Lusaki felt that feeling you get when you probably said something that made someone tap into their touchy mode. Oops. She immediantly decided to change the subject. "Well um.... do you like the school? It's pretty big, hmm?"

(i laughed for 5 minutes It's pretty big, hmm?)
Grant fliched in the slightest way, as Diana's wings had twitched suddenly. His first thought was that his attempt to comfort her had failed. However that probably might not be the case. "Mm?" said Grant, noticing the grief in Dee's voice. Realizing that she was uncomfortable, as well as Lusaki's attempt to change the subject, he went along with Lusaki. "I would say yes, it has literally everything here!" he said.

Dee nodded, though her mind was elsewhere, back in that room, back with Mellenie, back with her parents looming over her, expecting that she could fix her poor little sister, that perhaps the increadible difference of being half-blood could be the source of some mystical power that could heal the ill little girl. They were wrong. And though her parents had forgiven her, Diana never had forgiven herself. And that's the worst thing to ignore.

"Diana?" Lusaki waved her hand in front of her. "Diana do I have to jumpscare you or something? Hello? The school's big, right? Hellooooo?"

Along with Lusaki, Grant noticed Dee spacing out. Something about her zoning out, made it seemed like the siblings question was a bit too personal. Lusaki might've crossed the line. "Dee?" asked Grant. "Is...something wrong?"

Diana blinked, cleared her head, grinned halfheartedly. "No I'm- It's fine," she assured them, drawing a breath, releasing it. "I'm just... I'm sure you guys have had worse..." She stood there, the pounding of needing to sing burning a hole in her. Emotions drew in songs, songs pounded her to the ground if she didn't sing them, and lifted her to the air when she did. "This is going to sound really odd, but I need do sing," Diana said, blushing. Taking a step towards the door. "I'll just go... I'm sure you don't want another random performance..."

"It's okay." Lusaki used her wings to fly (she couldn't walk very fast). "I like your singing. I'm sure Grant does too. We've never had a singer in AA.... I think."

"Honestly, I think everyone here wouldn't mind hearing you sing again. It's fine if you don't want to, it just that if you did, we wouldn't have a problem with it." said Grant coolly. Need to sing? Well, we all have special needs, but needing to sing? I'm sure sound rude, but that's just...abnormal. Oh, who are you kidding, Grant? You have the power to change into an animal AND you have wolf ears.

Diana smiled, warmly, honestly glad Grant had suggested she sing there. It mellowed her, made her feel comfortable. "Thanks, eh.." She responded, slightly ignoring Lusaki, blanking on Grant's name. "Thanks.. Brant? Trent? GRANT. Thanks, Grant." Dee blushed, but hopped up the stairs, took the microphone, too a breath, considered her song. "This is just.. A song in recognition to my sister, and all those we've lost. Stay strong, guys." Licked her lips. Shifted her weight, and let Titanium blast through the speakers like a melody from the depths of the purest heart.

Lusaki had heart that song before, so she made no special "OH MY GOSH" movements, but she did smile. No, Lusaki had never lost anyone she loved. She hadn't found anyone she loved. Her dad already gave her up, but she learned to continue loving him with no regret. Then something sparked in Lusaki as she thought. Yes, she had lost someone- Opal. She knew Opal wasn't Opal, she was a serial killer. That made Lusaki widen her eyes. A sting ran through her.

Grant chuckled at Diana's fail to find his name and smiled wider when she walked up to the stage to sing once more. "This is just.. A song in recognition to my sister, and all those we've lost. Stay strong, guys." His smile softened as he heard the dedication, and soon turned into a frown. Not a frown that is upset, but a frown of anguish. Grant never lost a family member, but he did lose someone he cared for.
You shoot me down...But I get up...
Angelica was Grant's angel. His savior, a companion. Alas, she was too young, too young for an untimely death. Memories of him and Angelica flooded back to his mind. All those happy times, all those laughs...
I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose...Fire away, fire away...
Tears started to well up in Grant's eyes, and he rubbed them away with his sleeve. They were not tears of sadness, more of tears of happiness. Angelica got to spend her last moments with him.
(omg im crying)

Diana's voice almost cracked, her beautiful, high, perfected voice, simply at the memories of her poor sister, lying there, coughing and clutching her abdomen in pain. She didn't say anything to finish, just leaned her head on the microphone, the connection making a low thump sound echo around the cafeteria. Silence was the only thing she felt, silence and sorrow and a kind of acceptance that she didn't need praise for such a saddening tune, such beautiful voice, and such an important, yet painful memory.

Lusaki clapped, practically because she knew her manners. It was like her normal applause: Fast, rappid, like a child's.
