|First off, I want to apologize for having not continued the plot very quickly. I wanted to give people the chance to make their accounts active, let Angelica leave, and yada yada. But the promised time is here I also want to point out that this thread WILL be graphic. I ask that if you post in this thread, because it's a very important one, I would like that you maintain a strong muse, understanding, and professionalism. Read posts carefully and make sure you know what you're talking about| |The victims are: @jacobparker @coalton, @daidenhail, @jasp, Aly Sight Bane Vespertillio, Charlotte Rayland_ Dean Captor, Ash Ketchup, Kanae Hamuri, Lliliana Day, Rayne Young( Rayne is Unrecognizable!!), Romeo Night, Benjamin Allister, @adgjl9731, @awesomegirl2021, Archer Brooks, jasethesun, Jenna Skies, Jet Marcus, Nathalee Bell, Roseria Brown, Rydia Jones, Sydnie Waters | Weak. That's what they thought she was, despite their neglectance at pointing it out. Perhaps she was becoming soft, rotting in sappy regret from the inside out. But Opal refused to accept the demise of compassion and the loss of a deep hunger, the hunger for vengeance over her father's murder by the half-bloods. The acrid smell of blood sizzled in a cruel, delicious way in the masked nineteen year-old's nose. The familiar sense of achievement nuzzled her in her renewed danger - a danger to others that was her. Bodies, warm and fresh, propped against the trees, at least two dozen. Their cries echoed in Shadow's memories, each assassination as exciting as the last. The half-bloods needed a lesson: Don't doubt Shadow, because you might then doubt your survival. There's was an inevitable change in the way the academy ran looming over the sky like a heavy cloud of acid rain. It was exhilarating to Opal. Dangerous music, beckoning, teasing, laughing, streamed from Opal's violin like a storm. Bach's hurricane echoed through the trees, taunting anyone to come near, to see the light illuminated on the bloodied corpses of their peers, to bow before the black-clothed woman standing, swaying, a dance almost, to the music she strummed, dangerously, a red-lipstick grin implanted on her face. Swayed in the music, eyes closed, but ears alert, playing from memory. The memories that were their screams, and the blood still on the ground and her knives and the soles of the leather boots. She would NOT be weak to them any longer. Opal would be the queen.|Listen to the music as you type. It makes you rp like crazy! It's the link under "Bach's"|

|just for future reference, don't kill my poor angel|
Everyone would think someone like Alice would faint at the sight of blood or gore. But no. Alice Green, age 17, a barnhouse owl halfblood, heighted at 5'1", was used to seeing these things. If you really knew Alice, you would know that there were many suprises hidden inside a small package that is named Alice. Some predictable to others, some not, but she had tricks up her sleeve.
Alice walked into the forest, half expecting to come across one of the assassins. To her, it was now normal to hear that another person was severely injured by an assassin. Alice did have a big heart, but she could be heartless at times. Instead of thinking, "Oh no! I hope no one else gets hurt!" she thought, "Well, there goes another one." The sound of violin attracted Alice like bacon with a dog. The sound of classical music dragged Alice further and further into the forest.
The blood and gore digusted Alice at first, but then she got used to it after a minute or two. She noticed the person playing, and said, "You play nicely."

The music didn't cease, the world didn't stop, and the smell didn't block Opal's senses. She heard the girl, or rather felt it in the earth, the footsteps, the edginess, the slight surprise. Opal turned, face to the girl, ending the song smoothly as she approached. Opal's black hair, black jumpsuit, black boots, all threatening. But her composure mocking, innocent, though intelligent. "Dear, we all know what's really on your mind," the assassin responded in a strong voice, dropping the bow to her side, keeping the violin itself against her neck, lightly. "Though I will graciously accept your praise." It wasn't necessarily regret that held Opal back from killing this new girl like the rest. It was knowing that you can't rule over an empire if there were no subjects. And what was the fun in just killing them all?

"You're welcome." said Alice bluntly. Because she was a normal person, all the blood and death was starting to overwhelm her. Plus she was right in front of the person guilty of all the murders. Alice gulped, then finally looked around. "I see you've been busy." she said, looking up at Shadow. A blank expression glued to her face, Alice started to walk around, and bent down to a young boy with black hair ( Jet Marcus for those of you who want to know) and examined his dead body. She petted a part of his hair (that didn't have blood) and felt sorry for him. He was so young...Ah, and there's another young one. She stood up and walked to another young child, this one having blonde hair and she was a girl.( Lliliana Day) The young girl looked almost like a younger variation of herself. Tears started welling up in her eyes, from memories of her young childhood. All those times this girl could have had, she could have gotten her first kiss, or perhaps made a living out of her dream job. But, alas, she could not.(NUU ALL THE BABIES WHYY SHADOW)

Opal didn't respond, just watching with a proud smirk on her face as the girl walked around her fallen peers, inspecting those she seemed to know. A guilty sense of downing exploded in Opal, but she muffled it's aftershock with the irresistible excitement that lingered in her veins like venom nectar. "Go on. This may be the last time you see them before your foolish principal buries their stupid corpses. But don't get too connected, or I might manage another point."

