isn't that right, Jake?" A sharp smile.

"And I'm always the one protecting you. Want me to turn back time and let you get mauled by that bear again?" Jake really didn't care about the elbow- he was used to it.

She laughed. "It was nice to meet you too. You and your brother are just so hilarious!" It was almost as if her grin was stuck to her face. She was smiling so much it hurt, but she didn't care. The two twin brothers were hilarious, and she wanted to spend more time with them both... But her mind and heart told her mostly Ben.

"What bear!?" Ben exclaimed, now trying to shove his brother. "There was never a bear! that's just you trying to powerplay my past!" He laughed, turned into a lion, and jumped on the table, crouching ready to attack if Jake came closer, growling playfully, tail swishing, back towards Sapphire to 'protect' her.

"Oh you know, the one that never existed." Jake laughed, but stayed in human form. "So um... what do you AA people do rather than learn here?" That question was directed to Sapphire, but Jake like to pretend he was also directing it to Ben, because nobody likes being left out.

"Eek!" Sapphire jumped back, startled from Ben's sudden morphing. But she turned her attention to Jake's question. "A lot of people go to the Half-Blood Forest. It's the most popular place here. There's also the Animalia Lake, which is a little less popular but I've heard it's a great place to go." She answered.

Ben rolled his large eyes, flopped over and sending the table rattling a bit as he did, he faced Sapphire though, opening his jaws to mock his brother as he talked just for the amusement. He smiled, to show he wasn't trying to be rude, warm eyes talking in themselves. So Ben just sat there, very unprofessional.

"Great!" Jake petted Ben. "So um... is there any dangers here?"
|

|
Post by Sapphire O'Connor on Feb 23, 2015 3:27:18 GMT
She smiled, but her smile vanished when Jake asked what dangers there were. How would she respond? She was one of the dangers. Maybe she should act as if she was just another half-blood, afraid of what lay out in the forest.
"Yes. There are dangers." Sapphire paused, glancing back and forth between Ben and Jake, making sure they were listening. "They like to hang out in the forest, so the forest is never quite safe anymore. A group of assassins are there. Sometimes they work alone, but they're all allies to my understanding, so they work together sometimes. In my opinion, the most dangerous one is Shadow. She seems to injure people really bad. I've heard she uses knives or something like that. Then there's Marie, who uses... A long sword, I think. Then there's a guy named Logan. I don't know what weapon he uses. But just stay out of their way. They've injured some half-bloods, and then there was the rumor of the murder of two dozen."
She bit her tongue to keep from bursting out laughing. Sapphire was an assassin herself, yet she acted so innocent, as if she knew nothing. Lies, lies, the power of lies. It was priceless. Yet it could do so much damage.

Ben growled and nearly snapped at Jake's hand, but froze with his jaws open, turning his large head back towards Sapphire. His tail lashed in annoyance, and he was already trying to talk before he had returned to his human form, squatting on the table, his jaws shifting his words from a garbled series of growls to actual human words. "-argassins!? At the academy?" Ben let out a worried sigh. "That's... wow."
|LOL, Logan's not even an assassin, and he's been slightly inactive, poor at Roleplay, and hasn't been following the rules anyway, so he may not have much to do with the plot anymore anyway ♥|

(lol)
"Woah, what do the assassins want with us? All we do is go around being half animal!" Jake laughed a bit. "Wait... why are they injuring us but not killing us, apart from the mass murder?"

"Beats me." Sapphire said honestly. She didn't quite know the answer herself. Why were they just injuring them instead of killing them? It brought an idea to Sapphire's mind, one that could only be discussed with Opal. Maybe they should start killing them off. Who would it hurt anyways? They were stupid morphers, more special than anyone else. Killing a few off at a time wouldn't hurt anybody.

"Well, as stupid as you guys may think me, I'd talk to these assassins if I run into one. Maybe they just need to cool down but don't know the logical way?" Ben announced, sliding back into his seat.

"And have them beat you up? They're probably psychopaths with anger issues and have no idea how to forgive." Jake sat down with Ben.
