Sapphire O'Connor Opal StroleLusaki was scared to go into the Half-Blood's Forest after what happened three days ago. But accompanied by a few vampire bats and fruit bats, Lusaki felt brave. She hung upside down on a trunk with her buddies. It was nighttime. Totally against what the school wanted. Lusaki was actually prepared today, with her "weapons" (a few water balloons) and some skills she picked up. SO now Lusaki just stayed in peace, talking to her bat friends and telling them of her fears, worries... they were just bats, but it made Lusaki feel better. "Three days ago," Lusaki whispered. "This person named Marie made me tell her all I know about the school..."The bats answered their sympathy in whines. "I think I might tell Opal about this. She could teach me more self-defense." Lusaki whispered again. The glowing moon illuminated Fang, one of the vampire bats. Good idea. The bat said.

The night was quite. A silence that deafened the excitement and anticipation that Opal possessed hung drearily across the sky, and stars twinkled their concerns each time the black-clothed assassin passed into the moon's rays. Perfect. Opal swung her head around, crouched near a tree, her entire body nearly invisible in her black, thigh-high boots, black jumpsuit, black hair, and red hair-clip extensions. With Sapphire hopefully behind her, the young woman observed the land. She couldn't wait. But something worried her, an almost untraceable worry. Opal, who went by Shadow at the period of time, decided it was due to the fact that it was the first time she had been out at night on an attack mission with Sapphire.

Sapphire crouched behind her ally Opal. She was so excited to be out with Opal. Together, the two masked psycho killers would catch a half-blood prey and torture or kill it. Hopefully it would be someone besides the boy Sapphire had met and Lusaki. Ugh, Lusaki Yomo. The thought of the little girl almost made Sapphire throw up. The girl was so weak for a little girl, and she despised it.

Lusaki was at a peaceful state. She was aware of everything. Besides, she was half bat, she could easily sense where Sapphire and some other person was. Lusaki had thought about this moment. When Lusaki took control (or at least tried to), Marie had tried to take it back and succeeded. Lusaki felt like she knew the killer's weakness. Maybe without control, without the feeling that she had things handled, Lusaki could run away. Oh what was Lusaki talking about!? She barely knew the insane Marie anyways. Lusaki stayed still, continuing to use echolocation. She ordered the bats to stay still, too.

|Uh, you god-modeled. Lusaki couldn't have heard them if they were silent, plus they weren't moving| How to drag them out? Opal wondered, throwing her sharp brown eyes around the darkness. She had taken the time to get Sapphire a mask, which the girl was wearing. Before setting out, she had forgotten what to call her companion. After all, if Marie was her ruthless mode name, but was also what she called herself around the academy, she would be quickly captured. Without saying anything, Opal shifted her gaze behind her and nodded, showing that she was about to call them out. There were some new students that didn't know about Shadow, and even if they did, her voice could be persuading. Raising her head to the sky and inhaling deeply, Opal released a loud, theatrical scream that could have summoned anyone within a mile. She could only hope that the mile contained a victim.
|What does the mask look like, Kat? Try and put more description in. I'm having trouble RPing with things I don't know |

| Thanks for sticking up for me Sunny | She was a little startled at how loud Opal's scream was, but she knew it was coming when Opal had nodded to her. Sapphire secured her brown and dark green camouflage mask (link coming soon). | Sorry it's short, I don't think there's much to say |

(I deleted it by myself, Sunny.... you can delete your thing now) Lusaki stifled an eep and flew away, ordering the bats to follow her as she attempted to go back to the academy. She continued to use echolocation, flying around trees as quickly as her wing could go. Lusaki was terrified. Had the killers tried to kill someone? How could Lusaki be so selfish? But Lusaki knew she could never do this alone. She needed help. (not much to write either) Sapphire O'Connor your turn

Mildly frustrated, Opal took off after the flurry of wings. Withdrawing a knife sharply from her belt, Opal shouted "Pin it when it falls" and threw the knife towards the lead bat's wing, hoping only to clip it so that the animal, which was obviously a half-blood considering its heading, so it would fall. It frustrated Opal deeply that the half-blood was so selfish to just run instead of falling into her trap, PLUS she had just thrown a perfectly good knife that could be hard to recover.