Alice sniffed, then wiped away her tears. She stood up, and took small steps towards Shadow. "I never knew them, anyways." said Alice shaking her head. "But...why did you have to kill the children?" The children had an entire life in head of them, but no.
Not anymore.
"They couldn't have done any harm. The most they could do would probably just be a nuisance. That's all. But, I guess they could be something worse."

| Assuming this is after Lonely Days and Wild Ways? |
Sapphire was walking through the forest, twiddling her katana blade in her hand. She had her jumpsuit and mask on, but she didn't feel like hurting or killing anyone. She hadn't eaten in a while- her appetite was completely gone. Her stomach growled, screaming for food, but she didn't care. She was still trying to comprehend why Opal favored Lusaki so much, and she forced herself not to eat until she came up with a valid answer that actually made sense.
But then she heard the violin. The smell of blood. She smiled, but was also angry at the same time because of previous events involving her ally. She knew it was Opal by the violin, and she wasn't doubting her theory at all.
She ran towards the music and smell to find Opal, a short teen, and a couple dozen dead bodies. Completely normal!
"What's this?" Sapphire grinned beneath her mask and held her katana in her right hand, ready to strike at any moment. "This is quite the half-blood haul you got here, my dear ally."

"Everyone has the potential to do harm," Shadow countered, toying with a red hair extension clip using her violin bow.
Sapphire's voice make Opal tense slightly, still on edge from her disappointment at her ally's attempt at being above her. She had felt like more of a mentor than an ally. "Don't get excited, Marie. They put up little fight. They've gone soft from their stupid constant protection. Claire is just making them weak."

She smiled. Opal seemed to be back to herself, and that made Sapphire glad. It would be a major disappointment to her if she found her ally was just the same as she had been that certain agitating night.
"Are you planning on doing anything to this one?" Sapphire pointed to the short blonde teen with her left hand, as she lazied a little and fiddled her katana in her right hand. "If you are I hope you wouldn't mind if I joined in."

"No. I need her to spread the word that I'm not am enemy to be taken lightly," Opal responded in a smooth voice, grinning widely at the young girl. "Isn't that right, dear? What's your name?"

(lol kat I love your siggy)
Alice breathed in deeply, in hopes to prevent her from crying out in fear. She didn't want to die, not like everyone else. Alice had multiple fears, one of them being death. She breathed in slowly to help her with the stress she was battling.
"No. I need her to spread the word that I'm not am enemy to be taken lightly," You might think that this would ease Alice's stress, but it only worsened it."Isn't that right, dear? What's your name?" She hesitated for a moment, and then realized what she was being treated as. Alice clenched her fists, and then shouted, "I'm not a child, so stop treating me like one! I may be short but I have maturity!" in frustration. She didn't care if she got killed now for talking back. At least she got it out of her system.
After calming down, Alice spoke. "My name's Alice, and I'm 17 for your information."

Opal burst out laughing. The girl's frustration simply eased her tensing over Sapphire's presence, and she smiled as she gave up her name and age. "It is for my information, than you very much, and I'll have you know that I call everyone 'deary' or 'sweetheart.' Brings back my youth." Opal smiled, skipped around Alice to her own tune, happy in the moment, accepting of her conquest. When she had finished her lap, which was actually partially to determine if Alice had a weapon, she stood in front of her and smiled broadly. "You're lucky today's not one of my bad days. Poor Damian.. Didn't you hear? He discovered what happens when you weaklings cross me." Shadow giggled almost dementedly.

Alice boiled in agitation as Opal laughed at her attempt to be serious. Inside, she wanted to seriously injure her. But, Alice realized that she's nothing compared to her. Come on, she killed all these people, and Alice? None. Never killed anything. Except mosquitos. They had to go. The small half-blood felt sweat (of fear) dripping down the sides of her arm as the assassin circled her. Alice did the best she could to keep from crying, but she still whimpered under her breath. "You're lucky today's not one of my bad days. Poor Damian.. Didn't you hear? He discovered what happens when you weaklings cross me." Alice's eyes became the size of dinner plates. "D-Damian...?" she softly asked herself. After a moment of realization of who he was, her first friend, Alice asked intently, "W-What did you do to him?"Well, Alice failed at trying to keep herself from crying. These were not soft tears, the kind of tears Alice always had, but the kind of tears that make your voice knock down trees. ( why u do dis)

"Oh, don't look so grim!" Opal protested, attempting to raise the girl's chin with a bloodied finger. "He only had a... serious set of injuries." She stepped back, giggled, smiled, titled her head. "What a friend you are. It happened a while ago and you still haven't visited him in the hospital? He must be ashamed of you." Doubtless, the words would sting, or at least Shadow hoped so. Her eyes flashed to Sapphire, smiled, laughed in hopes her ally would join in with her pleasure of making others feel bad.

