Misha stepped off of the bus, holding her small suitcase in front of her. She put the bag down on the ground and stertched her arms wide, and doing the same with her giant glossy wings. She folded her wings back in before picking up her bag and smiling. She had made it to Animalia Academy. Finally. It had been years since her parents had died, and finally, she was able to move on. While people were generally not her favorite thing, maybe she could find someone here who would understand. Until then, she wasn't letting anyone take pity on her. She hated it when people went "oh, you poor thing," or "I understand," because it wasn't true. She quickly adjusted her shirt so that no trace of the scar on her neck showed, and began walking down the sidewalk to the main building. Nothing would bring her mood down.

Lusaki happened to be exploring the greenhouse when she saw a new half-blood with wings.
"Hi random person I dunno! Welcome to the Greenhouse! You know, usually I'd find people with suitcases at the bus stop!" Lusaki ran right in front of the new person. She seemed nice. "So how did you get here? Maybe you flew? You know, there's alot of winged half-bloods, including me! Am I overwhelming? Yea, I'm probably overwhelming. Oh yea, I'm Lusaki Yomo, half-bat." SHe stretched out her hand to shake.

(Oh poop, I meant to be at the bus stop! Dang it! Thanks for just going with it.) Misha looked at the girl standing in front of her. "Oh, hello," she said, quietly. She had wandered to the greenhouse somehow. It was very beautiful, although she felt awkward to be standing there with her suitcase. "Hi random person I dunno! Welcome to the Greenhouse! You know, usually I'd find people with suitcases at the bus stop! So how did you get here? Maybe you flew? You know, there's alot of winged half-bloods, including me! Am I overwhelming? Yea, I'm probably overwhelming. Oh yea, I'm Lusaki Yomo, half-bat." Misha smiled at the girl's hyper introduction. When the girl stretched out her hand, she shook it, withdrawing quietly. "I'm Misha, Misha Chamberlin. Half vampire bat. It's nice to meet you."

(I was wondering... XD) "Oh cool, vampire bat!" Lusaki laughed, showing sharp fangs. "I'm just all bats in general. Like my mom. But she's off in China. Anyways, where were you before? How did you find this place? My dad sent me here with some ticket, and that's how I'm here."

Misha smiled at Lusaki, revealing sharp incisors, the same way that the other half bat had. "I'm just all bats in general. Like my mom. But she's off in China. Anyways, where were you before? How did you find this place? My dad sent me here with some ticket, and that's how I'm here." Misha nodded, running over what she would say in her head. She didn't want to full out lie, but she didn't want to get the "oh, I'm sorry, your life sucks", etc. in reply. Why hadn't she thought of something to say while she had been on the bus? She mentally facepalmed, trying to think of something quickly before Lusaki noticed her silence. "My.. my parents told me about the Academy when I was young. I thought it was just a fairytale but I found it to be very real recently."

"Well lookie here, the first person to actually not have a dead parent!" Lusaki cheered. "EVeryone here has dead parents. Except for me. And you. But here in AA, we can all relish our animal sides that got our parents killed! and enjoy life!" Lusaki then realized the assassins existed. "Well, for now."

"Well lookie here, the first person to actually not have a dead parent! Everyone here has dead parents. Except for me. And you. But here in AA, we can all relish our animal sides and enjoy life! Well, for now." Misha looked at Lusaki in surprise. "Now, when you say everyone, do you mean, like, literally everyone? And what do you need for now?" Her wings twitched as she looked to the girl, wondering what this school which she thought could be a safe haven might be hiding.

"Basically everyone. It's strange how they seem to have to face tragedy. Well you're lucky! The only challenge you'll face here is the a- I mean cold weather and that rock that always tries to trip you." Lusaki gave a toothy grin. "So what was your life before here? I lived in a small village up north. You've probably never heard of it. My mom travels the world while my dad and I work together 'round our little hut. I used to be terrified of mirrors!" Lusaki laughed. Then she flew up a bit, just so that she could give her legs a break.