Sapphire took off after Opal and the flying, winged animals. "Got it!" She yelled to Opal. A mere half-second after she yelled, she saw a knife blazing in the air. Sapphire knew in a heartbeat it had to be Opal's, because Sapphire didn't throw the knife, and it would be a slim chance a winged animal could throw a knife.
As Sapphire ran she waited for a bat to fall, so she could pin it, following her ally's instructions.

Lusaki fell to the ground. Lusaki just wanted to crawl in a hole and die, but she quickly got on her foot. She took out the knife. This might be useful.Lusaki kept the knife in her hand. It would be nice to actually defend herself with a real weapon. Lusaki took a deep breath, then continued running, ignoring the pain throbbing in her wing. Stupid assassins. The half-bat was terrified, but tried to stay brave. Her life depended on this. Sapphire O'Connor

Running her fingers through her hair, Opal grinned. There was no way the young half-blood could outpace Sapphire, let alone defeat her in a battle. Flipping another knife end over end, Opal skipped dementedly across the forest ground, lightly bounding after the omega assassin and her prey.
|Short, I'm sorry, I'm busy thinking about death|

Sapphire saw the bat fall and ran to it, running as fast as she could push herself.
But, since the moon was out that night, the bare glow provided Sapphire with a little view. She then saw the knife the person was holding. Wait, hold up a minute- was that Lusaki? It was a little girl by Sapphire's view. She stopped running to see the person closer. Knowing the girl had a knife, she pulled out her katana from its sheath.
She took slow steps towards Lusaki, katana in hand, ready to slice anything at any moment. "Who are you?" Sapphire asked, to confirm.

(I was still running but okay) Lusaki wasn't scared. She was terrified. Lusaki looked at Marie. Yes, she knew this person. The moon illuminated just barely Marie's outlines. The katana glinted menacingly. Narrowing her eyes, Lusaki replied, "You know my name." Yes, she was aware Sapphire had a weapon. She would probably get sliced up. But Lusaki raised her dagger defensively. Actually, she had no idea how to fight (Opal's fault) but she figured stabbing it counted as a good move. Did it? Sapphire O'Connor

As Opal approached, she flipped her knife a few to.ea in her fingers and stood at Sapphire's side tilted her head. When the girl spoke, Opal hesitated. Something about the girl was familiar. "Who is she?" She asked Marie, confused, not knowing who the girl was, though the girl seemed to know her ally.

So it was Lusaki, then. "It's Lusaki. You know her?" Sapphire stopped walking and turned to Opal. "I captured Lusaki once. But she got away. And I'm going to get her back." She snarled, turning towards the girl. She started slowly advancing towards Lusaki, getting angrier by the second as the memory of taking the girl hostage and failing came back to her...

Opal held her knife out w, a strong attempt to stop Marie in her tracks. "Lusaki?" Opal voiced, concern ringing her voice. "Is.. Your Lusaki?"

"Correct! You win a prize!" Lusaki laughed for a moment, then realized she was dealing with two assassins. What a lucky day! Lusaki backed away at speed of Sapphire was advancing on her, avoiding a tree. "I assume I'm going to be dead in a while. I guess I'll just kick you." Lusaki aimed a random kick at Sapphire's shin. Where are people when I need them?

Opal knocked away the kick, as to make sure there wasn't any sudden aggression blown up. "Lusaki? Hold on.." After casting a half-angry half-regretful look to Sapphire, she kneeled down and blinked trustily. "Lusaki? I... Please, I need to know you wont tell anyone who I am.. Because I would kill you if you did... Lusaku, its Opal."

Lusaki blinked once. Twice. Three times. "O-Opal?" Lusaki's voice quivered. "No, Opal is never like this. Opal's nice. Opal's smart. Impostor!!!" Lusaki tried to kick Opal. (okay we should let Sapphire O'Connor reply...)

Sapphire blocked the kick from Lusaki. Don't hurt my ally! She thought angrily as she gripped her katana with both hands and brought it down towards Lusaki, aiming for the blade to slash her shoulder. "Aww, you poor thing," Sapphire cooed, faking a sweet, sympathetic tone. "Don't mess with me or my ally."