Sapphire slipped her katana back into its sheath as she watched the "friendly" conversation unfold in front of her. She said nothing- instead, her arms were crossed, and she was grinning evilly as she watched Opal torture the teen emotionally. And though it wasn't physical torture, Sapphire enjoyed it all the same.
Why? Because Sapphire had been tortured emotionally, too, before she had escaped and reached the Academy. Her physical pain was the growling in her stomach from hunger. Her emotional pain was being left alone, locked in her room by her own father, which tore her to pieces every time she thought about it.
"This is wonderful!" She grinned as she took a step forward to make the teen remember her presence as well as Opal's. She had seen Opal's eyes flash to hers, which she knew was the "Okay, join in!" cue. "A poor girl hasn't visited her friend in the hospital. I mean, if it happened to you, Shadow, I would've visited you in the hospital the day the poor event occured! Her evil grin still remained on her face.

Alice tried to make the situation better by wiping away her tears, hoping to stop crying. But she couldn't stop. Alice probably couldn't stop crying for awhile.
There was one thing on her mind: Why is this the first time I'm crying like this? Why didn't I cry like this when the HBES killed my parents and my house perished in a fire? Why am I crying like this for him? I mean, I barely know him, after all.
Why do I not cry like this for myself?
"I haven't seen him in the hospital, b-because I've been hiding in my dorm...f-from you guys." explained Alice.

The black-haired woman chuckled slightly once more and shook her head in mock pity. "Oh, Alice. Rightfully so of you to hide, but by protecting yourself you've let your friend - or perhaps more! - come close to a terrible fate." She swung the violin bow in one hand, deciding to give Alice a moment, and nodded to Sapphire to join in singing if she wanted. "What shall I play?" she asked her ally, readying her violin.

Sapphire grinned, enjoying everything, but she found she didn't have that much to say. To her the conversation seemed mainly between Opal and the girl named Alice. Quickly, mentally, she ran through a list of songs she knew, and sought out the ones that could be played on a violin.
"How about Amazing Grace?" Her smile, to her, seemed gentle and kind to her ally, but dark and evil to poor Alice. "It has a nice ring to it."

Cecelia wanted to see who was behind all of it. What did they want? When would they grow tire of the act? Either Shadow had a reason for all of it or no reason at all because she is insane. Despite what happened to Damian, she wasn't aware that he held back for so long to protect her. And, she went behind his back to put herself in danger, anyway. Maybe I could talk to her... No, no. That wasn't going to work. Oh, Cece... What are you doing? she thought and continued to walk through the forest. The smell of all the blood finally reached her.
Her face cringed in reaction to the smell. Cecelia continued to walk forward and hid behind a tree when she spotted a few girls talking. She backed up into another tree and stepped on something that felt strange. Her eyes grew wide and she slowly looked behind her to see what the heck she stepped on. "AHHH!" she screamed and backed away from the body. "O-Oh, no.... No! No! No!" Her heart beat so fast that she couldn't even think of what to describe it to. Her look-alike brother, Jasper Leerit, was propped up against the tree.
Cecelia crouched down and hesitated as she reached out to Jasper with shaky hands. "W-What.... H-How...?" Her eyes welled up with tears almost instantly, and she wrapped her arms around him. She pulled him into her arms and held him, crying loudly. She was so caught up in the moment that she forgot that her brother's murderer was close by.

Callum, the 21-year-old golden-eagle half-blood, flew overhead, watching the bodies. He couldn't believe it. He spotted three girls, one wearing a mask, the other two talking. The short blonde appeared to be crying. It was the assassins, he assumed. He nosedived down, and turned upward, landing softly on the ground. It was his quickest way of getting down. He walked up to the girl, and covered her with his wings, protecting her. He put a hand on her shoulder. "Please, we have to get out of here, the assassins are right over there. They're gonna kill you!" He whispered.

Raising her bow to the stings, Opal was about to perform her own version of a low-pitched Amazing Grace when yet another young girl, older perhaps, darted in and nearly buried herself in one of the bodies. From the looks of it, and the looks of them both, they had been close. She chuckled evilly, wondering who the new girl was. "He put up a fight," She commented, crouching beside Cece, looking at the body with a kind of mystic remembering. "Kept saying something about Cece. I only presume that's you? That reminds me... Damian sure does care about you if he dared put up a fight at the mention of his sweetheart." Shadow giggled again, waiving her hand to the boy that had landed beside Alice (?), a sign that she didn't mind if they left.