The only challenge you'll face here is the a- I mean cold weather and that rock that always tries to trip you." Misha nodded faintly. "Yes, cold weather..." she couldn't decide whether she should tell Lusaki the truth or to simply play along. But there seemed to be something the girl was hiding, so she could continue acting along. She'd call it square. "So what was your life before here? I lived in a small village up north. You've probably never heard of it. My mom travels the world while my dad and I work together 'round our little hut. I used to be terrified of mirrors!" Misha nodded at the girl's slightly disjointed chatter before replying, "I lived in this beautiful cavern, kind of near here. It was kind of quiet, there wasn't much company, well, except for other bats." Of course, quiet could be nice. Quiet also meant that you didn't have to be frightened of being murdered at the drop of a hat. She noticed that the girl had begun to flap a few inches above the ground, possibly restless from their boring standing around. Misha smiled before unfolding her wings and pushing herself off the floor.

"SO your parents lived in a cave with you?" Lusaki asked. "Or are they dead? If they are I wanna know all about it! It must be so exciting to live by yourself!"
(wow. What did I do to poor Lusaki!?)

"SO your parents lived in a cave with you? Or are they dead? If they are I wanna know all about it! It must be so exciting to live by yourself!" Well, there was no getting around that question. "Well, my parents are kind of dead..." she said, awkwardly, involuntarily touching the scar on her neck. "But it was pretty nice living in the cavern. There was one section that was studded with all sorts of beautiful stones," she continued, trying to pull attention away from the awkward 'dead parent' bit.

"Ooh, cave crystals? What type?" "Well, there was tons of amethyst and quartz, and ocasionally I would spot an emerald or opal," Misha replied, smiling. Gladly, they were not dwelling on the mention of her parents.

"O-opal?" Lusaki fought back the memory of her friend. "Wow! You know a lot about cave crystals? So did you have any siblings?"

"O-opal?" Misha looked quizzically at Lusaki, who seemed to have caught her breath. "Is everything okay?" She asked softly. "Wow! You know a lot about cave crystals? So did you have any siblings?" Misha shook her head, although she still couldn't shake the feeling that there was something the girl wasn't telling her. "No, no siblings," she said quietly, still wondering what could have caused Lusaki to freeze up like that.

"I don't have siblings either. What was you mom and dad like?" Misha half smiled, remembering her mom and dad before they had died. "Well, my mother had a very sweet voice, it reminded me of honey, and my father's was deep, he had a British accent. He sounded kind of like a jaguar hiding in a cello. They both had dark brown hair, so I'm nit quit e sure how I got this," she said, motioning to her own blood red hair. "And that's about all I remember." She didn't mention how she remembered her parents teaching her to fly before walking, but telling her never to show her wing outside of the house. She didn't mention how she had showed the girl she thought was her friend her wings anyway, eventually leading to the nurse of her parents. She didn't mention the screams e remembered as her parents had been killed, nor did she mention the knife that had been held to her own throat.

(Ugh. I'm sorry, that post was chock full of typos. Kindles aren't exactly the most efficient typing things.) "Your hair could be an animal attribute. Like.. uh...." Misha smiled."Like.. my taste for blood causes my hair to turn a bright red every full moon?" She suggested jokingly, curling her hands into claws and doing a bad Transylvania accent.

"Yes, yes! So welcome to the Bat Club, with your leader and only other member, me!!!!" Misha smiled. She hadn't smiled this much since... well, she didn't remember when "Here, hold on a second," she said, reaching down and opening a small pocket in her suitcase. When she withdrew her hand, she held two Batman stickers. She peeled on off of it backing and stuck it in her shirt beside her black tie, and offered the second to Lusaki. "I always keep these for, you know, bat emergencies."

"Haha!" Lusaki giggled and took out a small notepad, which was empty, out of her pocket, and slapped it on the front. "Now we really are a club! So what did you do in your free time before you came here?"

"How do you have wifi if you're in a cave?" "I didn't. I just listened to whatever I had on my iPod, most of which is 70's, 80's rock. Carry On My Wayward Son, Bad Moon Rising, songs like that."

"You still haven't old me how they died. I'm guessing its the HBES?" Hooray! Back to death. Misha nodded. "Of course," she said, her voice quivering slightly. She readjusted the collar of her shirt. "You're lucky your parents are still alive." (Yeah, it's not. *dramatic sigh*)

"Your lucky that you lived to be here! You know how much danger you could be in if I pushed you into the human world!?" "True," Misha said, sighing. "Say, what's that thing on your neck?" Crud. Lusaki had noticed. Although, Misha thought, she had walked straight into it, fidgeting with her collar so much. There was no point in hiding it, and it was her own fault for revealing it. She pulled the grey collar of her shirt slightly to the side, revealing a long, thin, pink scar down the side of her neck. "I got it when my parents were killed."