"STOP!" Opal exclaimed, holding her hands out. Blocking Lusaki by putting herself between the girl and Sapphire. Standing in the light, she took a deep breath, reached over her head, and pulled the mask off. She felt the world stop. Was it the right thing to do? Was she going soft?

A slash went through Lusaki's shoulder, making Lusaki moan in pain. Then a sudden pause. Lusaki's face came from pain to shock, as if she'd ran into a tree. "A-Ally?" Lusaki then looked at the impostor, who took off her mask. Her hair was black, like Opal's. Her eyes were dark brown, like Opal's. Her facial features, which Lusaki could figure out through echolocation, was like Opal's. Lusaki's lower lip quivered. "O-Opal? M-Marie's a-ally? B-b-but..." Lusaki looked up at Opal again, a look of anguish on her pale face. "But you're my friend."

A tear threatened Opal despite her best interests, and she shook here head slightly in anguish. "So was my father, Lusaki. You need to understand that." Turning back to Marie, showing she was filled with regret and pride and the need to cut something to pieces at the same time, she thought of her failed missions. With Logan, with Adam and Damian when she lost her temper and cool, and now Lusaki. Shadow was being lost in the depths of being human. And she knew it. One last promise. "But I won't hurt you. Never. I won't let Marie or Sapphire or anyone else hurt you. But you can't tell anyone who I am."

What was happening? Had Opal and Lusaki met? Why did Opal take her mask off? Why did Opal say her name aloud, when they were supposed to be secret assassin allies? She felt dizzy. She felt like she was going to throw up. But she kept her mask on. An acclaimed secret assassin must keep her identity a secret, right?
"Woah woah woah," Sapphire said, slipping her katana back into its sheath. "What's happening here? Can someone please explain? Her dizziness overcame her and she sat down, propping herself against a tree.

Lusaki blinked and then looked at Opal. "I don't get it..." Then Marie spoke, and Lusaki decided this was something for Opal to answer.

Turning only her head, Opal allowed herself to take in the grim expression, or at least the change in the way Sapphire held herself, that she noticed as an ally. "Lusaki and I met a while back. She's... she's a good person. Not stupidly good, like.. like everyone else. She's trustworthy. Follows what is right. I just hope she knows what is right..." She responded, then turned back to Lusaki. It tore her in two, this meeting. One one side she was aching for vengeance and to proclaim herself the title of merciless. On the other, she wanted to embrace the girl before her, to raise her in the comfort of knowing that things will be okay.

"Who cares if she's trustworthy? If you melt for too many kids like this who knows? You might use your weapons to protect the half-bloods, not injure them!" Sapphire rolled her eyes. She didn't take to the nice side at all at the academy; only when she was acting she would be kind, and even then she was still acting. Didn't Opal want revenge? It was surely what Sapphire wanted, and she thought the two were alike!
Her dizziness had officially left. She stood up and pulled her katana out of her sheath. "Come on, Opal," Sapphire tried harder to reason with her ally. "How 'bout this. We injure her a little more, just a little, and then we let her go. That sounds fair to me." She grinned evilly beneath her mask.

Lusaki blinked. "How about something that won't injure me?" Lusaki's voice was steady and even, but her heart felt like it had been ripped apart. "Maybe like personal messenger. Sending message of doom. I really don't want to be cut up. Maybe like, pledging allegiance? " Lusaki looked at Marie and Opal. Then she swallowed back fear. How could Opal, of all people, be evil? How could she be human? How could she try to kill her kind? Lusaki looked at Marie.

Sapphires words stung, but the not as much as the pain of protection. A whirl, faster than she usually was, she had pulled a long knife from her belt, lunged at Marie, attempted to pin her stiffly to a tree with the knife at her throat, and snapped a sharp kick at the girl's wrist in a very strong attempt at knocking the katana out of her hand. In her haste, Opal had hardly heard Lusaki, but the words registered, and consideration crept into the contemplation part of her. "Hurt Lusaki again, you'll find that being my enemy is far harder than being dead," She growled, narrowing her eyes, stiff, alert, and in any kind of fight-mode.