Alice turned around worriedly, half-expecting for it to be another assassin. Luckily, it wasn't. However, it was still heartbreaking to see a crying teen. "That reminds me... Damian sure does care about you if he dared put up a fight at the mention of his sweetheart." Alice cocked her head in confusion. They don't really look anything alike, so they're not siblings...Maybe they're lovers? Oh! Yes, that must be it! she thought.
Opal's wave to Alice shocked her. Soon after, she realized that it was not directed to her. Alice felt something warm, and something soft wrap around her. She looked down, and saw giant feathered wings wrapped around her. At first, she thought she was being kidnapped, but after, she felt more safe.
"Please, we have to get out of here, the assassins are right over there. They're gonna kill you!" The boy's whisper tickled her ear, which made her uncomfortable. "Don't worry, they can't hurt me. I know what I'm doing." Alice whispered back. She faced the assassins, and bit her lower lip. "Why? Why would you kill all these people? I'm sure they couldn't have done anything to you? Could they?"

Cecelia turned her head to look at the girl and she slowly moved away from her. Who was she? "He put up a fight," Was she the one who killed Jasper? Or, was she a witness? Either she was a witness of many crime scenes or she was the murderer. The assassin that went by the name, Shadow. She had been there when Jasper got murdered and when Dami was tortured. It had to be Shadow! "Damian sure does care about you... Oh, really? Cecelia remembered when she started to doubt that he did care for her.
He didn't seem like he wanted her to worry about him. But, that was a way she showed that she cared about him. So, it made her think... maybe he wouldn't be worried about her. Maybe he didn't care for her. I should have known... Never should I have ever doubted him. if he dared to put up a fight at the mention of his sweetheart. "YOU did this to him! You made Rosemary go insane, you made Dami feel bad about himself, and you killed Jasper. What! What do you want from us?"

A small smile, simple, unique, stretched across Opal's face as a answer. "What the HBES can't," Opal insisted, her brown gaze flicking across all the others, then returning sharply to Cecelia. "But you already know that, right? But you must wonder: WHY. There's many things they do to hurt us, humans." She drew a breath, the smell of pure, warm, bitter blood filling her lungs until she just had to let go. "They can never be trusted. Always trying to expel the humans as monsters, when they are the dinosaurs running the planet. Not any more."

"Look, I can't fully understand how you feel but we started this. We were scared, thinking the half-bloods would use their extra strength and powers to overcome us.They were just protecting themselves. It doesn't have to be like this.." "We" were the humans. Cecelia could only imagine the murderer behind it all was a human. It would make sense unless a half-blood really hated its own kind... *cough* Logan *cough* There was a moment Cecelia felt like just talking to Shadow. Little did she know, they actually had a few things in common. (O.M.G. What if Cece's dad knew Opal's dad? xD) "I know it's scary but... the half-bloods are good people. What happened, huh? We all used to get along so well until one day we just started turning on each other."

|THAT. IS. GENIUS| |Wait, Cece's dad was in the HBES, or they were neighbors?| Again, the girl chuckled, slow and deep though, pitying. "Oh, you poor little girl, blind to the world and all that truly happens," she swooned, then replace her face with fierce smirk. "April 1945. A group of newly-discovered half-bloods riot against the United States. They assassinated Roosevelt. Since then, many humans have been killed, nearly three hundred, in secret, by the flea-ridden scumbags. Congress passed a law allowing HBES to exterminate the half-bloods at will or mercy, because they saw the threat in them. Half-bloods started the war that I will finish. But I'll finish it in my own way."

(Yep! Cece's dad was in the HBES. He never let her know about the half-bloods, though.)
"Oh, you poor little girl, blind to the world and all that truly happens, Was it going to be like in the movies where Cece found out the dark truth about everything that was happening? Opal started blurting out a whole bunch of crazy stuff about the past with half-bloods. How could that be? Surely, Dami would've told Cece the truth already.... right? It couldn't phase her, really. That was in the past, and it wouldn't be personal enough to make her turn against them. She was raised not knowing the truth.
Her parents kept secrets from her all the time. Suddenly, it started to become a normal thing where she would just shake it off. "It was a group of half-bloods! Not all of them are evil. I'm aware that they could be dangerous but...." Cecelia felt like giving up on trying to convince Opal to trust the half-bloods. There was nothing she could say to back it up since she barely knew anything about them.

"April 4th, 1968, Martin Luther King was shot and killed on he second-story of the Lorraine Motel. The suspect was never determined. It was Juda Barrone, a hawk half-blood under the name Raoul," Opal continued at Cece's weakening protests. "And you're precious Claire? She killed her own mother. Not one half-blood is innocent." Opal chuckled. It had it's ups to being rich and have direct connections to the HBES.
